I was called by the dog sitter around 4:00, who stated that my dog had escaped a couple of hours earlier and she couldn't find him. My kids and I rushed back to Sterling (we were in DC at the time) and spent the evening combing the neighborhood where he was lost and putting up flyers. It was a horrible, stressful evening. Thankfully, a stranger found him and called us the next morning (our number was on his tag). The dog sitter and the owner of the company helped us look for the dog and seemed truly sorry, especially the dog sitter whose home he escaped from. I know she felt badly, but still - he shouldn't have been able to escape from her back yard! He should have been on a leash, especially since he was new to her. Upon my request, they reimbursed me the $40 I gave the man who found him.

It's more convenient (and cheaper!) than boarding them, and our kitties are much happier. The sitters also scoop the litter boxes, play with the cats, and bring in our mail. We especially love our current sitter, Rachel. She leaves us detailed (and funny!) notes about her visits, and she even vacuumed the floor when the cats kicked litter out of the box, which was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely continue using their services!

She sent detailed updates and pictures every day, along with videos where I was able to see how excited my dogs were seeing her come in the door and just being around her...and that put me at such ease. I know they received so much love and attention in her care, and if she had a concern about anything, I would get immediately notified. My dogs have a complicated med schedule right now, and she took care of everything perfectly without any complaints. She was also an amazing houseguest, everything was in order when we returned, and she left us the most adorable "welcome home" card and gift. I 100% trust Nanke for any future overnight sitting needs. With regard to dog walks, Nanke definitely knows how to handle the big pullers!! I have two strong dogs and am so glad to have finally found one that feels confident walking them. I can tell safety the well-being and safety of my dogs is her priority whenever she's with them. She's extremely reliable, always comes on time for regularly scheduled walks, and has also been able to help with sporadic weekend walks when needed. Their services are also very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of care my dogs receive.
