I do not…read morerecommend this place. The tuition is extremely expensive, and based on our experience, it was not worth the cost.
This was our child's first-ever daycare/preschool trial day. We completely understood that he might cry and struggle with the transition, and that was not the reason we decided not to continue.
Our concern was how his basic needs were handled.
We explained during our tour that our child has limited speech and primarily communicates through signs/ASL, gestures, and the words he is able to say. Because he cannot always verbally tell an unfamiliar adult that he is hungry, thirsty, uncomfortable, or needs help, we felt this was especially important information for the staff to know.
I watched portions of his day through the camera app and, at one point, had to call the facility because I could see that he needed help getting his sweater off.
We were also concerned about his food intake. He ate very little breakfast, and during lunch I did not observe staff actively offering him food. At pickup, he immediately communicated that he was hungry when he saw the food we had packed. He ate the entire meal in the car and then ate more when we got home.
The most concerning issue was water.
At pickup, the children were outside in the heat. Other children had their water bottles, but our child did not. He was visibly flushed and had very little energy to play normally. He was mostly standing or walking slowly and appeared to be looking among the other children's bottles for his own.
We were told there was a communal water jug and cups available outside. However, his personal water bottle had been put away with his belongings, and when we found it, it was completely full.
The app also documented four diaper changes throughout the day, but his water bottle remained completely untouched. I cannot medically determine how dehydrated he was, but seeing that his bottle was still full, combined with how flushed and low-energy he appeared and how urgently he drank when we gave him his bottle back, left us extremely concerned about how much fluid he actually received during the day.
As soon as we handed him his bottle at pickup, he drank from it for an extended period of time. That was heartbreaking to see.
There was also an incident where he hit a staff member once. We do not excuse that behavior. However, because of the timing and the fact that his water bottle had been put away, we are concerned about whether access to his water could have been withheld because of the incident. We cannot know the staff member's intent, so we are raising this as a serious concern rather than stating it as fact.
His father had also specifically asked that chapstick be applied as needed because his lips were extremely chapped. The chapstick was packed in his backpack, and when we picked him up, it was still completely sealed and unused.
We understand that mistakes can happen, especially on a first day. But when you have a child who cannot reliably say, "I'm thirsty," "I'm hungry," or "I need help," those needs require extra attention.
We ultimately withdrew him and will not be returning.
We have contacted the school regarding our concerns and also reached out to corporate. At the time of writing this review, we have not received a response. If we do not receive a response, we are prepared to report our concerns to the appropriate licensing or child-protection authorities for further review.
I am sharing this because I would want to know about these experiences as a parent, particularly if my child communicated differently or had difficulty advocating for their own basic needs.
