The noise level was loud when we got there as a guy was playing music and after he was done he was talking on the phone in speaker phone for the whole restaurant to hear otherwise it was a cool old ranch house with good food. I had given it a 2 star right after visit but during the night and the next 2 days I had food poisoning from the food so they lost a star if I could have given them 0 I would have bad experience.

Review Update:…read more Sadly, our last 3 pizzas were very mediocre. We kept going back hoping it was just a mistake only to be disappointed again. I can't justify going back unless something changes for the better. For years the Big Horn Pizza Mercantile Pizza has been our families go to for deliciously consistent pizza and something we have always counted on! One day we discovered the manager and the familiar faces were no longer there. Since the new manager took over several months ago nothing has been quite the same or tasted as good. - Not as fresh or flavorful - Crust changed - Sour and hard pineapple - Skimping on toppings and sauce - Much wider crust border That manager left a lot to be desired. If there was one thing she had been very consistent on is her excuses, apathy, and unapologetic attitude. She listened and shook her head and without apology insisted the pizza is exactly the same as it's always been. This is simply not true. The pizza since her running things is nothing special and certainly no better than Powder River Pizza. I just remembered there was an another time after we decided to take a break a long break from them... we had come down the mountain with friends late one evening and because of the time went ahead and stopped in for pizza. What a mistake. We spent money on brew while we waited. It took them over 1 hour to get 1of 2 pizzas on the table and somehow they forgot the other pizza. Our friends had to wait another 25 min. for their order. Hungry, tired, and regret of the situation. I wish the owner would take notice and go back to what this establishment had done for many years and what gave it such a great reputation. I sincerely hope they resume the previous way and make their customers happy again by going back to their original way of doing pizza. Back to when their pizza really was the best! And also, the previous manager was very pleasant, ran a good crew, and always made excellent pizza.

Our waitress greeted us and grabbed us drinks well we waited for the other two. We ordered the espresso martini, mango martini, key lime martini, smoky old fashion (came in a smoke box!) and a few coors lights. Our server read us the specials and we ordered the brussels' for an appetizer. It was a very large portion with peanuts in it. Very good flavor but was not a fan of the nuts. We ordered the coffee steak x2, meatloaf special, mac and cheese, cajun shrimp pasta and lobster ravioli. The Coffee steak was a large potion, perfectly cooked but not the best presentation. Shrimp was yummy in the cajun pasta but it was a bit spicy. The lobster ravioli was definitely salty but a good portion. Local recommended the mac and cheese telling us it would change our life's and it was definitely worth the hype! 10/10 recommend.

I was very surprised at the opulent decor, piano, dark wood and excellent lighting. The bar was full, with seats reserved, and I hated getting a high-top table for one, but the bartender convinced me to stay. He noted that if something opened up at the bar, he would be happy to move me over, but I ended up staying by the window, enjoying the evening snow and the light piano music. I asked for a toasted almond to start off the night, and I did not have to explain how to make it. The French onion soup was perfect for a chilly January evening, and the bartender's recommendations were spot on for the entree and wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or just for a quiet and relaxing evening. For all the decor and swank, it was not pretentious at all, and I felt very welcomed by all the staff.

So happy to learn that the new hotel being built next door will contain their new kitchen. We will make this a definite stop when we are in WY.

Despite Sheridan County's Polish population, I was surprised not to find a Polish bakery of any sort. Fortunately, someone recommended Olha's Market as a Ukrainian option which may have something similar. I walked in asking if they had pączki, and the staff simply served me pampushky without missing a beat, as if that's exactly what I'd asked for! It wasn't until later that I learned the Ukrainian name for these delicious fried dough treats. The pampushky were absolutely wonderful: light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. They reminded me of pączki but had their own unique character. The bakery case was full of beautiful pastries and breads that all looked delicious, and the restaurant side had an enticing menu of Ukrainian dishes. The service was warm and efficient, and it's clear this is a place run by people who genuinely care about their food and their heritage. They understood exactly what I was looking for, even if I didn't know the right word for it. Whether you're Ukrainian, Polish, or just someone who appreciates great Eastern European food, Olha's Market is worth a visit. I came in looking for something familiar and left with something even better: a new favorite spot and a little more knowledge about Ukrainian culture. My wife and I will definitely be back to try their pierogi and holubtsi for lunch, and we're curious to sample more of those baked goods! Slava Ukraini! Niech żyje Ukraina! Smacznego!
