No they are not the original installers. we are very selective on who we allow to service and or replace anything in the house. We did a lot of research/shopping on the HVAC systems. They have come along way in the way of technology today. We started our research on looking for discounts and had 7 estimates. All but one tried up selling us what we didn't need, one wanted to relocate the system. All but one prices were ridiculously high. You know the old saying "You pay for what you get", if you are looking for discounts and cheaper prices just be careful. Kaleb was upfront with everything. He installed the system in one day. very hard worker indeed. We are very happy and happy with the service install and the price was very fair. My AC broke 3 days ago, so I called Casteel 3 days ago and they said the soonest they could come was today between 12-4. I sat in my 90 degree house for 4 hours and suddenly got a text from Casteel saying they were cancelling because I "didn't answer their call". Nobody called. My phone log does not show any call from them. I called immediately, begging them to come, and they said they could reschedule me in about 1-2 weeks. No apology, nothing. I started frantically calling other companies, and due to the heat wave, everybody is booked solid. I finally called Vortex and they said they could arrive in a matter of hours. He showed up and diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and had it completely fixed within another 10 minutes. He said that the broken part (capacitor) was something that should have been noticed on maintenance by Casteel. The capacitor was completely fried in the outside fan unit and replaced within 10 minutes by the awesome repair guy. Will only use Vortex from now on.
