Upon checking in Destiny (I think that was her name) greeted us with a smile and was prompt and friendly. Once we entered our room, it immediately felt warm and cozy and was super clean. We got a great night's sleep because the bed was very comfortable but what I loved the most was the nice hot shower with great water pressure. We actually enjoyed our stay so much that we asked Summer, the morning front desk associate (who was also very friendly) to book us for a night in the same room on our return trip. I made a reservation on line at this hotel for two nights July 4 & 5. The rate stated on line was…read more$156.75 per night . I noticed on the confirmation email that I had also been charged $58 for a cancellation insurance policy. I contacted Reservation Support to challenge this unauthorized fee who agreed to refund this charge. Evidently my reservation was then changed to a prepaid reservation at the time I challenged the objection to the cancellation policy charge since I typically do not reserve as a pre payment. I received an invoice by text on checkout that showed a total charge of $601. I requested a copy of the Guest Portfolio from the front desk which showed a total folio balance of $354. 26 inclusive of tax versus the $606 charge shown by text. The Support Reservation group part of the Hampden Inn has agreed to credit $120. Not close! This is a very basic Hampton Inn with limited breakfast and no additional services. A warning to future travelers tor consider other hotel accommodations in Sheridan, Wyoming!
