Somehow, we were seriously inconveniencing her by staying there, because every time a customer (our group included) interacted with her, we were met with a passive aggressive response and an eye roll. The rooms were perfect for how we used them, any other place I would feel bad shedding wet snow gear, this place was built for it. Now the sled rental... The sleds were great and aside from a temperamental Mother Nature, the snow was fine. I did have a crash early on our first day, and needed some repairs done. The repair was done fairly quickly, but incredibly over priced. I referenced every part number used on the machine and was over charged for parts by about $120. Also, the repair included needing a new ski. The shop replaced the ski with a used part, yet I was charged new price for a ski... Pretty shady way to do business. Also, I'm not doubting the mechanics ability, but I watched the repair be completed, nothing was torqued to spec, or aligned properly more than "eyeballing it" so when the sled came back, they tried to nit pick the mechanics repair. And entertained the prospect of having me pay more for his incompetence. Also, when asked for a copy of our rental contracts, we were told we were not allowed to have copies to double check pricing and deposits. Needless to say, I will not be staying at this lodge again. Until they can employ fair business practice. If you have plenty of money to burn and don't care about good business, stay at this place.

While the receptionist was patient and empathetic, I feel that they are partly to blame and they need to remove themselves from external booking websites if they can't keep better track of their availability. But based on other reviews, I think the universe looked out for me and I am satisfied with a room I found in Sheridan.

The housekeeping staff was argumentative about the dried, blood, urine, and dirt in our rooms. I called Choice Hotels and asked for refund and they said they could not do this. Unhealthy conditions, I now have a bacterial infection in my eyes, which I had to seek medical attention for. Terrible experience! Cancelled by Choice membership as called the customer service number would not refund the rooms, even though the experience was worse than a nightmare!

My favorite meal is breakfast and you get a wide choice of options including my favorite bacon and eggs. I booked Thursday thru Sunday and brought my 26 year old son along for the trip. Everything about our stay was perfect! the lodge and our cabin was clean, welcoming and comfortable. The food was excellent, and our fishing guide Chad was incredible. We caught dozens of fish over two days, and when coming back to the lodge at the end of the day we were welcomed by Cary and David with a cold drink and a great dinner. Cary and David provide guests with everything they need, and no detail is overlooked. I highly recommend the Bighorn Riverview Lodge and Cabins, it was perfect, and can't wait to go back!
