Wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very date-night savvy. A little loud and tables close together but well decorated. They had several options available on the gluten sensitive menu. We had dined at Stalla in the past, but it was always just okay. However, it was one of the few dining options available on Tuesday night, so we decided to give it another go. It was surprisingly packed for a Tuesday, but the service was smooth. Everyone was kind and professional. I have to say that our server, Bobby,may have been the most accommodating, knowledgable and friendly server I've ever seen! He was also unfazed by the demanding table that was beside us and the bustle of the full restaurant. We got the stuffed mushrooms to start. They were absolutely amazing. I got a ribeye medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes on the side were heavenly! My husband got Spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was al dente but we both agreed the dish needed a little more seasoning/spice. This visit did change myind about Stalla. I really enjoyed Stalla! It's located in the Beau Rivage. The restaurant was quite busy on the day we visited, but we had a reservation and were seated quickly. We were seated closer to the kitchen, which put us farther from the casino, which I think created a nice atmosphere. We were served a complimentary bread basket with olive oil and balsamic. We made dinner reservations for the chefs table for a little more "action" it also just felt more private as we sit next to each other. The bread basket was diverse as were the little spreads they brought. We both ordered steak and they were prepared perfectly except I felt like mine was over seasoned. This restaurant was one of my favorite dining experiences this year. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. Starting with complimentary bread service I could've just eaten that all day long. Fresh tasting and we loved the accompanying roasted red pepper and garlic spreads. We chose the 3-course early bird summer menu. An excellent choice and more than enough food. I do hope they continue this but it did seem to be a temporary offer. I had the trout which had me craving more; crispy outer skin and perfectly seasoned. My partner had the hanger stank and that was flavorful and tender. My one note is that Italian wedding soup should contain either spinach or escarole. This was missing and could have given the soup more body. There were only 3 mini meatballs which felt a little sad. Dessert was tiramisu and it had a great presentation . This could've had more espresso but we still loved it. We ordered it with a cappuccino and that was absolutely perfect in flavor. We had a couple of cocktails, martini and Tito's and club. We skipped the appetizers even though they sounded good! We settled on the Roaster Sea Bass with lobster, roasted potatoes and asparagus. My husband ordered the fillet with creamed potatoes and asparagus. Additionally I wanted to try the rosemary polenta. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection!! Really tasty. The lobster was cooked well. The dish comes with roasted potatoes and asparagus. While it was good it really needed some additional flavor. It was a bit bland. But to be fair I couldn't have the cream sauce that comes with it. That may have made the wow difference. The polenta tasted nothing like rosemary. But did have sun-dried tomatoes (I think). Needed salt and seasoning. Meh The fillet was more rare than medium rare. Potatoes and asparagus accompanied the fillet. It was all ok. Seemed a bit bland. The tiramisu was really good. Overall it is a good experience. The ambiance is good! It wasn't too loud at all even though it was very busy. The staff is very very attentive!! I can't say enough good things about them!! Ordered a Caesar salad ($16 I believe) and the wagyu short rib ($52). The salad had way too much dressing on it, the top layer was fine but the bottom 2/3's of the salad had dressing caked on. It felt like they knew they put too much dressing on and then added a bit more romaine to the top of the salad before finishing it with cheese and tomato. It was sloppy. When the waiter came over he asked if I was finished, I expressed to him I couldn't eat it because it was drenched in dressing. His response was "I understand" and took it away, didn't seem to care or want to correct Onto the short rib, there was a pool of oil surrounding the risotto. The short rib was good but the risotto had so much oil around it, I ate a couple bites and left it. The complimentary bread was the highlight of the meal. Excellent service from the entire staff. We ordered several items from the appetizer selections, all were very good. We were near the kitchen, and witnessed the ample size of the portions in the expo window, so by the time we were ready to order entrées, we opted to split the Chicken Parm three ways! More than enough for all of us. Some of the best I've ever had. The young lady at the table next to us was celebrating her birthday. The server brought a cake out for her. The kitchen seemed totally disorganized. The head chef, when he was actually there, ruined any chance at ambience with his complaining, shouting at cooks, and cussing (he said "F**k! so loud, several diners were upset). The sous chef was merely adequate, but lacked a strong presence. The cooks worked very hard, but they were swamped by orders from 7:30-8:30. Our food took 35 minutes to cook, then it sat on the serving counter for another 10 miy, and by the time we got it my wife's pasta was inedible it was so cold. The quality wasn't there because things were so rushed in the kitchen. She sent it back and it was replaced acceptably. The servers were very efficient, but couldn't keep up with the prepared dishes. There were only two of them; three would have helped tremendously. My iced tea was lacking the "iced" part. My wife's wine was the "house Chardonnay" which was an inadequate Australian wine that coukd have veen replaced with a better California wine at a cheaper cost to the restaurant and consumer. The Chardonnay selection overall was worse than Olive Garden. They are in need of an efficiency expert to get the place organized. From having a reservation and still having to wait to ve seated to all of the problems mentioned about, this restaurant is mismanaged and needs an overhaul read more

Bobby is an excellent server and very nice dude! The GM stopped over to talk about my wife's celiac disease and gluten free options. They have a gluten free menu and dedicated area. The gluten free pasta was the best my wife has ever had and no bad reactions the next day. My regular meal, rigatoni and meatballs was excellent as my app, stuffed mushrooms. The food flavors or fantastic as always however folks portion size has decreased. It is a little loud depending on where you sit and where we said it was slightly loud. Not sure I would call it a "romantic ambiance" but it was a nicer hotel-style restaurant. If you get a seat for two near the entrance, be aware that you're in a pretty intimate proximity to the tables around you. You'll be served a bread bowl with olive oil, garlic hummus, and a cold tomato-based sauce -- all three are pretty good. The service was expedient and they have both a server and an assistant helping tables. I ordered the potato gnocchi, which has a tomato sauce. I've been here a few times over the past couple of years, and every time I wish I had gone someplace else. The food is decent, but that's it - just decent - and so boring. What's worse is how ridiculously overpriced it is. Service was good at least, but they use small glasses so they're constantly having to refill them. One upside here is they give you free bread, and lots of it. That should be a red flag that they are trying to fill you up because they know the lackluster entrees won't. I thought the bread was the best part of the meal, to be honest. We got a Caesar salad and it was good and even included some anchovies, but it was $12. That's way too much for a side salad. I had the fettucine chicken alfredo and it was bland. The chicken was tender and well cooked, but didn't have much seasoning. There was a decent bit of pasta, but the sauce was nothing special. It also wasn't well seasoned, and they didn't have salt and pepper on the table. Again, it was boring - and it cost $24. My wife ordered chicken marsala, which was $28, and it was a piece of chicken with some mushroom sauce and a small pile of pasta. She said it was good, but not $28 worth of good. If you have food comps from the casino it may be worth going, but if you're paying out of pocket, you'll get much more for your money at a locally owned place in Gulfport called Salute, or even just go to Olive Garden in nearby D'Iberville. read more

This was our first time at Stalla and honestly, i'd likely try again just to try something different but would not recommend based on what we tried this time. Pros: hostess and water/bread service were prompt and friendly, waiter could have used a smile. The focaccia was divine...absolutely melt in your mouth! Ambiance was good ... a little loud but it's in a casino so.... Cons: I am a marsala sauce fan and cannot resist it when I see it on a menu. Hence, I ordered the chicken marsala. The chicken was cooked to perfection!! There were no other marsala dishes on the menu...this is important because I honestly was not expecting the overwhelmingly predominant flavor in the marsala sauce to be beef base. This is an unnecessary shortcut and completely overwhelmed the sauce that should taste like marsala wine...not beef base on chicken. My date's lasagna was good but absolutely drowning in sauce. Then dessert. The tiramisu. The presentation was nice with the Stalla logo dusting on the top but that's where the nice ended. Very little espresso in their version and folks, the mascarpone is supposed to be airy and light so your mouth is not thickly coated and thick heavy cream. It was so heavy! We were trying to use a MGM Grand gift card and we were treated with kindness and respect. They said they had instant availability for two at the chef's table facing the kitchen. This could not have been, a more romantic and special experience. It was our first time to this restaurant in the Italian food was delicious. We are vegetarian and the eggplant Parmesan is a must. They split the dish as well as our salads and made us feel right at home. We will return to this restaurant again when in the area. This Italian restaurant is located in the Beau Rivage casino. It is has a great ambiance with the decor and open kitchen. We arrived early for a 9:30 p.m. reservation and were told it would likely be 9:35 p.m. before the table was ready. It was a few minutes late, but it wasn't a big deal. Our server was extremely efficient and friendly. We were immediately served warm bread with olive oil, hummus and a tomato sauce for dipping. The server asked if we'd like butter and brought that. The bread was very delicious. For our meal, we ordered the antipasti plate, calamari, Caprese salad, linguine with clams and lasagna. Most were pretty underwhelming. The antipasti is always my favorite item at an Italian restaurant, and this one was fine with a variety of meats, cheeses, olives and vegetables. I thought it was a little pricey ($25) for what you got. The Caprese salad's tomatoes were a little lacking in quality. They weren't very flavorful and had a poor texture. The calamari was OK but just seemed to be missing something in terms of flavor. My husband ate the clam linguine, and again, it just seemed to be slightly lacking in flavor and didn't have many clams. We each had a bite of lasagna and took the rest to go. It was pretty good but again just seemed to be missing something. I wanted this meal to be great, and I found it to be pretty mediocre. This is the high end Italian eatery a Beau Rivage Casino resort in Biloxi, Ms. Let me preface by saying I found it odd to tout on line that they have 9 eateries, but not mention that everyone of them has staggered days. It was quite meh. We made a reservation for the first seating at 4:30 pm, which was fine. We had tried to eat at the cafe, which is 24 hours but found that you needed a reservation there too, which didn't quite make any sense. We were seated and our waitstaff was delightful, the bread was delicious and I loved the olive oil, the hummus and the pepper tepenade that we were given, but not told anything about. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the beef tenderloin, which mom got well done, filleted. To say that the chicken I was served was a Huge portion is an understatement. It was a single breast, that was really plump, lightly fried (I'm guessing, there was so much sauce that the fried component was lost) cheese, and lots and lots of marinara sauce that was kind of bland. No salt or pepper on the table. The beef tenderloin was cooked well done, and was quite flavorful, for my mom liking it overcooked. But the taste was there. Stopped in for dinner one of the nights during a recent Biloxi trip, setup a reservation on line a couple of weeks out We were seated about 5 minutes after our early dinner reservations, the assistant waiter showed up quickly to take the drink order, and brought by the bread. I started with the calamari and then did the veal piccata. The calamari came out quick, light breading, a ramekin of marinara and one of a tartar sauce. The dish was cooked properly, the only small issue was a few pieces had too much salt for my pallet - in general, a very nice dish I would order again. The veal, a nice light breading, cooked well, I liked the quantity of capers, and the wine sauce complemented the meal very nicely. While staying at Beau Rivage we have ordered many times over the last year and have gone down to pick up the order. Suddenly, we called to order and they require one to physically go down and place the order and wait for it. The manager, Jordan, said, "unfortunately, we have to stick to our guns and not allow guests to place orders over the phone because about 50% of the people go not pick them up." He also said they have not allowed anyone to place an order over the phone in the last two months, then quickly revised that number to over a year?!?! We were just here a month ago and did just that. He said it must have slipped through along with the other times we have ordered over the phone. He also said it is standard across the industry to not allow patrons to place an order over the phone, which is absolutely not true. Since the orders are automatically charged to the room, none of this makes since. I also offered to pay by card over the phone, but Jordan the manager is not allowed to take payments over the phone either?!! Regarding the food, it is mediocre at the very best. The veal piccata is tough and flavorless. The garlic bread likewise. The only dish we get that has any flavor is the ravioli. The broccolini is beyond tough. I appreciated that they separated the entree for us on two plates. It tasted good, but sadly it was not hot. It was more lukewarm. We did not have reservations on the night that we visited and they offered us two seats at the chef's table. We loved watching the chefs cook meals and enjoyed the view of running a kitchen. We had bread with a tomato sauce, oil, and teaspoon of hummus. It was delicious. For the main I had chicken marsala and it was wonderful and delivered by the chef after we watched him prepare it. They seemed a bit crowded for my liking so I decided to pick up food and take to the room so I knew I wanted to order something that still be good to go. They have a somewhat small menu but everything sounded good. I know this sounds boring but I decided on spaghetti and meatballs. Dont judge me. Lol. Well let me tell you...DA BEST I have had to date. It was packaged well and some great bread was included. I had to stop myself from eating..the portion was large enough for 2 or for leftovers. I didnt want to leave it behind and my room didnt have a fridge...soo....ice in the sink and in it went. The next day when I got back home, my greedy a$$ could not wait to have it for dinner.
