Every aspect of our dining experience was spot on. The service was prompt, friendly, and very attentive. I had a shrimp and pasta dish that was fantastic, I also ordered the cheese bread appetizer. This is one of the restaurants in Beau Rivage casing and resort. We put in our reservation at 7 pm and the earliest spot available was at 9:15 pm. So we took it and went to do some gambling. When it was our time to be seated we checked in and only had a 5-minute wait for a table. When you only have 2 people at your party they like to cram you in along the wall with the other 2 party couples so the tables are close by. But we were seated by 2 very nice couples. Our waiter was awesome. The variety of bread and dips were good as well as our appetizer of the garlic parm cheese bread with a marinara sauce for dipping. My wife had the tiger shrimp with spinach and cheese manicotti which she loved. I had the lasagna bolognese and it was very good as well. To finish of the dinner with dessert was a very good choice of the vanilla cake with strawberries and hand dipped ricotta cheese topped with candied orange. Very moist and flavorful. Not sure what happened to Stallas. It has taken a sled ride downhill. Too many new chefs since the Italian chef left a year ago. Drinks were nice. I ordered a 2nd drink, it never arrived. Tomato Basil Soup was superb, that is if you like cold soup. Delicious but cold. Fettuccini with chicken was luke warm and the chicken was literally cold. Waitress offered to reheat it. Now for the other. Veal Picatta. I guess I got the child's portion first of all. So small was almost laughable. This "should be" a lemony with capers sauce. It wasn't lemony almost no capers and the Veal was small and a joke. And cold. We are/were regular every time visitor. Not anymore. Couldn't be more disappointed. read more

We have eaten there before and had high expectations for our meals. The atmosphere, warm bread and wai staff were amazing, unfortunately the food wasn't. The lasagna was just okay and the portion was smaller. My wife ordered Chicken Parmigiana. She didn't read the description, thinking it was traditional chicken parmigiana. Big mistake. It was so spicy that it numbed her mouth And burnt her throat. She sent it back asking for a milder sauce but when she tasted the 2nd one, it had the same amount of 3 alarm fire sauce. As a frequent visitor of Beau Rivage, I decided to give this place a shot. Reviews were good and menu looked tasty. My waitress made the experience a little concerning at the beginning and she made feel like I I shouldn't be eating dinner at 815pm. My speculation was that she was having a hard and long day. This was my second time dining at Stalla. This italian restaurant is located in the casino of the Beau Rivage hotel. We had 7:45pm reservations this past saturday and had a wonderful experience. They serve a delicious assortment of breads, my favorite was the focaccia with caramelized onions. They serve it with a hummus, olive oil and some sort of tomato sauce to dip the bread in. I love dips, so this was a treat! I wanted something simple so I went with the Spaghetti and Meatballs. The marinara sauce was very good and the meatballs were huge! The pasta was perfectly cooked as well. My husband ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, which he enjoyed. The servings were pretty large and we had leftovers. First, the two person dining is awful. You are literally having dinner with stranger because the tables are on top on each other. We ended up sitting on a high top in the bar area. We had just settle into our sits when a man behind us fell out of his chair, hit his head ( we thought he was dead), his chair came within inches of hit me because it flew out from under him. It was very scary but the staff & security let the guy leave without writing a report or even having him checked out. Once that was over we were able to order. The Wait staff was very slow. (Friendly but slow) The food was not good. My husband had veal fettuccine ( it was very thick & look nasty). I has the short ribs raviolis( it was drowning in sauce). I was a little confused on how to rate this experience. Cool vibe for a restaurant inside a casino. We sat on the "porch" which is pretty much half in the restaurant and half in the casino. It was sweet because I was able to watch the game and then run to the slot machine before my food arrived. I ordered the chicken Française. It was pretty solid, I wish it had a bit more of the lemon flavor but I can't complain. The noodles were noodles, so nothing to write home there. The veal was good, probably better than the chicken. Not a big fan of my veal topped with gravy but it did the job. I ordered a drink, a mule I believe. I'm a bit of a mule snob so I'll leave it at that. "I ordered a mule." So thinking about it, this meal unfortunately gets a 3-star. Nothing special, but no complaints if I were to eat here again. read more

Poor food and poor service. The manager was particularly and shockingly rude. I would NEVER classify this is Italian food. It is a poor imitation of Americanized Italian food which more appropriately could be described as cafeteria or ready made meal 'Italian' style. We've been fortunate to travel to Italy several times as well as eat at outstanding Italian restaurants all over the country, and this is by far one of the worst, especially at its price point. The only edible item is the ravioli. Do not order: the veal scaloppini (mediocre, not a true scaloppini preparation); the mozzarella and Parmesan garlic bread (tastes like cold Texas toast with a sprinkling of cheese on top); the broccolini (somehow both soggy and undercooked); the mashed potatoes (tastes like box flake prepared potatoes); or the caprese (freezing tomatoes with low quality bufala mozzarella). As for the ambiance, imagine gaudy rustic Italian - similar to a Cheesecake Factory but with lower lighting. You would think for a fine hotel they could manage to have an adequate Italian option. They seem to prioritize cheap pasta with flavorless sauces to make money. What a waste of time and money - we have tried this restaurant a few times as it receives good reviews and there are few good restaurants in this area but after this experience I do not plan on returning. read more

I was sore after running the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon a d didn't feel like leaving the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino for dinner. The buffet just didn't sound appealing to me. So, my husband I decided to check out Stalla for dinner. The restaurant opened for dinner at 5:30 p.m. but reservations are easily made online at www.beaurivage.com. We opted to eat early so reserved a table for 5:45. Easy peasy! When it was time to head downstairs, we stroll down. Hotel staff directed us to the restaurants which were on the other side of the casino. We were greeted promptly and taken to our table. The restaurant was upscale but yet relaxed. The kitchen was open for viewing in the backnwitj the bar up front and off to the side. We were greeted immediately by Nick, offered choice of water and brought fresh bread with dipping sauce including a roast red pepper sauce, hummus and herb & olive oil. Then Cassy, our primary server took our drink order and made recommendations. My husband ordered a Sicilian Lemonade and I ordered a glass of Cabernet Savgninon. After perusing the menu, I opted to order two appetizers as my main meal: carpaccio with a horseradish and lemon aioli and mussels in a spicy tomato broth. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin with mashed potato and steamed asparagus. The bread was so delicious, soft but yet with just the right amount of denseness. While the dipping sauce were all good, we prefer butter with our bread which our server brought us without delay. The butter was of good quality and combined with the bread was delicious. We sipped on our drinks as we people watched and awaited our food. My carpaccio and mussels arrived first. A couple of minutes later my husband's beef tenderloin arrived but instead of the mashed potato, the wrong side was included. His plate was immediately removed and taken back to the kitchen to be rectified. Meanwhile, my husband enjoyed some of my mussels. It was steamy hot and the tomato broth rich and thick and sweet. While it was not spicy, it was still very good. A few sprinkle of chili flakes would have added spiciness but not required for us to enjoy. Meanwhile, Nick brought us a second basket of fresh bread, great for dipping in the mussel broth. The beef tenderloin returned with the correct sides and my husband dove into the meal. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare. The meat was tender and delicious as I got to sample a nice chunk. I LOVE a good carpaccio and often try it whenever I see it on the menu. The carpaccio at Stalla was of medium size, served with 2 thin bread crisp wedges, a small pile of arugula strategically placed and sprinkled generously with capers and shaved Parmesan cheese. This carpaccio was excellent. When I needed more bread crisp, Cassy brought them with little prompting. I devoured it all!! Yum!! We were stuffed and ready to go back to our room to run our tummy. But before we left, my husband ordered a dessert to go, Tiramisu. I brought my glass of wine with me to our room. AND, they offered a military discount. We were staying at the Beau Rivage and just wanted to eat in house, so we went to Stalla. First note - most of the restaurants in the place are closed on Mondays, so Stalla is basically your only choice. Of course that means it was crowded. We put in to be seated and they said it would be about a 20 minute wait and took our phone number. We went to get a players card replaced. That was about a 30 minute process so we were a bit worried when we hadn't been called to be seated. When we returned, they said they don't call you, you're just supposed to check in... then what did you need our number for? Anyway, they still didn't have a table for us but could seat us by the kitchen. Fine. We were waited on quickly and our order was in. Ordered the calamari appetizer - best calamari I've had in some time. It was absolutely delicious. Then we ordered the Penne w/ vodka sauce and the capellini/shrimp scampi. The Penne was supposed to have had prosciutto - it did but it wasn't very much. The scampi was excellent. The food service took much too long; I know it was busy, but by the time we were seated the major rush was over. The chef was very nice though took care of us. In general, we enjoyed the restaurant and the meal. Some things could have been better, but we didn't leave disappointed. read more

Overall, it is a good dining experience there, but sometimes the food is inconsistent. The wait staff, the hostess and everyone engaged is always very friendly and eager to ensure that you have a good quality meal. We recently had to seafood, manicotti, the chicken, marsala, and a few side dishes that were good. Sometimes the food comes out at a tepid temperature. Tonight's ravioli special was a cheese ravioli in a brown butter sauce, I was not a fan of that one and sent that one back as I later found out, so did most people. I exchanged it for cheese ravioli and shrimp in a Diablo sauce. Crab cakes are chunks of crab and not just stuffing like most places. Mussels are in a huge bowl. Both could have easily been a meal. We ordered a Zabaglione for dessert since we've never heard of it before. It's an Italian dessert made with egg yolks, sugar, and a sweet wine mixed with berries. It was delicious. read more

I loved the atmosphere here! I also love the fact that it's in a casino. The restaurant is clean and staffed appropriately. The service was fast and accommodating. We did make a reservation because this place gets very busy all the time! It is also very small compared to other restaurants in the casino and they are doing renovations to change that currently. Now the food was hot and flavorful. I did expect better and was not impressed. The menu was limited and food not as seasoned as I would have liked. It did take a longer than expected time to arrive but it wasn't too long. The prices are not horrible. My husband enjoyed the food more than I did and I am glad we tried it and maybe I should give them another try but I probably won't. However the ambience here is amazing and this would be a great place for a small gathering and drinks! read more

This place is simply exceptional. The carpaccio screams of freshness with thin bright red slices of beef tenderloin with crisp greens and an excellent hard mozzarella cheese sliced generously on top. I remember with great fondness this amazing dish which accompanies many in its near perfection presentation. Other dishes are wonderful as well and not just the basics such as the lasagna. They had a rosemary stuffed fish that made my knees buckle because of its tasty glory. The bread, the oils, the hummus to join the meal is really just a cherry on top of the sundae. I'm bewildered that anyone would suggest this place is anything less than exceptional. However, I suspect some people use Olive Garden as a measuring stick, but I don't. I've been to dozens of high end Italian restaurants in many major cities and this one is perhaps my favorite. The Wynn/Encore in Las Vegas has "Sinatra" and it's awesome too. However, dinner for two at Sinatra easily will eclipse $400 and Stalla, the prices are far, far less but the quality is the same. I'm planning to go tonight because I'm thinking about all my previous meals that were marvelous! read more

Meh. It's funny, we eat here almost every time we come to the Beau Rivage. We use comp dollars so it's usually free, so I guess were getting what we paid for. Well the food isn't bad, it just isn't great either. Our local strip mall Italian restaurant serves better food. The staff is super friendly and they've put in some heavy duty Covid prevention, but the food is still lacking. We've come here for years now and I'm finally getting around to writing a review. I wish I could write a better one. I wasn't very hungry so I got the chicken Parmesan. Tons of food for the money, but I guess that's the problem. The chicken itself was pounded so thin and the breading so thick that it tasted like a freezer cutlet. It was fine but the the sauce isn't what I expect from an upscale Italian restaurant. My wife got the lobster ravioli which was good again just not exceptional. Had the same sauce on it as the chicken Parm; I would have expected something a little more refined. If I had a pick one thing on the menu that is really good for the price its their flatbread/pizza. That's up to the mark. We got that the last time we were here and it didn't disappoint. If we come back next time, will probably stick with a pizza. Otherwise this place is about average. read more

We stayed at the BR and decided to grab a crew dinner at Stalla. We had one main waitress and also a support waiter. They both were very friendly and did a good job. All of the food the group had was good. I had the Chicken Parm and Creamed Spinach. I couldn't believe how big the 2 chicken breast were when my plate arrived. They had good flavor, the only thing I would do differently is to ask for my cheese a golden brown. Make sure to get a reservation. read more

Stalla was very disappointing as an Italian restaurant even as it appeared to be first class and at the Beau. The calamari had to be sent back as it was just a bunch of small pieces and very salty. Pasta dishes are ok, but the rest is from Sysco. Best to search for a real Italian restaurant and skip Stalla. And they substituted the Louie Martini wine for the house brand . I caught them red handed. Waiter said...it's not me, it's them. The Binnon Steakhouse restaurant at Harrahs in Tunica is worse, I saw several diners send their small steaks back, I had the sea bass which was done perfectly. The food is absolutely incredible and they do offer a gluten free alternative to the pasta. From the appetizers, salad, desserts, and wine it is wonderful. I ordered the mushroom fettuccini which is to die for. If you order the spaghetti and meatballs consider upgrading it to the bolognese meat sauce is much heartier. The bread comes with hummus, a red pepper purée and olive oil all of which are the freshest and highest quality. their wait staff is consistent and you can tell they all work together and care about their customers. read more

Cozy Italian style restaurant located on the Beau Rivage casino floor. We were able to be seated on a Friday night at 9pm without a reservation. The ambience is very modern and romantic. A complimentary assortment of bread is served with butter as well as 3 different dipping sauces. To drink I had the Ruby red mule, which was like a Moscow Mule but with a grapefruit twist. Yum! For dinner I had the chicken parmesean. The price was decent, portion was huge, and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back when I need a break from the buffet. read more

Very good Italian restaurant inside the beau rivage! Everything I got was amazing. My bf and I got the mussels, chicken parmigiana and the bruschetta ! We got it to go and it was easy just go to the bar but if you do that on a weekend prepare to wait almost an hour for your food. It wasn't a problem I just went back to my room to wait. We got everything we ordered and went back to our room to enjoy our meal. The spicy mussels are sooo good like on my top list good. This restaurant is inside the Beau Rivage Resort in Gulfport Mississippi. The ambiance is very pretty. We didn't have reservations however there were seats available at the Chef's Counter facing the open kitchen. The ambiance def changed. We ordered soup of the day - creamy tomato. It was by far our best selection. The chicken Marsala was ok.. same as my calamari. Both portion sizes were generous with exception of side of spaghetti . The chopped salad was a disappointment.. very little of the items listed in the menu and was served without dressing. We observed many dishes coming out from the kitchen and they looked really good. The pizza too. Maybe we just made the wrong choices. Food was also quite pricey. read more
