I have to update my review because I went recently before a show at the fox and no one was friendly at all. It was pretty empty and it took over 10 min for someone at the bar to even acknowledge or ask what I wanted. We finally ordered a martini, glass of wine and a spinach artichoke dip and I was shocked at the price being $60 plus. They do include gratuity so the total made more sense but the lack of service I did not love that. Our app took about 20 min to come out, it was good! The menu said it came with pita but it did end up coming with chips. Which was fine by us because it was good. The drinks were also well made and tasty. You really can't beat their gorgeous rooftop patio views of the city! Could have just been an off night but I felt it was worth noting.

We came here after dinner and were treated to a live solo violinist. It was quite beautiful considering we were up there on the roof and it was a such a pretty night. The space is pretty open and offers seats in the bar and all throughout the rooftop. We managed to snag a corner at the bar and were able to get drinks with a minimal wait. I got the blue lagoon and he got the mango mojito. Both were fruity and quite pleasant. Mine reminded me of blue kool-aid but in a good way. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, but enough alcohol to make you feel like you were still an adult. I enjoyed his as well and really liked the combo of sweetness and mint combined. We stayed long enough for a drink and then left but enjoyed our time while here. It's def a great date night spot or a place to get a drink before you head out. I'm sure we'll be back.

Great city skyline views, lots of drink options, and great vibes! I love stopping here before a show at the Fox! My only critique is sometimes the staff can be a bit cold and unfriendly- can make getting a drink feel daunting. But this rooftop is definitely a must visit in STL!

Went to the Art Bar before a show at the Fox, great view, nice bar, but they are a little light on help, the bartender was working hard but she was getting overwhelmed and this was a Tuesday. I plan to go back and give it another shot as the vibes were great, I'm hoping the service issue was just a fluke...

My friend and I ended up here on a whim - we wanted a drink at a festive bar, given it's the season of holiday pop-ups! Our drinks were very tasty, we opted for desert vibes. The presentation was clearly on point! But, rather pricy for a cocktail in STL, with the automatic gratuity my total was over $20. Not my favorite holiday pop-up bar ever, it felt a little bit lackluster in the decor department. I don't think they even had Christmas music - if they did it was very quiet. Bartender was fine, not very attentive. We finished our drinks and never were asked if we wanted another/the check, so after 20 minutes we just decided to ask for the check.

I visited the hotel for the art and bar experience. The hotel lobby is a small Art Gallery. There is two art installations exhibited. The Cirus Flora and another The Gallery of doors: Intergalactic ecosystems. It's was great to learn about the non profit circus based out of STL. And then was immersed in out of this world experience with the Gallery of Doors. The rooftop bar had a great ambiance and great view of the city. I would visit again

Their Christmas pop-up! The Moose Mug Lounge is a must, if not solely for the moose-shaped glasses some of the drinks are served in. Rooftop vibes but inside seating so no need to fear the cold. It was poppin on the Monday night I was there with my group, but we were kindly moved down to a private area with a server downstairs. Our service was super quick and wonderful, especially considering how many different drinks were ordered. The festive lights and vibe of any pop up bar but with the added art to gave upon here makes it stand out.

We decided to check out art bar after a show at the Fox. We tried some holiday cocktails for their Christmas pop up bar and everything was pretty good! I loved the espresso martini and the whipped cream and cookies on top definitely took it up a notch

Roof Top Bar is gorgeous. It's dimmly lit to give a romantic feel, but the music is so loud though can't hear one another. We didn't get any food here this time. However the drinks were on point. However, service could have been a a little friendlier. You have to pay to park as well, unless you are lucky enough to find street parking.

We went for the Moose Mug Lodge pop up Christmas bar and it was so cute! We loved the movie theme they picked and how much they stuck to it! The views of the city here and wonderful and offer a unique view of the skyline. Drinks were pricier than last year when I went here but we still had a good time!

Excellent service at the bar!!! She was very friendly and attentive. They have a great outdoor area overlooking the city. It is a great spot to chill and enjoy the beautiful weather. We tried one of the flatbreads on the happy hour menu. It's more like a thick crust pizza but was very flavorful!

The drinks were really good and I loved the location. It's such a great spot to hang out! I'd definitely come back again.

Logistics - This location earned points for being a unique spot however overall the experience left a lot to be desired. Art Bar is located on the top floor of the art museum hotel. We were hotel guests so we were already paying for parking but I did see a lot of spots on the street that you could use for free. Once inside take the elevator all the way to the lobby then turn right and head up the staircase. Technically another elevator went all the way but it didn't seem to be the main one. The hotel, lobby and art museum are very cool and worth checking out. Pro tip, you can walk around with your drinks! Experience - I'm super patient with service but I placed an order to go with a cocktail to have while I waited. We had about an hour and a half before a show next door so the plan was to order food to go, drop it off in the room and head out. About 30 mins goes by and my partner joined me, we got another round while we continued to wait. After an hour we were running out of time for the plan. My order was just hummus and tacos & they weren't packed so I was getting concerned. I got the bartenders attention to ask for an eta and they ran back to the kitchen to check, after about 5 more minutes they came out with our food. The food - We grabbed the bag and ran out then dropped off the box in our hotel fridge. When we got back to the room after the show (ready for snacks) I was really disappointed by the contents of our box. Everything was packed together in the same container. The tacos weren't horrible, they did what they needed to do but the hummus was... lacking. Lacking in physical hummus and lacking in flavor. There was maybe a tablespoon max and veggies just tossed on top. If it wasn't so expensive I could have looked past everything but the drinks were around $20 each and with our apps the total came out to almost $100. I hear there are a lot of places close by to try. We just were really focused on getting something easy and ultimately we paid the price of connivence.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the tacos I ordered during my first visit, but I definitely forgot. The cilantro rice was also so good as a side and I loved the street corn, it was so creamy and delicious. My main pick when I visit now is the half southwest rice bowl with grilled chicken. It is the right portion size and has all the things I love in the rice bowl. I forgot to add avocado/guac on this last visit, but that's usually a good thing to add on top or to the side. It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)

When we walked in, the place was empty, besides the singular bartender standing behind the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a table near the bar. Then, she politely asked us to move to the bar. She apologized and said she was new and that she didn't know what was going on. We started with an order of chips and salsa and shared a mango margarita on the rocks. Let's just say our marg was missing the rocks. The bartender forgot to add ice, so our margita was warm. She gave us a cup of ice to pour in. The marg itself wasn't very strong and tasted pretty syrup-y. Although the chips and salsa only cost us $2.50, I probably could've gone without. I don't think I would've liked them even if they were complimentary. The salsa was decent, but the chips were saltless and flavorless. We ordered two tacos and the arroz con pollo plate. My tacos came out at different times. Both were tiny and disappointing. I had the Hemp Avenue taco and the Sarah Street taco. The black bean juice was everywhere. The tortillas were dry and fell apart. They brought out a quesadilla instead of our arroz con pollo plate. We were confused, but the bartender insisted the order was correct. Then, a few minutes later, the correct plate was brought out. I guess I can't be mad that we scored a free quesadilla. However, it was quite soggy and the cheese was almost a rubbery texture. While we were there, a DJ started playing. The volume of the music went back and forth between increasingly loud and extremely quiet. None of the other staff members acknowledged us whatsoever. It felt like we weren't even there. I hate sounding so pessimistic, so I will say two positive things: their outdoor patio looks like a fun spot in the summer, and I bet this would be a great option if you've been out partying all night and need some food in your belly. Overall a bizarre experience from start to finish!
