I have never in my life had someone attempt to refuse treatment unless getting on a deep cleaning schedule without showing evidence of any bone loss. A total money grab! am ashamed to say I had not been to the dentist in 8+ years. Just a function of laziness and putting it off, plus a situation where someone else used to make the appointments for me. I decided I was being stupid and needed to get this back on track, so I started researching online. I have heard many, many, many commercials for Mint Dentistry and other "Dentist in a Box" spots, but was skeptical. They tout the thousands of positive reviews online, which is valid to a point, but I've never found positive reviews that helpful. Look at the negative ones. There, I saw mention of the cattle-call/sheep-herd approach that happens at the new chain places - very little personalized service and a quick, surface level check. No thank you. In contrast, the reviews for Arts District were almost universally positive and touted the amount of time and attention spect with patients. I can now attest this is absolute reality. My initial appointment went for approximately two hours. In that time, totally covered and zero cost to me via my Metlife insurance, I received x-rays, multiple photographic reviews of all teeth, a thorough two-pass cleaning with the scraper thing, a brushing with the nasty dental pumice paste, gum assessment and finally an assessment by the dentist. Despite my long absence from the dental game, there was no judgement at all. I had a couple of fillings (30 years old) which need replacement. I have a spot on my tongue (probably because I bit it myself) which they want to keep an eye on. No push for extra services, no pressure at all. Just a happy staff glad you are taking responsibility for your teeth. read more

Dr. Padilla is, without question, the kindest, most thorough, most effective dentist I have ever encountered. He discusses every step of the process with you, he is constantly aware of how you are feeling and what you might need, and his work is superior to all other dental work I've seen. He has given me 6 veneers on my front teeth, several other crowns and fillings, and has always been willing to work through each step of the process with me. His office staff is informed and eager to help. Believe it or not--it's ENJOYABLE to go to the dentist. Do not trust your mouth to Dr. Eric Wear!!! Do not get a mouthguard from him! My insurance covered the cost at my new dentist ! I payed for 2 guards at Art District Dental! First one knocked off a gold crown and injured my lip! Finally offered me a new one , I paid for, didn't fit, too tight! He just cut out a portion ??? $418.00 guard??? The final straw , I was concerned about an X-ray of an implant and bone infection... he informed me " you can't get an infection in your bone" I was a patient for over 6 years! Beware! First trip here and it was great! Kelsey was my hygenist and she was very informative and explained everything she was about to do in a very non-scary way. Their waiting room is very cozy and they have great receptionists. They also have a big tv above your chair so you can watch and not be focused on the pricking and prodding that comes with going to the dentist. And while Dr. Wear is with you, they'll pull up your xrays or photos on the tv so you can follow along. Great!! read more

Recently moved to the area and needed a new dentist. I always have cavities no matter how much I brush and floss, so I am no stranger to the dentist. Was feeling some sensitivity Monday and got an appointment Wednesday (pretty good considering I am a new patient). The front office staff was very friendly and waiting room is cozy and updated. Only had to wait for about 5-10 min before going back. I was lead to the procedure room which had TVs with volume control and cable mounted right above the chair. I love this in a dentist. The equipment all seemed updated. Once I got in the chair the dental assistant, Aiden, was such a pleasure to speak with. Very nice and sociable. She put me at ease as she took my X-rays. Dr. Weir came and was a super nice guy. He put my X-rays on the TV overhead, and went over the options. Pretty soon he offered to do 2 fillings that day. Considering my 4pm appointment, I thought it was awesome he was willing to stay past 6:30 working on me. He numbed me up and him and his assistant went to work. The procedure was the usual but they had several tools that I had never seen before that were AWESOME. My favorite was a bite wedge that suctioned my mouth at the same time. Made the whole experience seem like I was chilling watching TV...with someone digging in my mouth. No stress of holding mouth open and holding your tongue back! Point is, if you are looking for a new dentist, go to Dr. Weir. You won't regret it. Was not expensive, his staff and facilities are great, and you will get quality grill work! read more

I was trying to come to this dentist as a new patient, called back in May and was unable to get an appointment until late June which was fine. But this week they called saying they had to reschedule due to Dr. Wear needing to attend a funeral which I completely understand and he has my deepest condolences for his loss. But it was the fact at how unaccomodating they were to getting me rescheduled that has me writing this review. I was looking at almost a month out to be able to be seen due to their availability and my schedule. And when I finally said I guess I will just cancel, they didn't seemed at all concerned at trying to keep me as a patient. Dr. Wear & his staff are amazing! I don't dread dentist appointments anymore because everyone is so nice and caring. The staff is always friendly whether you are calling to schedule an appointment, make a payment plan for multiple visits, etc. It's the little things that go a long way here like everyone asking how school is and remembering something I'd told them during my last visit. The staff is very personable and treat you with respect. I had a lot of issues with my dentist in Houston and was anxious about finding someone new. I don't think I could've found a dentist better than Dr. Wear! The office is very nice and clean. I love being able to watch TV while having my teeth cleaned. When I had cavities filled last year I was able to watch TV with headphones which was a great distraction from such an uncomfortable experience. The dental hygienist is very nice too. Instead of lecturing me about flossing she just gently reminds me to angle my brush toward the gums instead of making me feel bad about not flossing daily. Rude staff and even more disappointed in their treatment of long time customers. I would recommend anyone look for another dentist in the area. I missed an appointment because I woke up with harsh symptoms of COVID-19, and the last thing I was thinking about was the dentist. I was more focused on breathing and trying to get a hold of my doctor because symptoms were NOT mind in the slightest, and their policy is if you feel sick stay away. Unless they preferred I showed up anyways and stood their with my mouth open endangering them all? Well, months later after receiving nothing in the mail I get a phone call today at 9:00am advising me of a $50 balance for a "no show" - I kindly explained the situation and that I was sick and did not think to call the dentist and for two weeks you really don't care to think about much of any of that stuff other than getting better well, the dentist office's billing must be so desperate for cash that her response was "oh well, you should have called or came in to advise you were sick" ?!?! H O W ?!?! I've been a customer for a few years now and it sucks they don't care enough to lose a customer over desperation for $50, I would advise anyone to go elsewhere maybe with a more caring staff. They'll charge you a $50 fee in a pandemic during what I would think is the "worst case scenario" but as a customer I never cared when they were always late on appointments but hey that's the reflection of their establishment I suppose. Do yourselves a favor, and find another dentist to serve you better. read more

My husband and I were in Fort Worth visiting family for the holidays when he came down with a really terrible tooth ache. Dr. Wear actually met my husband at his office on Christmas eve day. He prescribled antibiotics and pain relievers so we were able to enjoy the holiday. I think it'sespecially awesome, considering my husband wasn't an established patient, and he knew that he never would be, only because we live in another city. Just moved to town and cannot tell you how happy I was to find Art District Dental. The staff is AMAZING- super helpful and sweet. The Dentist was very kind and efficient. It was a wonderful experience and they even gave me complimentary X rays so my old dentist wouldn't have to send them over. The office itself is clean and comfortable and very welcoming. They even have televisions mounted on the ceiling above your chair so you can watch a show while they work if you want- I chose to chat with the cool dental hygentist instead. I went to Dr. Wear after a recent bad experience at another dentist. The other dental office was unwilling to send over my X-rays for him to review, so instead of requiring me to pay out of pocket for them he said that he would not charge at all. He examined me very thoroughly and explained everything he was seeing until it made sense to me, then gave me a reasonable treatment plan. The hygienist Stephanie did an excellent job educating me about my teeth and how to keep them clean and healthy, plus gave me a special polish on the house. Carrie at the front desk was very helpful getting my appt set up and explaining the charges in my treatment plan. Great office!! Art District Dental is truly an amazing place to go if you are trying to take care of your beautiful pearls. I moved to Fort Worth back in 2015 and let me tell you, my teeth were in terrible condition. After a random search, I found this place through my insurance website. I was hesitant first because my experiences with dentists were horrible in the past. However, after meeting the whole team for a few times, I noticed that they try very hard to make you feel like you are welcomed. From what TV show you watch to what your future plans are, they seriously write all that in your files. Dr. Wear also corrected my fillings and performed three root canals on me (I was not kidding when I mentioned I had bad teeth). For the past two years, my teeth were well-taken care of and they were in their best condition... like ever. I had been researching for a new dentist since I was new to the area when I found Art District Dental. I completed one appointment and was scheduled for two more. I called ahead of time to reschedule one of the two appointments because of an unexpected memorial and was told there would be a $50 charge for missing the appointment. The guy was sort of "short" or rude as well.
