Bartlett Heating & Cooling (Josh and trainee) came out today to give my system a check and tune up. They were on time and called ahead before getting here. Both were great to talk to and answered all my questions. They were in no hurry to get the job done, just normal work pace. I have the old R-22 Freon and they explained the current situation of R-22 no longer available so appears once it gets close to running out of my system I was so impressed by both of them today that I told Josh I will have Bartlett install my new system when the time comes. Kudos to Holly and the other phone operators for getting my appointment set up and getting me rescheduled sooner, and to Shannon and Mike. Buyer beware with Bartlett Heating & Cooling. I called Barlett Heating & Cooling to replace a condensate pump on a mini split system. When I called to schedule the appointment, I said, "Please go ahead and bring a new condensate pump. It needs to be replaced." Instead, they performed a "Level 2" service on the existing condensate pump. I guess the "2" in "Level 2" means two hours. Because that's about how long the pump worked after the technician left. That service call cost me $323.00. I called them back to schedule another service call and was expecting some sort of discount to replace the broken condensate pump (which is what I originally requested). When I asked for consideration to an additional $634.00 bill from Bartlett, the answer was an unapologetic "No discount." So $957 for a new condensate pump is a ripoff. read more

When we tried to turn on our furnace and had no heat we called Bartlett Heating & Cooling . We set up an appointment for the next day. Tommy was the technician who came to our house. The appointment was between 1pm-3pm. He called at 1:30pm to say he was on the way. Tommy was able to get our heat running within 10 minutes!!! He was back in the van by 2:30pm. Oh, he was 100% safety first too. Mask and gloves on arrival and shoe covers! They are local, family owned and always a pleasure to deal with. We recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work. read more

Person answering the phone was extremely polite and helpful. The tech who did the work was very knowledgeable and courteous. However the pricing (which I approved) was absolutely outrageous in retrospect after comparing to other companies. Bartlett, hands down, is the best heating and air company in Atlanta period. They have been servicing my house for a few years now and I could not ask for a better company. My technician Bo is the absolute BEST there is. He is so nice and does a great job each time. Everyone at the office is extremely pleasant to talk to. Every repair I've ever had has felt like the price was fair and TIMELY. I used Bartlett for over a year now. They've been pretty good. They have this 1-year service agreement you can be a part of. It's $150/year (at least the time I signed it), and they'll come out 2x a year to do regular maintenance on your units. Being on that service agreements also gives you some discount on bigger services. What type of maintenance do they do? They replace filters, refrigerants, check over parts, tighten coils, and whatever else they need to do to make sure your unit is running smoothly for the year. Is it worth $150? I guess so. I always forget to replace the filters anyway. I also had my HVAC unit replaced by them. They removed all the old equipment and installed new ones. They made sure they left my house clean and intact. I'm happy with their job so far. The people who come and do the jobs are friendly and courteous. I guess it depends on the technicians, their personality, and what kind of job they have. But for the most part, I had no problems with their technicians. Like all good home-service techs, they make sure they wear the shoe covers to not get your floors dirty. They also try to come at the time block you scheduled them for. If they promise they're coming sometime before 9AM and 10 AM. They will be there on that time in my experience. Also, they don't give you a ridiculous time block like the cable company where they say someone might be there between 9AM and 9PM. They've always been on time and gave a reasonable time block. They also call you before they arrive. So you can get ready for them. Whoever picks up the phone is also helpful and friendly. Overall, they seem like a good company. I recommend them. read more

I have another problem with Bartlett Heating and Air and had multiple problems with them diagnosing a problem I don't have and saying it needed to be fixed for $800 or more. The last time it happened about 8 mos ago, I decided NOT to fall for it again when the tech who came out said that my outside unit would freeze up if it got down to freezing and might make a replacement necessary! So, this week I called them for a spring Service per my maintenance contracts on both condos I own. I was told that I had been so much trouble they had canceled my contracts and wouldn't be servicing them again. No notice was given to me that this was the case. Shannon Bartlett got on the phone and told me that I was such a bad customer they no longer wanted my business! The only thing I remember doing was calling Shannon to ask if her tech was on a commission as he was constantly trying to upsell me on each visit. That made her really mad and I told her I was just asking because many HVAC companies do that to older people. We ended the call with saying the issue was resolved! AFTER this episode with them canceling my contracts without notice, I can say watch out for your wallet with BARTLETT HVAC! AND, IF YOU HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM, BEWARE THEY DONT LIKE QUESTIONS! MOVING ON, THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE GREAT AND READY TO PROVIDEVA HONEST AND RELIABLE SERVICE TO OLDER PEOPLE! ADDING TO MY REVIEW: SO NOW, I have found out that most of their diagnosis and repair recommendations were totally fake, I am going to look at suing these crooks! read more

We've been Bartlett customers for years and have always been impressed with the company and the quality of the products and services they sell, but it wasn't until a couple of years ago that we finally signed up for their maintenance agreement. Waiting so long was a mistake. The peace of mind we have when it gets really hot or really cold is indescribable: These maintenance checks are taken so seriously and so much time is spent and so many things taken apart and really truly evaluated (conditions are described in detail on the report and even numerical values associated with various component tests are recorded)! Everything about this company and each of its people just screams total professionalism and I truly feel good every time I write a check to Bartlett because it really is money tremendously well-spent! read more

We had 2 new HVAC units installed by Reliable Heating and Air 6 years ago and signed up for their maintenance plan. Our upstairs unit went out Thursday night, so I called Reliable to get someone out ASAP. I was told I'd have to wait until Monday. This was obviously unacceptable since it's over 90 degrees out. Friday morning, I called Bartlett and was told that they could have a technician out Friday night. The office staff was amazing. They even called before the office closed to let us know that the technician, would be out shortly. The tech came out and quickly diagnosed the problem and got it fixed. He also discovered that the previous company had installed the wrong size air conditioner filters. We immediately changed our maintenance plan over to Bartlett. The tech was wearing a mask, stayed socially distant, and wore shoe covers. The technician was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We're hoping he'll be the technician that comes out to service our AC units in the future. 5 stars!!!!! read more

I had spoken with several HVAC companies to replace my AC unit, and one day I saw the Bartlett truck pull into my next-door neighbor's driveway. Instant kismet! I made the call to Bartlett and the receptionist (Karen) was so helpful, friendly, courteous and respectful that she effectively closed the deal before I even spoke with a representative (Dusty) at my home. Bartlett is family owned, and I was impressed with the way in which they handle their business, like a super efficient track & field relay team - reception, to sales, to installation - each deftly handing the baton to the other. The AC unit was thoroughly explained to me so that I knew what to expect, in terms of installation and cost. I told Dusty I'd like to discuss everything with my wife who was out of town. No problem, no sales pressure. We scheduled the install within days, and the father/son crew led by Brent could not have been more professional and courteous. But I was most impressed by what happened after the install was completed, and the truck was ready to roll. Brent had walked me through the install. As he showed me the completed air handler, he noticed a small drop of water on the floor. He turned the truck off and got down on hands and knees to find the source of the leak. It took maybe 10 minutes to fix, but that move told me even more about the people at Bartlett than all the quality products they sell. It's about service, and pride in a job well done. I'm in with Bartlett for all future HVAC work. Bartlett also promised to give my neighbor a referral fee, which she clearly deserves. read more

We have been using Bartlett for 9 years when back in 2012 our ac broke in the middle of the night during a heatwave and they were the ONLY company that would send a technician. That technician was Jerry and he has been coming ever since then. It's nice to not have a different person every time like most businesses. Jerry has kept our ok'd unit running since 2012 until it finally but the dust due to that recent storm with the bad lightning (that fried our unit). We now have a new unit and appreciate them working on a Saturday to get it installed (Brent). Can't recommend Bartlett enough! read more

Can't say enough about these guys! Our AC broke down on a Friday afternoon in the middle of summer in Atlanta, which is pure misery. When I called to ask for a quote the man that answered the phone not only offered to stop by that afternoon to provide a quote but also offered to top off my unit with freeon (s) to get the unit up and running again...for free. So, after he got it up and running, which literally saved our weekend, we had a couple of the other local companies come out and provide quotes. We received several quotes from the other guys and were blown away by how much of a better deal they were going to provide for us. We decided to go with Bartlett and are so glad we did. Not only was the service and price worth every penny, but our AC bill has reduced by a very noticeable amount over the past 2 months. I decided to give them a try-and I'm so glad we did! Kaylee, the call center receptionist, bent over backwards to squeeze me in... Unbelievably, they came out the SAME day!!! I'm sure it's no fun to work overtime, but I can't tell you how much I appreciate their work ethic!!!! The price is fair and a lot less than I expected. Mitchell came out to service our HVAC/Heating units. We are brand new to Marietta - Georgia for that matter! The first local company we contacted could not "Fit us in" their schedule, from 2 months ago. So, we searched the Web and found Bartlett and I am SO GLAD we did! We ended up getting a regular spring service with some additional up front work that needed to be done. We also had additional work that we knew would have to be completed. Mitchell was very thorough, answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and was very helpful. He did a great job with our system. We decided to buy their service contract so we will now be "regulars." It includes 2 yearly service visits and discounts. The office staff is also GREAT and very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for an HVAC/Heating company I would recommend trying Bartlett. Their work is very good and their prices are in the ballpark. Just out of curiosity, I talked to another company (A-team) who quoted $40 to replace a capacitor. Hold on to your wallet. I had a fine working AC system I called for a summer start up. When they left my bill was over $900. Yes my water switch in my attic was pushed while putting Christmas decorations away. I have a yearly contract but I will not let them back in my house. I have been a home owner for over 30 years and never felt so ripped off by a company. My AC is working fine but a ton of stuff was done to raise my bill. Never Again. read more

We had our new A/C unit put in by you in 2017, we have kept you on contract since and have been so pleased with every aspect of your business and service. HOWEVER! I just had to write and give some feedback on our most recent visit. I must say that all your reps have been perfect but yesterday we called as it seemed the A/C was not performing up to par. Jerry was scheduled to come originally at 4PM and called about an hour before explaining that someone that was out of air had a big issue and he would be late. I said no problem do you want to come another time, NO he said I will be there. It was not very much after 4 and Jerry came after having a long day and gave us 110% , he spent so much time and tuned up our system and gave us some good advice as well. You are blessed to have a Tech like this man, he is exceptional and gave it all after what I am sure was a long hot day. It was about 6 and I told him I bet he was glad the day was over but this man had others to see and was on his way with a smile. If you ever need an A/C company this is the one! My furnace was not working over the weekend when it was very cold! I called Bartlett and they were able to have someone come that day. Because of my schedule, I rescheduled for Monday, which they were very amenable. Bo, the technician that came out, did a great job and fixed my furnace (which turned out to be a clogged filter) very quickly and at a very affordable price. He went over the different service plans they had and sent me an email detailing what they have to offer, which I really appreciated. Colossally ripped off last week! Simple refill of refrigerant ended up at $570. The tech didn't know which air unit went to which floor. That got us charged for checking 3 units instead of 1. Got 2 pounds of refrigerant for nearly $200 (actual cost is $85 for 25lbs). Paid $175 for a $20 capacitor. Was told we should replace the perfectly good contactor. Would have added nearly $200. Oh yeah and $29 for 4 covers for the refrigerant connectors presumably to keep me out! First time with Bartlett. Last time with Bartlett. Hey Bartlett, I bought my own 410a today, and got those idiotic covers off and bought another capacitor and contactor! All in, $125. read more
