They cancelled a field trip we had booked six months ago with less than a four days notice. We won't be calling on them again!

Then they talk about "same day appointments," you show up, as early as you physically can because (what if you work or have children, HENSE US BEING ON LINE) anyways, you get there and they turn you around saying there's "no more slots available," like what!? By the time you get any help, or any answers, most of the slots for the classes are TAKEN so you have to either enroll for some BS class, or take a class you didn't even want to, in that particular semester. It's almost like they put the online students on the back burner, and IT SUCKS!!!!!! Like they make it so inconvenient & it makes me soooo angry!!!! There's literally NO HELP!!! Idk about other departments, but the SOCIAL WORK DEPARTMENT/ADVISORS, omg, NO!!!!! It would be better if they had MORE THAN ONE freaking advisor per group of last names!!! One advisor per one group of last names is absurd. It slows things down, it makes people frustrated, and discouraged!!!!!!!!!!!!! Idk, I'm kind of regretting starting the social work program here at this school. I am so perplexed, angry, upset, overwhelmed, and this is the end/beginning of EVERY SINGLE SEMESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck talking to financial aid and advising. They don't answer the phone and if they do expect…read moreto be on hold 2 hours. God forbid you're a working adult with real life responsibilities who just so happens to be an online student and you need to speak with someone. They also don't respond to emails either. There is no customer service whatsoever for online students. Please reconsider going somewhere else. Once you're enrolled, you're dead to them.

Absolutely love Art Castle. My son has been going there since he was in kindergarten and now is a…read moreSenior in High School. We moved to Oklahoma a few years ago. We come back down to Hurst every summer just for him to be able to take classes for a week. All of the instructors are patient, kind and caring. They want every child to do their best and be proud of their work. I love to go in a few minutes early for pickup just to hear the instructors working and encouraging the kids. The instructors are always positive and upbeat. I have not met one student or a parent of a student to ever say a bad word about Art Castle and the teachers. Your children are in excellent hands and will come out with a great experience and love of Art.

Everything is all fine and dandy unless you are melanated. You claim that a kid has behavior issues…read morebut then you do not mention that until the next day . Then you say well he doesn't really have a behavior issue when we get ready to pull him from camp. Then you state that well my child said his school teacher called us several times for behavior issues. So as an adult you believe a little kid instead of having a conversation with the parent(s) ? Who cares about your 20 years as a school teacher prior to this? All that does is allows you to group kids based on past experiences but you missed on this one. In your mind, you think we are " just some regular black parents". The truth is we are very educated and do accept false narratives. This child had won many awards for his school work , helpfulness, and citizenship. He has tested in the top 3% percentage in the country for math & reading in his age group. He plays the piano very well, plays the guitar, has a true love for art. Never once has there been a behavior issue and I have the references from the daycare, private schools, and gifted and talented schools that he has attended since 3 years of age. I am a realist and the one thing that I will not let happen, is for anyone to create a narrative that is untrue. If you were telling the truth, I could live with that. You have a problem within you. You have a "better than" complex. The other people that work for you know that you were not honest with what you said today. They may be afraid because of their jobs. It appears to me that there is no issue except for the fact that he is very intelligent and brown skinned. Well you now have your wish....a color free school.

I took it to Visual Expressions and they were up to the challenge of finding a way to frame the puck. We have become frequent customers of Visual Expressions over the last few years and bring everything to them. They do quality work in a reasonable amount of time. Just today I dropped off my wedding day memorabilia to be put in a frame. They worked with me on the layout and selecting the matte and frame. I trust their work and opinions in the layout (I do not have an artistic eye like they do). I am very excited to see the final product when its ready!

It was easy to select the classes and the schedule was easy to work with. The instructor helped guide my kiddo with her projects. They helped unlock my daughter's hidden talent. She was so focused on digital art that I thought it would be too challenging to work with paints, chalk etc. I believe they helped develop a budding artist. They were a starting point for her interest in art. She is currently enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin in college level art building on her experience. I recommend for anyone who wants to explore their inner artist or develop their existing talent.

Each child is different, and matching a college with their personality, interests, abilities, and…read moresocial ways can be a challenge. My youngest is playing football for Texas Wesleyan and it feels more and more like "home" every time we step foot on the campus. This is a place where personal connection to your environment, fellow students, faculty, and staff MATTER. Here the "we care about your child" isn't just spoken, but lived, at every single level of the University. College isn't for everyone. If it's for you (or your child) check out Texas Wesleyan if smaller CAN be better - smaller campus, smaller classes, more tightly reigned focus (after all who really needs a degree in 20 different Chinese dialects?!), and a staff that knows your child's name. This isn't A&M; this isn't TCU. This is like Cheers in a sense - everyone will now your child's name and will do everything they can to make sure they succeed. This is the right fit for my bright, communication-focused, self-directed child; it wasn't about whether he was a big fish in a small pond, or a small fish in a huge pond. This is about finding the right-size pond where he can thrive. I believe with my whole heart that TX Wes is that place. There's a Rosedale Renaissance going on; I can't wait to watch this place and its community get better and better!

The professors are are almost ALL liberal thinkers and Marxist. Critical Race Theory is pushed in almost every class. 1619 is not condemned as fiction and questioning professors blatant biases is mocked. Some classes are even proudly anti American. It is not a safe place for conservatives not Christians.
