Our hot water heater died in the evening and we found Dayco through Yelp. I filled out their form and got an email asking when I would like a free estimate - (ASAP!). It was a 20 year-old water heater and the tank had worn out - so when Tyler came the next day around noon, there wasn't much to diagnose. He explained all our options and gave us a good price for a very good replacement. We said 'go!' and we had a new heater in about four hours. He also explained a few mistakes the previous installer had made with some of the plumbing (the reserve tank was on the wrong side of the valve and the plastic tubes were too close to the exhaust valve, which could have melted them). Anyway, Tyler was awesome - very professional, very proficient, very personable, and able to explain everything to someone who's definitely not a plumber. Can't recommend Dayco (and Tyler!) highly enough. Will definitely be calling again if we need anything else in the future. read more

I've been with Dayco Systems for a few years now, and have nothing but great things to say about them. But, since I've already left them a glowing review on Google (and they only allow one review per company, per reviewer), I'm designating this Yelp review to one particular standout employee of Dayco Systems -- Project Engineer and Sales Consultant, Mr. Shaun Ansell. After meeting with the sales reps of two other HVAC companies regarding a new HVAC system for my home, I was left very unimpressed with their brief presentations, information, explanations, and their very obvious desire to quickly "close the deal." BUT, then came Dayco Systems' Shaun Ansell ... It didn't take me long to see that Shaun was the real deal -- a very warm, down-to-earth, easygoing, humble, unpretentious, people-person ... with a shared love and passion for animals! Then, in explaining everything about their HVAC systems -- the benefits, smooth operation, ease of using the thermostats, etc. -- he proved to be very knowledgeable, informative, professional, thorough, and patient in answering all of my questions. But, when Shaun asked me to walk him through my house so that he could take some measurements, determine the locations of my various vents, point out certain flaws in the construction of my home with regard to ventilation, etc., I was floored. Neither of the previous companies had even MENTIONED measurements, vents, or construction flaws, but were SOMEHOW ready, willing, and able to give me a quote, based on absolutely NOTHING. So, even after Shaun and I sat down again to discuss his findings, recommendations, and any questions that I had, he never said one word about selling me a system! It was I who initiated the conversation, by simply asking him how much it'll cost, and how soon his guys can install it. By then, I was just so completely sold on Shaun himself, the HVAC system, and on Dayco Systems as a whole, that I just decided to "break the ice" FOR him, which I could tell took him aback a little, but he appreciated it. So far, it's been a great investment for me, since day one. I mean, it's put up with all of my extreme ups-and-downs in temperature, turning it off and on whenever I feel like it, and has responded very rapidly to every scenario that I impose on it. But, just as importantly is the fact that, in true Shaun Ansell fashion, he has stuck with me LONG after the sale was made. Every time I've contacted him with a question or problem, he has promptly responded, and patiently guided me through each step in resolving it. After the routine maintenance visit yesterday, Dayco asked for a review. Because their service has been so good, I am writing it. Also, I realized I never left a review of the install experience, so providing one here, too. The tech, Jon V., was very thorough checking and tuning my systems yesterday. He had to adjust and optimize one of the components. Overall, a very good visit. Dayco systems installed my upstairs HVAC over two years ago. Sean in sales went beyond my expectations. He oversaw the installation done by Coy. He evaluated my system and scheduled them to install an additional return duct because we never seemed to get cool in the afternoon upstairs. He also inspected my ducts and found lots of leaks, which surprised me; the original install in 1986 was sloppy and poor. The insulation covered up the holes. For no extra charge, while they were installing the system, Sean went around and tried to seal as many leaks as possible. He could not get them all, so l followed up and got some more. The 80's built houses suffered some bad contractors. My previous system had an Aprilaire high efficiency filter which was replaced by a far, far better Honeywell cartridge filter. The Aprilaire filter was simply the worst, most expensive filter I have ever used. If you don't plug all the holes in the filter frame, lots of unfiltered air passes through. I have to tape up the frame every time I change the filter. It takes over an hour to change the filter myself. The Honeywell takes about 1 minute to change and is high efficiency particle filtration. Anyone can change it. What an improvement. The install went well. The upstairs is cool in August, now. I will hire Dayco when the downstairs unit quits. read more

It only happens during a heat wave! We've had a maintenance contract with Dayco for a few years now. We called Monday evening and they had Jon V. come out on Tuesday to fix the problem. The part wasn't in stock, but he got us up and running with some HVAC wizardry and came to complete the job this morning. He was very knowledgeable, patient and polite answering all our questions. Showed up Tuesday, July 11 to replace HVAC unit and haven't been heard from since to finish the job. Even other contractors expected them to be back. Left debris on floor and didn't even clean it up; busted HVAC door down and left door and torn frame leaning against wall in hallway with debris. One worker seemed "high." Left debris in elevator and hallways in building. Not a company to recommend. read more

Service tech was very professional and arrived on time. This is the 2nd time we used this company and have been happy with both service calls. I did find the menu based prices with different levels of expense associated with it a bit of a put off. I don't understand how someone could need repaired and it cost different amounts based on what they do. The price for repairing my AC ran between 500 and $1400. I'm not sure why they need a silver bronze, gold and platinum price for fixing something. I understand the need to use software for different services but it seems very much like a sales technique.. I would prefer old fashion, customer service, and a good repair job. Overall, I'm very happy with the company. Just don't like the pricing set up. read more

I initiated a process to purchase an A/C & gas furnace to replace my current system due to the Freon ban that goes into effect on 1/1/2020. I received two quotes as the process proceeded forward. All was cooperation until there remained only two questions to be answered: 1) can discounts be applied to an October installation and, 2) would they provide 3 positive personal references and 1 negative from willing actual customers. Days went past with repeated requests and no response. Today, I was informed that there would be no response to these questions and that Dayco withdrew from the process, in effect. At this point, they had the best price. What were they afraid of? It was reported to me that Reliable Heating And Air creates phony reviews. Do they do the same? Would real references expose deception? I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't take a chance on doing business with someone who is not willing to provide verifiable references. --- Rev. Our furnace kept blowing cold air. I made an appointment after reading recommendations on Nextdoor forum and the reviews on internet are nothing but good. I was able to get an appointment on the same day and the technician knows what he is doing. In less than 30 minutes, he fixed the problem and tested it to make sure the issue was resolved. Trane is under warranty. 9 months old and the reversing valve is a lemon. They won't put in a warranty claim for the part because I don't want to pay for their technicians. Dayco systems recently installed a brand new hvac unit. This afternoon it felt warm so I checked the thermostat and sure enough the ac wasn't working. I called Dayco and they were out within an hour or so to diagnosed the issue. It was my circuit breaker which wasn't part of the work they did however they still took care of it at no charge when they could have easily charged me $150-$200. Great to see a company that goes above and beyond what is necessary so I wanted to let people know. If you need hvac dayco systems is the way to go! read more

We had an air conditioning problem and we were really hot :( so we called Dayco and they were so nice and scheduled around our crazy schedule. I asked them to please call ahead when on way to make sure we could put the doggie up and just to make sure we were home. They did exactly as we asked. The guy who came said his name is Ryan, he was super sweet,knowledgeable, and really fast . We had cool air flowing in no time. He explained what he did and made sure we understood everything. There is a reason this top notch company does not advertise...they don't have to! Their happy customers refer them. We had several estimates and this company stood out above all the others. They are a family owned and operated company with exceptional customer service, reasonable prices, attention to detail and do thorough work. Phillip came by to retake measurements prior to the installation, since the previous representative who had submitted an estimate, was no longer with the company. He recommended a larger unit and additional upgrades at no additional cost! This was the only company we received a quote from that included a city inspection, free of charge, after the installation was complete. As a customer this gave me confidence that the installation was properly done. They are prompt and flexible. After completing the job, they cleaned up carefully and removed everything they brought in. A very big thank you goes to Jacob, Justin and the outstanding office staff. I have to hand it to Dayco... Service is phenomenal. Our condo building's heating and cooling system is unusual, so there's a lot of room for errors. I originally had Reliable Heating & Cooling come service our HVAC unit and they said all wiring was correct and our NEST thermostat was properly wired. (It wasn't) When the building serviced its central system, we lost all heating in our condo. A few people recommended Dayco, so I gave them a call to set up an appointment. The first time, the technician was stuck in traffic and running late, so I had to cancel the appointment in order to get to work. They rescheduled me a couple days later and Mike came out to figure out the problem. I have never met a more friendly and knowledgable technician--HVAC, car, etc.--in my life. Within 15-20 minutes, he explained the issue, resolved it, and stayed to make sure it was working properly. I will definitely be dumping the other guys and turning to Dayco for maintenance on the system. read more

Crawl space installation & removal of old unit was perfect . First 2 years of maintenance was free . 3rd year in Jan. I had to pay for a 1 year contract . I paid for another 1 year contract the following November . In October of 2016 , I month before the contract ran out , the unit stopped working . A tech came out & found the condenser pump to be the fault .It pumps water out from a condenser reservoir under the house . The pump looked like it had been in a swamp for the last 10 years . The tech took a long time cleaning the nasty pump & then reinstalled . Then much to my surprise handed me a bill for $140.00 ! OK I pay . The next day the unit stops working again .The tech that came out next I was familiar with . He replaced the pump under warranty & showed me t his bottle of pills that stops algae that he installs in the reservoir when he services units . So through the years I watched these tech use gauges to check the unit , change air filters & 1 even took the fan off my outside unit , sprayed it with acid & rinsed it with the garden hose . I can't get a little Clorox put in my condenser reservoir ? It cost me & Trane . Now they want me to renew my contract , I say they owe me a contract for the $140.00 . They think different . Remember , Nothing can stop your Trane but the maintenance man . read more
