Blue Water Drilling - Water Well in progress.

We went through a lot of discussions with Jose Estrada of Blue Water Drilling on whether to rehabilitate the old well or drill a new one. Jose went out of his way to educate us on all the possibilities based on the area geology, the recent history of wells in our area, the legal and technical complexities of the process, and strategies on how we might make those decisions. I have immense respect for his personal and professional integrity throughout that process. In the end, we decided to drill a new well, which went very smoothly. And we ended up with a very productive well that handles all our needs. Thank you, Jose.

Attention homeowners - Blue Water Drilling is absolutely the worst well driller in the Willamette…read moreValley by far. I urgue you to do your research before ever selecting this shoddy company do any work for you. If I could've selected negative stars to this review I certainly would have. We regretfully hired Dave back in 2012 to drill a well on our residential property. From day 1 we had very poor water quality but our issues weren't water-centric like some wells (iron, turbidity, nitrites, e.coli, etc.) The problem that we experienced was dirt and silt being pumped into our brand new house to the point where our home was inhabitable. I called Dave countless times and expressed to him that there was something wrong and he assured me that this is a normal occurrence and it will 'work itself out". He refused to actually come to my home and see these issues firsthand. We were forced to spend $6000 on a whole home water filtration system, which in hindsight I regret doing because as I said before, our issues are not water-centric. You simply cannot pump dirt and mud into a filtration system and expect it to filter endlessly without plugging. More calls to Dave were either ignored or we were given the smoke and mirrors routine that I would come to realize is very common with him. A few months later our well developed a sinkhole at the surface of the casing. Dave was forced to come out to my home at that point and inspect the problem. His solution was to dump a concrete slurry mixture in the hole and assured me that the problem was solved. It wasn't. A few months after that another hole developed and his solution was dumping more slurry in the hole. It happened two more times until finally the hole was roughly 6' in diameter and 10' deep and nearly swallowed my Tuff Shed. It was clear at this point that Dave was completely inept to resolve this issue so we were forced to involve the State of Oregon Water Resources Dept., which is the licensing agency for all the drillers in the state. They were furious to hear the ongoing issues that we've had because any time a well driller is required to perform "warranty" work they are required to notify the state. Dave was at my home on 4 occasions dumping slurry down sinkholes and never notified them even once. He has no problem lying or being deceitful at all so beware. They made Dave drill me a new well because mine had been compromised. If you can believe it, the 2nd well is even worse than the 1st. As you could imagine, he didn't agree with being forced to drill a new one, he was mad, pissy, rude, etc. and he absolutely couldn't care any less about quality workmanship while onsite. He went through the motions and left me with a nightmare. We certainly cannot drink our water, never have. Most days my wife doesn't shower at home but rather drives to close family's houses. Our appliances are ruined, our faucet screen are plugged constantly....you get the idea. Today we are still dealing with these issues after all these years. Our only option at this point is to drill another (3rd well in 5 years) by a reputable local contractor - I have done lots of research and Skyles is who we will be hiring. Sorry for such a lengthy review but I wanted to illustrate just how horrible this businessman is in an effort that he never has the ability to do this to other hardworking homeowners again.

    M&M Water Well Drilling

    M&M Water Well Drilling

WARNING : DO NOT HIRE M&M WELL DRILLING…read more I purchased a property in March 2021 that less than 6 months prior to the purchase had a well drilled on the property by M&M. The well, according to the well log, had a yield of 15 GPM at 320 ft. depth. Shortly after acquiring the property, I was informed by M&M that they failed to meet the state requirement for the area for casing depth. Consequently, M&M had to remove the 150' casing from the well and put in a new casing down to 220' depth. Upon completion of installing the new casing, I had a pump test performed. The well produced 12 GPM for about 15 minutes and then went completely dry. The prevailing speculation is that the actual water source was coming from just below the original casing, and when the new casing was installed to meet the state depth requirement, the water source was sealed off. When I informed M&M that the well was producing no water, the owner, Mike Merritt, told me he would work with me and make the situation right. What he came back to me with was a proposal to either extend the depth of the existing well or drill a new well, either way at a cost of fully 2.5 times what he originally charged the original land owner to drill the well in the first place. Similar problems were being experienced on the neighboring property's well that M&M also drilled. The supposed 15 GPM from that well, according to the original well log, was actually producing only 1.5 GPM, requiring a storage tank to be added to the system just to barely provide adequate water to the house, and not adequate for any significant landscaping irrigation. The conclusion is that M&M does not know what they are doing. They are very unreliable in performing the work, and do not stand behind their work when it goes wrong. I would strongly recommend steering clear of this well drilling company. Their website claims, "Well Drilling With Integrity!" Just below that claim is a box to click on to connect with M&M on Facebook. This link has been removed, and when I search for M&M on Facebook, they are no longer found. I cannot help but assume they were getting too much bad press on Facebook so they deleted their account.
