Food was fabulous, for the most part. I had pasta with an outrageous Tuscan sauce with sausage. Wife had Nonna's salad. Both were huge portions and the salad was all fresh with huge mushrooms and quite delicious. Soup was to die for. One friend had a small pizza and loved it. Other friend had a pizza steak hoagie, definitely did not love it, thought it very skimpy on meat. Dining room could use a kick in the ambience and better quality napkins would help. Hopefully still a work in progress as they have some great food. Server was very nice but definitely not a pro. We do like to go to Arosso's, but the last time we were here, my husband had a bad reaction soon after we returned home. If you are celiac, you know what I mean. I'm wondering if areas previously off limits to gluten are getting contaminated. It would be very disappointing to not have them to go to anymore. There will be one mpore time, but if he gets sick, we will be done. Also- please get real calamari! the stuff you are serving now id not real! Cheap imitation. My friend & I decided to pop into Arosso after shopping. Since it was a BYOB we picked up a bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo & for our meal. Carly our server was awesome, she suggested pairing our wine with the Crostini & Italian Antipasto to start with both by far pleasing yet not too overwhelming. The rest of our meal consisted of the Gnocchi Pomodoro, Di Carini & the Eggplant Rollatini. The food was amazing, the portions were just right & as Carly suggested, enjoy it Italian by sharing a few of the menu items. Stopped tonight for a nice dinner, what my husband got was an expensive ribeye steak w/ nothing but fat on it, so chewy he couldn't eat it. Asked for it to be well done, came out rare, told the server, who was barely there, she took the steak back, and brought us the check, asked if the owner was gonna take a bit off of the bill , she said the owner never answered her. It will be the last time I go there . Would not recommend, as the owners obviously do not care about their patrons. read more

This was my first visit to Arosso. We had everything from a roast beef sandwich to the chicken special of the night. All of it was delicious! *****Buyer beware!!**** The special wasn't on the menu so I had no idea of the price. I did ask the waitress and she didn't know it so she said she would ask. I stopped her and said its ok. I'll just have it. MISTAKE!!!! I had no idea that a chicken and tortellini dish would cost $29.95!!!! I was for sure in sticker shock. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE PRICES SIMILAR TO THE OTHER CHICKEN DISHES. Meanwhile the most expensive seafood on the menu is only $25.00. So please ask the price on the specials!! Most of the reviews I've read for this place must be family and friends, because in reality I don't know how this place is open. Breakfast the other day in a very poorly done or should I say not done renovation. Duct work having and strung below the ceiling, holes in walls with vents popping through. Poorly executed and unfinished paint. All this in a Smokey, dirty atmosphere with high prices to boot. My omelet was poorly done missing key ingredients listed on menu. We had made the DISASTROUS mistake of eating there.....; the place is very dark and extremely dirty. if it wasn't for the fact we were so Hungary we would have left. At our table we had requested one Egg Plant Parm, One Chicken Parm and One Large Plain Pizza. The chicken parm was so bad it was inedible, the chicken was like rubber, the pasta was under cooked and the sauce was tasteless. The Egg Plant parm was disgusting and so rubbery it was inedible. Came here after shopping at the garden center and OMG ! The wings were delicious, nice and crispy and tender. The Margarita pizza was so delicious, crispy at the bottom, the sauce and everything freshly made. The ice tea is freshly made by the owner and it was amazing ! We've been numerous times and the food has always been delicious. We were somewhat hesitant on our first trip because the place was empty, but we went for it anyway after hearing how great their takeout was. We ordered apps and entrees. While we waited, the waiter brought out some rolls with a creamy dipping sauce. It was soo good! It was very garlic-y, but addictive. The wait for the apps wasn't long at all, but the wait for the entrees was a bit longer than expected however you do get salads or soup to keep you happy. That being said, they give you a lot of food...so much that you can barely even eat half. My favorite is the balsamic chicken with vegetables and my kids love their pizza. The pizza is thin crust and has always been fresh and tasty each time we've gotten it, even with take out. It's a nice place that reminds me a lot of Mamma Mia Trattoria. The wait staff has always been incredibly friendly and no request has ever been denied. It's a shame that more people don't try it out since the lot is always empty, but they seem to do quite a bit of takeout. Try it, you'll like it! We've already converted my parents. read more

My family has been patronizing Arosso's since they opened on Old Lincoln Hwy. We have always loved the food. However, tonight's appalling experience caused me to cancel my order & walk out the door never to return again. My wife works in the front lines of a nursing home where people are getting sick & dying doe to COVID-19. I decided on take-out tonight rather having us cook & clean. When I arrived, I found that neither of the 2 employees were social distancing and NOT WEARING MASKS which is required by law for staff & customers alike. I asked the apparent manager why he wasn't wearing a mask & his snarky response was that he doesn't believe in them and they are uncomfortable. I am a high risk individual, over 60, diabetic, a heart attack survivor who was recently diagnosed with cancer and I found his attitude completely unacceptable. I canceled my order on the spot and left. If mask wearing is optional for staff there, they sure can't be enforcing it on customers either. would anyone on good conscience order food there and bring it home to their family? You decide... After I left, I called an identical order into Yordano's II across the street and the staff was practicing social distancing while wearing masks & gloves for mutual protection. Ok We were there a few times. Nothing to write home about. In fact disappointing... We were there a couple weeks ago, I really wanted to try their gluten free steak sandwich. (BC I hadn't had a steak sandwich in a long time...) The roll was very dense and not that great. the steak was ok. However, I do believe I was glutened.... :-( Wouldn't go back again, also because there were also other reasons besides the food that grossed me out... The light bulbs over the tables were filthy :-/ and the floors sticky. Someone else remarked/reviewed about crab cakes w/little crab meat and lots of filler. and veggies not very appetizing. :-/ All in all even though it's difficult to find a restaurant that makes gluten free meals not worth the disappointment .... Then we moved on to seafood platter horrible real smelly bad taste ( I've seen better fish bait. Only had delivery, but it took 1 hr and 10 minutes jus to deliver a burger and mozerella sticks when my company is 5 minutes away. The delivery driver was rude and unkept. I actually really enjoyed this place. I do love the darker feel in the place. It felt comfortable to me. I'm usually not overly concerned with the look of a place though. The service was great. Greeted with a friendly smile, sat promptly, equipped with a wonderful server who wasn't pushy, and the dinner was decent. I ordered the Pescatore and my buddy ordered a stromboli. Love this place, food is great. Take out can be a bit of a wait as they get busy. While the red sauce is not my all time favorite everything else is pretty high on my list. They have excellent salads and their balsamic chicken is the best in the area. Specialty pizzas are great (love the BBQ and buffalo chicken) and their plain pie is one of the better in the area. I ordered another delivery, this time for dinner and they did not disappoint. The delivery was earlier than estimated which has been the case the 3 times I have ordered from them which pleases me so! The food always arrives hot and well packaged. This time I got the grilled salmon with creamy garlic sauce. Absolutely delicious! The balsamic dressing I got on my salad was fantastic and I am looking forward to ordering it again. The portion amount for every meal I have ordered has been subatantial. Friday night and the place is empty. Not sure if the server is new but she was terrible. With maybe 3 tables, she disappeared for a good half hour. Ordered online and received the wrong item. That wasn't as big of problem because they remade and delivered. When the order came the pasta was spilled all over the bag. The container was torn. Not only that but when my daughter was eating the meal a piece of some type of wire was in the meal. I'm very disappointed and would usually go there once a month with my girlfriend's for dinner but this ruined it for me. The meal was too expensive to be messed up by wire and delivered with pasta all over the bag. I did not call back to report this because the first time I called they weren't really apologetic.
