    Cute decor
    Maria M.

This had such a great rating and we were excited to try Thai food in the area. The service is very nice and the restaurant is clean with great decor. We ordered the pad thai, fried spring rolls, the massaman curry and the pad see ew. We also got the Thai tea and the pink milk. The food was underwhelming and didn't have the flavor of Thai food we are used to. The servings are large so you get a lot for the cost. My husband also asked for 5 level spice and it was barely spicy, he had to add a lot of extra pepper flakes. Overall, just ok for food. Great service though!

This is parang curry a bit of spice with creamy coconut! Jasmine rice so sweet and cooked perfectly

Curry is AMAZING! We got the massaman- thai spicy and the panang- medium. Both were very creamy and flavorful. Spices were on point!

FABULOUS SERVICE, DELICIOUS FOOD! Celiac friendly & helpful! We ordered Pad Thai & Yellow Curry - both gluten free options. Amazing! Our waiter & the entire staff were so kind to us & our daughter. They squeezed us in 30 minutes before closing & had our dinner out to us in a matter of minutes. Love it! We'll definitely be back.

Honestly this was such a surprise! Outstanding Thai food in Salt Lake with absolutely stellar service. My pad see ew was swimming in black pepper and too spicy for me to eat. The sweet waitress offered to have the dish remade and even brought me a complimentary strawberry milk. The interior was clean and comfortable. Don't skip a meal here, you won't regret it!

    Khoa soi with tofu
    Chanel H.

Best Khoa soi I have ever tasted! ! I tried this dish at a Michelin rated restaurant but this one blew it out of the park. It was absolutely delicious. The place was full when we arrived so I expected the kitchen to be backed up a bit but the food came out for each table pretty quick. The service is great, the two servers worked together and were friendly and helpful. Located in a small strip mall across the street from Hampton Inn Suites. Parking is a tight during dinner rush. Lots of vegetarian options!

This might be the best Thai meal I've ever had. Ever. The khao soi is UNREAL! It's so rich and flavorful and comforting. It combines two of my favorite Thai dishes - pad Thai and curry to make the most incredible dish. Service is always amazing here and it's a great place for a meal with friends or loved ones. Favorite Thai in salt lake!

    Kao Soi with Chicken Breast

One of the best Thai experiences I have had worldwide. I ordered the Kai soi and recommend this dish without any reservation. So flavorful. I ordered it with chicken. The flavors were incredible. My daughter ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and said it was the best dish she's had there yet! Staff were friendly and the spring rolls were plentiful as were our personal dishes. We had to take a box with leftovers. Definitely recommend this spot!

Lunch special, green curry, pad gra pow and steamed veggies
    Wallace W.

This nice little Thai restaurant is located in a strip mall off of 4500 south on the north side of the street. There were plenty of parking spots when I arrived at 11:30 but all were filling up by the time I left just after noon. The staff, two young folks, were friendly and accommodating. I decided to do a lunch special as the price seemed fair. I ordered a green curry with tofu, steamed vegetables and a chicken pad gra pow. The curry had good flavors and I used it to flavor the chicken which I thought was pretty lackluster in flavor. Not bad but not much there other than shredded chicken. The steamed veggies were nice too but didn't have any flavor beyond their own. So the curry sauce went a long way to flavor the other dishes. Not a bad place for lunch but I'd say just ok for the food as an overall impression. I'd go back but might try some different dishes next time.

    Lunch special
    Neelu Y.

Aroon Thai Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots. The prices are very reasonable, and they have a delicious selection. Last time, I tried their lunch special with Pad Ka Pow, Green Curry, and Jasmine Rice. Everything was great, but I really enjoyed the Pad Ka Pow! For just under $10 you really can't go wrong with the lunch special. My favorite dish is still their Khao Soi with chicken. It's absolutely delicious, and I have never had it at any other Thai restaurant. The portion is large, and I always end up packing some leftovers. They were pretty understaffed when we went for lunch last Friday. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes to be seated, and then we waited at least 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Even though they were very busy, I appreciate how kind and friendly the staff were. Also, parking is pretty limited since there aren't too many spots out front. A lot of cars were just parked along the curb. We ended up parking at the Fairfield.

Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) with beef

The atmosphere is great! Such an attentive the staff that truly wanted to ensure everything was the best. The food was great! Had the Pad Kee Mao and it was so good! If your looking for authentic, tasty Thai visit This unassuming place!

    Kai Soi with Chicken Thigh
    Elsie W.

I am so glad I finally got to try this place. It's been on my list for a while. I've never had Kai Soi but it looked so good from all the other pictures I thought why not. We got chicken thigh and boy was that the right choice. The chicken was super moist. Broth super flavorful. Will definitely order it again! We also got shrimp pad thai. The shrimp were well cooked but I felt that they didn't have much flavor to them. The noodles were delicious. Large portions. Great service. Can't wait to come back!

    Tom kha soup
    Rachel R.

Service was great. The presentation was beautiful. And the food was even better. We got the fresh summer rolls and the peanut butter sauce was probably the best dipping sauce I've ever had. The tom kha soup was delicious, although a bit on the sweeter side. The yellow curry and the pad Thai were some of the best I've ever had. Im looking forward to trying the rest of the menu in the future.

Food is always so good and consistent? The owners are the nicest people. My favorite is the fried spring rolls. They have good Thai curry.

What an incredible dish. The slight spice and abundant flavor in every bite makes me want to go back just for that. The Panang Curry was tasty and well done but it did have a slightly overpowering taste - we deemed this to be from the fish sauce. Still recommend, but not quite as smooth as other Panang Curry we have frequented. The Khao Ka Moo and Yum Woon Sen provided some variety in the typical Thai Dishes and they were phenomenal as I attempted to broaden my Thai cuisine palate. The variety of food choices gave off an authentic experience when paired with the traditional Southeast Asian decor found around the walls and ceiling. I sat near a wood panel divider that separated us from the front door and it provided exceptional separation from the happenings at the front of the store despite us being rather closing to the register and door. The service was slower than expected but the house was packed and our original server was sent home after a burn from the kitchen so they were understaffed on an absolutely crazy Valentines Day night. The Thai Smash Burger is also excellent -- bold, well-balanced flavors that really stand out. I've enjoyed the drunken noodles as well (great heat and savory depth), and the cucumber salad makes a refreshing side that balances the richer dishes. The food also comes out pretty quickly, which is always a plus. There were a couple of frustrations with this visit, though. They had flyers on the tables advertising their new Dino Ramen, and the flyer stated that you could get free ice cream with any Dino Ramen OR any other bowl of ramen. When we went to get the free ice cream, we were told the offer was only valid with the Dino Ramen and that the "any bowl of ramen" offer was only available at their other location. That was pretty confusing considering the flyer was sitting right on our table at this location. If the promotion is different depending on the location, they really need to make that clear on the flyer or not have those flyers out. Service was okay. The food came out quickly, but there wasn't much checking in afterward. We had to go out of our way to ask for things like refills or anything else we needed. Despite those issues, I really enjoy the ramen here, especially the Spicy Tonkotsu and hand pulled noodles, so I'll keep coming back. Disappointing Experience - Food Quality & Service…read more I've been to Mi La Cai Noodle House before, but unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I ordered the wonton soup, and the pork wontons did not taste right to me. I let the gentleman who was helping us know about the issue, and he told me, "Let me see with my manager what I can do for you." To be clear, I wasn't asking them to take the soup off my bill or give me anything for free. I simply wanted to see if they could provide a little more meat so I could finish my bowl. I thought that was a reasonable request, especially since I had already explained that the pork wontons didn't taste right. Unfortunately, the gentleman never came back to our table, and the manager never stopped by or spoke with us at all. We ended up paying the full bill, and no one even apologized or offered any kind of resolution. When the host later asked how everything was, I explained that the wonton soup wasn't as good as I expected. She simply said, "Oh, sorry." While I understand that mistakes happen, it felt like a very dismissive response, especially after we had already brought the issue to their attention. I honestly feel like the food quality at this restaurant has gone downhill. What disappointed me even more was the lack of customer service and follow-through. If a customer takes the time to politely bring up an issue, I would expect someone from management to at least come to the table and address it. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously because I used to have a much better impression of the food and service.
