Over the two years that my daughter was enrolled in classes at this studio, my experience was…read moreconsistently disappointing. Ashley, Betsy's daughter-in-law, frequently cancelled both group and private lessons without making them up, even though we paid for them in full. My daughter participated in singing and dance, and Ashley cancelled numerous lessons that were never rescheduled or refunded. The cost was excessive for the quality and reliability of instruction we actually received. The situation worsened when I notified the company that we would be moving. In the months that followed, my daughter was treated unfairly. She was yelled at and embarrassed during class, not included in the same way as the other students, and clearly singled out. At the end of the season, I asked that the check for our recital tickets not be cashed since my family would not be attending. Ashley and Betsy agreed at the time, but then cashed the check anyway. When I followed up, she promised to issue a refund but never did. In addition, we were required to purchase thousands of dollars' worth of costumes that we will never use, including a $300 dress that my daughter wore for a total of 15 minutes. The overall experience felt dishonest, exploitative, and deeply unprofessional.

Danced in movies, music videos, and television shows. Also adding a broadway show, multiple dance companies, and cirque du soleil. The training wasn't easy but the result changed my life.

First of all, this business has since moved to West Chester…read more The new location is a renovated warehouse, and is difficult to find because one would not really believe that a dance studio could be there. However, the inside facilities are gorgeous. Although, they are still working out the kinks as the air conditioning went out several times throughout the night. I am very sad to give this place a poor review, as it is one of the closest places to where I live to dance. However, this is just a poor place to go to dance. The night I went there, there were very few people there, and almost no single people. Fortunately, I brought a few single friends with me because I was afraid this would be the case. Most of the singles there were women, some of whom did not dance much all night. The couples only danced and spoke with each other; it was very cliquish. Never thought I would use that word to describe an experience past high school age. Even the teachers did not dance much with the singles, perhaps that was because 2 of the 3 were women, however, I still think it is a shame. I appreciate it when the teachers ask new members to dance and draw them into the dance community. The quality of instruction was also poor. Some of the steps were taught incorrectly, and the instructor was not always clear in the way material was presented. The instructor did not seem to dance with proper technique; perhaps they were not trying in a social setting, but nonetheless this was my observation. The music was also dated, and not to my liking. I tried to request a song, and was told everything was prerecorded, so that would not be an option. To end on a positive note, the food that was served was homemade and very good. I was told one of the instructors made it. At least that made the non-dancing portion of my night bearable.

I could see some of the absolute beginners being left behind though, and it was a little slow for my preferences- but they did well with a wide variety of experience. There are definitely very few single people there (at least when I went) so I felt bad for people who didn't have a partner. Their private instruction is also decent. You get a whole hour to yourself to learn what you need to learn, but it will be ... partly what the instructors want to teach you. I won't go into detail, but there was an incident of their instructor undoing what I had spent a good amount of time teaching someone (I wasn't wrong, it was just different - and different for a specific reason). I was very displeased with that, but also understand that the instructors thought they were doing my "student" a favor. Their social dance parties are fun - again, if you have a partner. I went with a few girlfriends and was only asked to dance once or twice. Most people danced around the floor with the same partners all night. But it was still a good time and I've been back.

Love Life Time. It's my safe haven for an enjoyable, rewarding time with my community that I now…read morecall my friends! The staff who take care of the building are diligent and helpful. My only feedback is that they need to have better yoga and cycling teachers. This means that the teachers should be engaging and supporting; at the very least, smiling at each member and making them feel like they belong in the class. We need the instructors to improve and be more engaging. Like previous Life Time Wayne yoga teachers: Caitlin and Amy. Also, the music can be too loud in the workout floors and in the locker rooms at night. Everyone has earbuds in anyways, so why blast the music?? Looking forward to the improvements.

I have been a member of the Lifetime in Wayne, Pennsylvania for roughly a year and a half and just…read moredecided to cancel my membership. To start with, here are the good things: 1. Nice Equipment 2. Generally nice floor staff 3. Pretty clean 4. Good class selection. The not so good: 1. It is SO expensive and they keep increasing the price, even on existing members. There are also certain things that I assumed were included in the exorbitant membership only to find that they had exorbitant fees of their own. For example: I was wrong to think I could bring a guest to the pool, that would be an additional $50. Unless you use it daily and make use of the amenities (which I did for most of my time) it is very hard to justify. 2. I was initially really excited to belong to Lifetime but had some interactions with staff that left a really bad taste in my mouth. For example: I invited a friend to join me in my workout and was confronted and told training people was not allowed when I demonstrated how to do an exercise. The confrontation was hostile enough that my friend said outright that he would not consider joining the gym to work out with me. 3. It has become very overcrowded to the point that during peak hours it is hard to get floor space, which is a reality for a lot of gyms but still worth noting. For people that really want to workout, you can expect to change your workout to account for a lack of equipment availability. On occasion the only version of a machine has been out of operation for months at a time. 4. There are a lot of ways that the gym feels corporate and focused on a mission of making the most money possible at the expense of member's experience. The 30 day cancellation policy is a final example of opportunistically gouging you because they can rather than just letting you go before the next billing period. In hindsight I regret giving roughly $3800 to Globo Gym when I have had better experiences elsewhere for so much less. I really would not have bothered to write this if they would just let me go but the last ~$180 (prorated) monthly fee is worth it for them. You will meet some nice people at this gym but that is in spite of not because of LifeTime.

"It's not the problem, it's how the problem is SOLVED that counts!"…read more It's the end of June 2022 and our daughter Vlada is on her way to Peru for her third TFT summer experience. After 10 days, she was then to go to Ecuador for another 11 days. Over the last few weeks, there has been extreme political upheaval in Ecuador. It's very dangerous indeed. As concerned parents, we reached out to Ned from TFT whom we've dealt with for three years now. Ned was very aware of the situation and assured us that they were monitoring the situation daily. We trust Ned. Ecuador is a problem. Pivoting the kids to a different destination at the last minute is a problem. Managing concerns and expectations from multiple families from multiple world locations is a problem. Fast forward to a couple of days prior to departure. Ned informed us that TFT made the (right) decision to cancel Ecuador and like travel magicians, they pulled an alternative Costa Rica adventure out of a hat! We could not be more delighted with the RESPONSIBLE decision TFT made and our daughter could not be more excited about the change in plans. As I wrote, "It's not the problem, it's how the problem is SOLVED that counts." Good job Ned and TFT. Excellent job. A heart-felt thanks.

When I brought it up to TFT after the trip, they blamed my son for not saying anything. My son had a terrible time. I don't think they did a good job creating a safe community where a child, alone, in another country, could speak to the leader. I was also disappointed with TFT's response. They were dismissive and unresponsive. I would not recommend this program.
