As a stay-at-home mom I really needed something unique to help me get back into shape after my second baby. I am not comfortable leaving a newborn baby with gym babysitters and I don't want to pay for a private babysitter just to exercise. After much research, I found THIS! Moms on the Move is a cardio/weight training class that allows me to take my baby with me to exercise, and it's during preschool hours so I don't have to take 2 with me! Plus I get to chit-chat and have interaction with fantastic women while I exercise. It's not just for moms with babies either, or moms, or babies. Peace thru Strength offers every type of fitness class, personal training, and group exercise you can dream up and with class times that fit anyone's schedule. At the time, the Karate Kid was popular and my parents had a coupon to the Dragon Gym, They figured, at the least, two weeks free training and a uniform would be a neat experience. For the next 14 years, the Dragon Gym transformed me into a disciplined, healthy, and focused individual, and helped lay the foundation for spiritual growth and introspection. It's so much more than an activity. It's a way of life. The current head master, Somnath Sikdar, and his partner, Master Lonnie Beck, came up with me through the ranks. After a 20 year absence from the area, I've returned to find that the current iteration of the gym has maintained what makes the Dragon Gym special, while adding different arts and programs and putting great effort into tailoring progression to fit a child's intellectual,physical, and psychological development. To sum it up, there's nothing like the integration of body, mind, and spirit coupled with the ability to focus and overcome challenges in your life. I cannot think of a better extracurricular practice for a child to grow into and be prepared for adulthood than becoming part of the Dragon Gym family.

I was so nervous, out of shape, and positively convinced that I was going to make a fool out of myself that I almost turned around in the parking lot. But upon entering the classroom, it was immediately apparent that the EY methodology is based in safety, strength, and education. They've managed to find the perfect balance between body and mind that seems to be lacking in other yoga studios. Meaning: EY is not a fitness boot camp nor is there an overemphasis/push to subscribe to a common spirituality. You are given the freedom to pick and choose what you're comfortable with, which allows you to make your yoga practice about *you*. It's truly a beautiful thing. Just bring yourself and an open mind: the instructors will do the rest, guiding everyone gracefully from pose to pose, offering individual help and modifications as needed. Everyone at EY, including the members themselves, have been consistently kind, respectful, and welcoming. **I'd also like to point out that the Brand New Beginner's (BNB) course is PERFECT for people (like me) that find confidence in knowledge and appreciate the extra assurance. Ask questions, take things slow, and learn the "how & why" of yoga in a safe, positive environment. It was one of the most rewarding decisions I've ever made. The best part? You've got nowhere to go but up within EY. The cost is very reasonable and the pricing structure is designed to get you to attend more classes, rather than get you to pay for more. But most of all, great martial arts learning is about great teachers. I know because I trained for years when I was in high school, in college, and in Asia afterward. Master Kremin is a wonderful teacher who meets each person at their level and pushes them to their potential if they are willing to reach for it.
