I just had the best Thai food since my last visit to Bangkok at Aroon Thai Kitchen! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the INCREDIBLE service--the staff here is so genuinely happy and helpful, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. The ambiance is also correct, with a simple clean interior including real wood furniture and relaxing jazz music. Their menu is a perfect blend of classic Thai dishes and unique soups that are just out of this world! You can really tell how much care and attention to detail goes into everything they serve. The flavors are spot on, and each bite is transporting. I would eventually like to see beer on the menu, but that's probably a tall order. I will absolutely be back and honestly, I'm going to have a hard time going anywhere else when I'm craving Thai food. Highly recommend! read more

Cute restaurant with all the mismatching chairs, tables and decoration. I liked the bamboo chopsticks but questioned whether they were one use only or whether they were reusable. I didn't anticipate receiving lemon water; I just thought it was water so it was a surprise! (I would've preferred water only given my selection of minimal spice in my food). I have limited experience with Thai food so I went with something on the menu that seemed "safer." I decided to get the boat noodles. It has a unique taste that I can't quite pinpoint. It's sweet yet salty, with a mixture of a spice like taste. I enjoyed the pork rind and the vermicelli noodles. I didn't like the handful of mint and wish that could be toned down a lot (or given as a side option) so I didn't have to pluck them out. I also wish the bean sprouts were cooked instead of raw. So... was it worth the $16.50? Probably not. The meat was good but there was veryyyyy little of it. And quite honestly, it wasn't as filling as I anticipated. I couldn't get myself to drink anymore of the broth as I would become too dehydrated. The amount of Chinese broccoli equated to the size of my hand. I could get more vermicelli noodles with pho instead for a better deal. Last but not least, I would like to commend the waiter, Golf, for his overly friendly service for the most part. Was craving Khao Soi and decided to this place. It was amazing!!! Will definitely be back. I got take out since they are closed 3-5pm. It was packed perfectly. Soft noodles, fried egg noodles, all the toppings of cilantro, lime, onions. Extra chili on the side. The person Golf who greeted me was so kind and told me that it's a mix of red curry and massaman (which is the most popular). I have been to the Aroon Thai Kitchen a few times now. And for the most part, it's been pretty good this time I ordered their Pad See Ew. And at most Thai restaurants, this is one of my favorite dishes. But the Aroon Thai Kitchen adds Romain lettuce to the dish. It was not Chinese broccoli it was not Thai basil. It was Romaine lettuce, which gives no flavor and it's just basically a filler for the dish, very disappointing. It wasn't just a bit either, there was QUITE A BIT in the dish. Happened to be in the area and found this great spot. This restaurant recently opened and is a small family operation. The restaurant decor is cute and eclectic with mis-matched tables and chairs. We decided to try the chicken pad thai and shrimp tom yum soup. We were not disappointed. The level three spice is a fair level three spice. They can provide a spice tray if you want more heat. They provide lemon water if it is too spicy. You can also wash down your meal with some thai tea. The tea is not your typical dark tea, but still very tasty. What we appreciate the most is how sweet and friendly the staff was. Each staff member checked on us and wanted to make sure we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We have been almost everywhere.... well she saw this GEM on yelp and here we are KABOOM!! the parking isn't great because it's a small shared lot for other businesses, so it can be a pain, The restaurant is like a little Cafe which u know whole in the walls are amazing. Service : perfect they are very attentive Food : is Delish the Tom Yum is phenomenal, som tum extra spicy Great, the Drunken noodle little bit bland .. but I think the soup was soooo flavorful it made everything more bland. Newly opened this month with a soft opening limited menu of familiar Thai curries, soups, and noodle dishes. There are also a few items I haven't heard of before like Boat Noodles and Kai Soi Chicken. I tried the Tom Yum soup and it was just the right amount of heat for me, which is not too spicy! You have the option of adding tofu, chicken, or shrimp (+$2) to the soups. Just enough portion to share with one other person. The pad Thai is sweet with plentiful portions. I recommend adding their chili sauce to the pad Thai for a bit of kick! The menu say they can't make anything under medium spice level for the curry so watch out, if you have a low spice tolerance! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Appears to be a family-run business. The decor is charming and eccentric with mismatched chairs throughout the dining area. Just dined here for the first time and loved it. It's a family restaurant that opened only two months ago but they really try to make authentic Thai food that is not Americanized. Pad thai wasn't as oily or saucy like most other Thai restaurants in Salt Lake. The noodle texture was also great. Same goes for Pad see ew which wasn't oily and had great slightly chewy texture to the noodle. I love this type of restaurants that cares about making authentic dishes instead of localizing everything to get more people in the door. They also make their own chili powder which was surprising to me and it tasted very spicy but also super good and fresh at the same time. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with huge smiles and were genuinely happy that we were there. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the food came out quickly, hot and fresh. My wife ordered the boat noodles and the spices with the basil made it extremely flavorful. It was an explosion of flavor. She got Thai spicy, so it was hot with a kick of heat but not overpowering. I got the yellow curry. It was very creamy, spicy and had a great flavor to it. Might be the best Thai food I've had in Salt Lake. The staff came to make sure we were pleased with the meal a few times and I appreciated their attentiveness. Will be back and recommend it to our friends and family. Traveling through on our way home to Idaho from Park city. Stopping here was probably the highlight of our trip. Phenomenal service. The flavors were very authentic to the original style of how Thai food should be. I ordered the Boat Noodle dish...my first time ever trying something like this and I enjoyed it. Reminded me of a more flavorful pho broth with a perfect array of veggies, meat and if requested spice. My son is a picky eater but the kitchen was able to make him a side of rice with fried tofu. This was some of the best Thai I've had in Utah. We ordered the Kao Soi and the Massaman curry. I don't recommend ordering both- They seemed to have the same base just different mix-ins. If I had to choose I'd probably order the Kao Soi. Loved the crunchy noodles and the flavor of the shallots and pickled greens. Added a nice depth of flavor. Service was also great.
