I needed a dog-friendly place to stay after my car broke down on a roadtrip, and I found this lovely little vintage motel! Their room rates are reasonable, and they have a weekly rate, cabin rentals and rv hookups, in addition to the rooms.
There's a little shady grassy area, a patio with a grill, laundry facility, and a wild area off the back end that makes for a nice longer leg stretch.
The rooms are nice size, and well maintainted. Air conditioning, television, mini-fridge and microwave. Near to a park with walking trails, and even though it's a bit on the outskirts of town, there are several convenience stores and a couple of chain restaurants right around the motel for a cup of coffee, a soda, or a pizza delivery, if you don't feel like driving into town.
The owners and employees are so kind. My overnight stretched to three nights, and then a week, as I waited for parts, and they held my room, gave me local recommendations on attractions to see while I was here, and were super nice to my dog, who is a little shy of strangers. read more
