Been thinking about heading back to school. This campus offers a paralegal program, so I headed to…read morecampus in order to speak with an advisor. Unfortunately, no one was available to speak with me; however, a phone appointment was scheduled for next Monday at 10 a.m. Woohoo! The lady I spoke with was very accomodating and satisfied every question and concern. She was ultra-professional and didn't seem in any hurry to move on to the next person. This showed me how much she really cared, and that I simply wasn't a number or random student to deal with. This is an open-air campus, which means the buildings aren't connected. Wonder how that would fare during inclement weather. Anyway, please check out this school.

I used to go here before transferring over to a university (UNT). It's alright, it's just old and…read morerun down from what I remember. What irked me was that the buildings were not all connected to each other so if you had class in one building and then class in another and it was raining, well good luck getting soaked or whatnot! Also when I was there, there wasn't that many spots of food choices on campus, just a Subway from what I remember. There was no coffee shops on campus from what I also remember, the closest one being that Dunkin across the street that I'm not even sure if it still exists or whatnot. The advisors there too weren't necessarily the brightest either as they had me working my own schedule out and what classes to take.

I want to pre-face this by stating that Stage Notes is a great place for kids to learn music and…read morearts. I have nothing against them. Their pricing is reasonable. However, one of their most recent hires is a Racist. His name is Raven, and he is at the Colleyville branch. This statement is not due to an incident or a miscommunication, it is a culmination of 4 months' worth of micro-aggressions. When it started, I assumed it was probably Sprectum-related (I have one of those) so benefit of the doubt. However, as time went on, his interactions with other parents, much paler in complexion, was just amazing. But when it comes to me, I got no updates, no progress reports. He would literally walk past me to go and inform the next parent whatever updates is needed, but not me. I tried to mention it to him, and all I got was a grunt. After a handful of weeks, I discussed it with the Office Manager. I'm sure she tried her best to address it. I am paying for Piano classes on a monthly auto-draw. I have no idea what progress is being made, what needs to be worked on adjusted or encouraged, and the instructor acts like my presence is his life's greatest inconvenience. Finally, I confronted him on the issue. He proceeded to go on the most bro-Schmo podcast rant I have ever heard, and just ended up calling me a liar, liar, you're lying, You're a liar. This was happening in front of my kid, so I had to be calm because they learn their conflict handling skills by observation. I stepped out of the room and let the class complete, because it had already been paid for. At the end of the class, he stated, "Next time, you come in here with a better attitude" with a weird smirk on his face. After that, myself, my kid, my pants on fire, and my auto-charge gladly left the building. So, in conclusion, Stage Notes is great. However, if you get assigned to Raven at the Colleyville branch, you will get great service. Just make sure that you're light skinned enough and pale enough, even if it means skipping your tanning appointment. #RavenTheRacist

My son began taking lessons here recently after a hiatus. His teacher Simon is phenomenal. My son…read moreloved him! He works so well with children with different needs (autism) and is upbeat and positive as well as challenging. The school offers lessons of all kinds as well as opportunities for performances. They are friendly and flexible with parental involvement and the payments are easy to set up. I recommend to anyone looking to sign their children up for instrumental or voice lessons or to take lessons themselves.
