My 9 year old always looks forward to going to the dentist because they have always gone above and beyond to make it fun and make her feel comfortable. When my 83 year-old mother had issues with her dentures, Dr. Ku immediately made time to see her although she is not a regular patient. He also provide her all of her options including cost effective options. I have been a patient of Dr. Ku's for over 14 years and can't image going to another dentist. Also, I have never been offered a credit to write a positive review so I don't know what previous posts are referring to.

And then there is Dr. Ku! He is great- really took time to teach me and did not make me feel rushed at all. He is very knowledgeable! The scariest thing for me is when I have a cavity and need numbing- I hardly even felt the shot and I didn't feel a thing throughout my procedure. His hygienists have always been top-notch, and my current hygienist, Rhonda, carries on that tradition well. All of the office staff are very professional and friendly. In addition to my routine cleanings I have had several crowns and fillings and I have a long-term "pocket" behind one of my molars where there was incomplete closure after wisdom teeth removal in the army 40+ years ago! Dr. Givan always checks this very carefully and he and I are able to manage this to both of our satisfactions. Despite the fact I am a retired cancer physician, I have to confess to letting a white spot on my tongue go untreated for many years, despite Dr. Givan recommendations that I have it further evaluated. As it turned out I developed a small cancer there that was removed by Dr. Jesse Smith (Head and neck surgery, also an excellent physician!) and Dr. Givan continues to keep a close eye on this area. I'm from New Orleans and I moved to the DFW area in 2015. My teeth had plague that I could brush off and there were some sensitive spots. So I knew I needed to go to a dentist but I was concerned about the sensitive spots. But my concerns were lifted. The staff took me step by step through the procedures, cost, and recommendations. Most importantly, they noted my sensitive areas and cleaned them without much pain. I didn't know the sensitive areas were cleaned until I got home and stared at the mirror for about a hour. I can't say the same for everyone. But they definitely took care of me. I recommend them to others and can't wait to go back later this month.

First of all - he recognized my fear, and did not belittle me for it. He did not chastise me for my lack of dental care, and he offered me options for comfort, while we move forward with a comprehensive plan to get healthy, and start a regiment of regular dental care. My husband was not given a good faith estimate--required in Texas--and did not ask for an amount as he has had several done in the past within reason pricewise. This time it was $1850. It is unfortunate that Dr. Franko's wonderful name is associated with the price gouging and lack of warmth that have taken over the practice.
