Wife got one of their Alla Casa with chicken. She loved it the past and the creamy sauce. The chicken was well cooked. One thing she did wish she had was maybe a slice of lemon to add some acidity. I got their pepperoni pizza extra crispy. I've found that is the way to order it if you do not like floppy pizza. Just the right amount of cheese. From what we observed, there appeared to be only two employees trying to do everything--seat guests, take orders, wait tables, and manage other responsibilities. The restaurant seemed clearly understaffed, and while those employees appeared to be doing the best they could, there was very little communication or engagement with customers. It took 10 minutes just to be acknowledged and seated despite no one waiting, followed by another 10 minutes before a table was ready. Once seated, it took another 5-6 minutes to receive water, and after that we simply sat waiting, and waiting, and waiting. We noticed other customers experiencing similar delays, and after receiving little attention or explanation, we decided to leave. No one even came over to ask why. Hopefully this was just an off day for Mangiamo, because good food alone is not enough. Customer service, communication, and proper staffing matter. A simple acknowledgment or an honest explanation goes a long way. Management should ensure they have the resources and oversight necessary to provide the experience customers expect, because first impressions and service are every bit as important as the food.

Tonight was our first visit and the first thing I instantly noticed is that parking is scarce. Upon walking in, looking at the nice dining room along with the "elevator" piano music playing I felt that maybe I was underdressed. But as other patrons walked in we were all dressed on the same level. (Nice button down shirt with nice shorts) My 3 star review is based on new restaurant growing pains. The waitress was new, she didn't know the menu well enough when we asked questions. Once our food showed up, it was missing chicken, we didn't get refills as they had gotten busy, and the go-to box took forever to be delivered to the table. It was like once she messed up the first time...then it just kept getting worse. The other staff members seemed to be doing well as other staff stepped in to help assist once they saw us sitting there patiently waiting. The food was okay, pricing was so so for the quality and amount received. I'll revisit in a few months and hopefully we will see some improvements. I loved the sleek designs and the dark green accents. We were escorted to the upstairs dining room. It was cozy and quiet and boasted nice views of the Gulf. They have plenty of outside and inside seating options for groups of many sizes. I tried a glass a wine and my companion went with the winter old fashioned. For our entrees I had the pesto penne which was delectable and he had the lasagna which was delicious as well. The portions were perfect. Service was excellent. We wanted for nothing during our visit. I would say this is on the pricier end so we won't be coming regularly but it will be great for special occasions.
