Man bun bartender is either too cool for school or just rude. Either way, I felt like we were bothering him by sitting at the bar he was tending. Asked if WiFi was public and he mumbled something and gave me a piece of paper with the password, writing was illegible and I couldn't connect. I needed to get in touch with my elderly parents. He did not care. We quickly left (as to not be a bother anymore) and went 3 miles up the road to Bear Lodge where we had a great time with friendly bartenders that didn't make us feel unwelcome; and I was able to connect with my folks. read more

This is for the food and service, as we just stopped in on our drive around Bighorn National Forest. We got the house burgers and pulled pork nachos. The burgers were delicious and came with sweet potato tater tots. I asked for mine extra crispy and with their sriracha mayo dip. We sat outside at a table with an umbrella and the chairs were comfortable. The man even stood outside with us and told us about the wildlife! read more

First off I'd like to let people know that Arrowhead Lodge has new ownership and our experience did NOT reflect the previous owner's terrible reviews! A week's stay and we loved every minute of it! A group of 9 in 4 different cabins, and no complaints. We enjoyed being able to gather around the fires and eat as a group, see lots of wildlife (lots of moose), and spend time fishing in the pond. My visit to the area was to camp at a nearby site. I tripped over the restaurant on a walk and treated myself to lunch. The salad was delicious. It had the most incredible smoked pulled pork I've ever eaten. The savory lunch was memorable. Marsha, the manager and Erica my waitress even more so. Thank you both for making me feel so welcome! Had lunch here yesterday. It was nothing but amazing! Our table had the pork nachos, fried pickles, buffalo wings... all were excellent. My bacon cheeseburger and hand cut fries were both amazing. The service was great, we got our food quickly, the host was personable, and the log cabin ambiance was very cool! Definitely stop by here when you get the chance! Ignore the old reviews. This review is based SOLELY on our treatment by the manager, Kaitlyn. I had lunch there with my senior sister and her husband. They split a hamburger and a bowl of soup. I watched the food sit under the heat lamps for several minutes before I finally when and asked about them. She argued that they had just came up and it was on camera if I wanted proof. When I got the check, there was a $2 charge for cutting the burger in half. I said that was never explained and we certainly never asked for it. She commenced arguing with us about how much more it cost to bus the table (it was plastic baskets). Kaitlyn is by far the worst I have ever been treated in a restaurant. She was rude and agrumentative. The hamburger was good. My sister said the soup was awful and didn't eat it read more

This place take poor customer service to an entire new level.. like they are actually trying to get bad reviews... ? or. unaware that the internet exists. Room with no hot water for two days with zero done about it. Acutally told that we were just using the water at the wrong time of day.. we tried it at all times. Told them about the hair in out dirty sheets and asked if we had a proof... no apologies or any suggestions on how to help. She acted like I was making it up. Manager must be a relative bacause there would be no other reason to have her around ..... zero. burnt electric blanket shoved under TV.. no fridge or microwave, cell serice, wifi, or even a land line in the room... no ice machine ($3bucks a bag) Bathrooms are locked and you have to ask somebody if you can use them. like a child. Unique experience, we thought we were on a reality tv show or something like punked. kept looking around for cameras. towels had holes in them towel rack in bathroom was in two pieces. booger on the TV, hair in the bed... Reviewing the restaurant. I haven't stayed at the lodge. The restaurant is the best of the places to eat on top of the mountains. They had new managers take over in 2018 and their food is excellent. Fresh cut fries are especially notable. The location is gorgeous. There's a small pond for kids to fish in and there is RV camping nearby as well. It's mountain paradise around there. read more

The 2 stars are for the location. This place is old, but that could work as a charming aspect if it was clean and well maintained. It isn't. From the restaurant, to the hotel, to the cabins,everything is dirty, worn out, and tired - including the staff. Staff are also some of the rudest we encountered during a week long trip that included lots of stops. I get that it's tourist season and you are tired, but get a job outside of the hospitality industry if you can't be bothered to treat customers like people. We stayed in one of the rustic cabins. The bed was basically a box spring on a frame. Only one window had a screen and opened. The shower house was filthy and smelled. Pretty much everyone else staying here occupied themselves by riding their 4 wheelers around the parking lot and the cabin loop. Lots of unattended dogs as well, 2 of which got in a fight right in front of our cabin. Twice. We had one meal here- dinner the night of our stay. Brisket was terrible, more than half fat and served lukewarm with what looked like dried parsley sprinkled over it in a pathetic attempt at plating. Accompanied by a side of what I am pretty sure was good old Heinz bottled barbecue sauce - cold. We skipped having breakfast and opted for granola bars and a quick getaway. Will be back to the Big Horns every chance we get, but definitely won't be back to the Arrowhead unless we hear of new owners. Too bad, this place could be wonderful. read more

The bartender is nice. The 'cook' , is awful. Ordered a burger, medium rare.... When we got it it was RAW. When asked if we were happy with the food, we said no. There wasnt any apologies, or an offer if we would like to try something else. read more

We stayed in cabin 8. The staff service at the Lodge was terrible; the cabins were not clean; nobody seemed to know anything; restrooms were never stocked, no toilet paper, no hand towels, no soap, & never cleaned the entire week we were there. We checked in for a week which was supposed to be $150 + tax. They charged our card for 7 nights @ $49 per night + tax. We had to leave 1 day earlier than expected, and they credited back 1 night, but refused to honor the weekly rate so we ended up paying $294 + tax for 6 nights instead of $150 + tax for 7 nights...! Roberta, who is supposedly the owner, said we were charged too much to begin with, but refused to do anything about it. We could have been just as comfortable staying in a tent. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place is a special kind of awful. Worst night I've had in quite a while. My family was there for my brother's wedding. They messed up our reservation from the start. We were told we would be next to the bath house, and we were not even close. We got one of the cheap cabins, and it was dirty. There was trash left behind by a previous occupant. Our kids had to stay at the lodge with my parents because the cabin was infested with spiders. I literally killed at least five spiders within a half hour of being in the cabin. We were not the only people in our group to half problems either. They dropped a reservation and did nothing to make up for their blunder. Gave a key to some guy to stay in the room my parent's were already in. There was no heat in my brother's family's cabin. The staff was rude when asked for help, and no help at all. The one shining rest of hope for this place is the food is good and the bartender was nice. Unless you are hungry or thirsty, don't even consider stopping by this "rustic" crap hole. There are other hotels in the area that I am willing to bet are better. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! read more

We've been hearing for months how the Arrowhead Lodge has the best hamburgers around and found out today that it's true. We ordered the House Hamburger and it came with lettuce, onion, pickles, tomato and special sauce. Absolutely delicious. Fries were good too. The wait staff was courteous and checked on us frequently. Chef brought out their berry shortcake for us to try and I think I'm in love. Definitely going back. read more
