In town on vacation and we found this place. It is a nice restaurant with a long bar upfront and restaurant in the back. There is also another bar room behind the front area. Parking was plenty. It was a Tuesday so it was quiet. We enjoyed the music as it was popular hits in jazz form. We liked seeing who could guess the song first. Staff was very friendly. The oysters were good as well as the lump crab soup. My husband had the toasted ravioli and liked the sauce so much he added the chicken parm dinner. He even remarked on how good the blue cheese dressing was for his salad. We will put this on the list to come back to for sure. read more

I don't usually order pasta out but I'm glad I did this time. The carbonara was creamy and loaded with pancetta, and the egg yolk brought it all together. Good portion size and came out hot. It's a bit loud inside but the energy was fun. Great place to come with friends and share plates. read more

Still just as delicious as the first time we went! Drink options are plentiful. So many martinis to choose from, it was hard to settle on just one! We started our meal with the spinach & artichoke dip. It comes served with fried bow tie pasta. It was delicious!!! We also got French bread served with our meal. It was pretty good, but one big suggestion is to not put so much seasoning on the outside and don't leave it under the broiler as long. The crust had a burnt flavor. I would instead suggest serving the bread not toasted and with the option to put on your own butter or to serve it with an olive oil with seasonings to dip the bread into. My daughter got the chicken Parmesan and she said it was good. I ordered the Veal Mattina; this has a delicious cream sauce with shrimp and crawfish. Very flavorful!!! My husband ordered the steak with the Mattina sauce. He is hard to please, especially when it comes to his steaks, and he was very impressed. We both loved the Mattina sauce. Beautiful gem. My friends and I absolutely love it here. It's been a staple in Biloxi as long as I can remember my first time visiting over 22 years ago! There is nothing not to love here. The owners are very sociable, kind and genuine. I think I've eaten everything on the menu, it's all wonderful, but I have 5 favorites. The martini's are great, especially the lemon drop martini. Great wine selection for paring with your entrée. The atmosphere and true jazz music and dim lighting make the best ambiance for any occasion, romantic or not, for a pleasant night out on a date, Anniversary or just going with a few friends on a Friday night for good drinks and delicious foods, like my friends and I do. We enjoyed this little gem, they were not that busy when we went. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was really good..I got the Daube Spaghetti and my wife got Chicken Ruffino. Mine was very tasty and well seasoned and my wife's need a little more seasoning but nothing to really cry over. My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day & we'll be back with my parents for my birthday dinner in a couple weeks!! The ambiance is perfect for first dates or 50th wedding anniversary it's incredible. The soft candle lighting, soft jazzy piano bar style music & its eloquent seating for 2 or 20 I highly recommend dining here. The service was exquisite. Our server was a pleasure; warm , knowledgeable & over the top attentiveness. This has to be the locals little delicious secret . I have no idea why anyone would dine at the nearby casinos or anywhere in the area instead of Jazzeppi's. The wrapped oyster appetizer is by far the most scrumptious oysters we've ever had . I'm from New Orleans & he's from Mobile so we know oysters & if you want them cooked it should be as Jazzeppi's does !! Bisque is phenomenal as was our pasta ! Last night (4/5/2023) my lady and I went to Jazzeppi's to celebrate a special occasion. We were quite disappointed! There was a distinct odor of cat urine and mildew in the dining room. We started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Bowtie Pasta. The dip was 'watery' and the fried Bowtie Pasta was soggy; not like the crispy fried pasta in the past. I ordered the dish shown above, the Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo. There were six shrimp, one very small crawfish tail and I could not detect any Lump Crabmeat as described on the menu. There was plenty of Alfredo Sauce. It seems that the quality has declined since our last visit. Perhaps our greatest disappointment came when we were leaving and no one thanked us for coming and invited us to come back. Never in my life have I been refused service for a Togo order. I have no idea what kind of crackheads they have working at their Togo station, but I have never heard of a restaurant being too busy to take a Togo order!! Our restaurants get packed with wait times of up to 45 minutes and we have never refused service to any customer. EVER!!! This is a complete lack of professionalism for businesses in this industry. The only thing I can take points off on is that they were short on a few items so I couldn't order them. They were out of the crab nuggets so the jumbo crab cocktail was out. And some types of pasta they were short of. Other than that, I give them high points. Granted the atmosphere feels dated. The mood lighting is a little too dark for my taste. Atmosphere: If you are looking for a Romantic Restaurant to pop the question, or just add a little romance of wine & dine in a romantic restaurant with excellent top notch Italian cusine and ***** Star Service, then Jazzeppi's is the place for you!! The best atmosphere I have experienced in a very long time. One of the yelpers on here mentioned this restaurant does not accept children diners; that is not correct! I phoned ahead of time and asked, I was informed they have private dining areas that can and will accommodate children of all ages. However, due to the romantic ambiance, and heavy restaurant traffic at peak dinner service on Friday & Saturday evenings, it is suggested to call ahead to see if the private dining is available for children. If the restaurant is booked on those peak nights, then they will have to turn down young diners. Our reservation was for a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. I was up front in booking my reservation and inquired about the yelper stating children are not accepted at this establishment; I was asked how many children and what are the ages of the children? I replied, one child age 5 and my reservation was booked in the private dining room immediately without hesitation. This restaurant DOES accommodate children of all ages during weekday nights, however, I suggest you phone ahead and are upfront regarding the children's ages and # of children in your party. We did take our five year old on a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm and we were graciously greeted and pleasantly accommodated. Having a private dining room all to ourselves was really nice! My 5 year old thought it was soooo cool! They do not offer a kid's menu, yet the portions were pleasantly sizeable and the meatballs & spagetti can easily accommodate two children. The yelpers were all correct in the pleasant atmosphere and adult ambiance. The waitstaff was top notch, better than the 5 star restaurants in New Orleans; better than Commander's Palace & Antoinne's, very courteous, pleasant and our water glass never ever went 1/2 full. My husband ordered Chicken Marsala, the chicken was very tender and juicy, you could cut it with a fork, the wine Marsala sauce with loaded mushrooms over angel hair pasta keeps your mouth watering for more! I ordered the Veal Mattina, Paneéd veal with shrimp, jumbo lump crabmeat, crawfish tails and artichoke hearts in a Chardonnay cream sauce, served over angel hair pasta, pricey but can I tell you....worth every penny. The portion was a bit large, the flavors explode in your mouth and was the best Italian dish I have ordered in my life. I strongly recommend this dish! My previous visit to this restaurant, I ordered the Lassagna, it was absolutely delicious; these days, the original Lassagna is no longer on the menu but Lassagna Florentine, Lassaga with Spinach, which I enjoy yet my son does not each spinach, which is why he ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs this time. For dessert, they offered a Tiramisu, Chocolate Cheescake & Regular Cheesecake, we opt for the Chocolate Cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious! A Chocolate Cheesecake that was fluffy like a mousse yet creamy like Cheesecake, best of both worlds, drizzled in chocolate sauce & strawberry sauce, topped with white chocolate & dark chocolate shavings, you must save room for this dessert! I signed up for yelp just to write this review!!! No Idea how this place got all these fantastic reviews. The worst restaurant I have ever been to. We're in no way food snobs - but this place was simply horrible. The food tastes like third tier packaged food service food. No one in our party finished their meals. The salad should have tipped us off; there was a massive pile of dressing completely obscuring the small salad below. The salad itself tasted awful - the tomato yucky. While the food was barely palateable, the prices implied something much better. Chicken Marsala was $21. And a filet was $60. (NOT a typo) One of my companions "veal" was garnished with a rotted lemon. It looked like a lemon rind with grey mucous inside. We're also pretty sure that it wasn't actually veal. It seemed that it was more likely a "pounded" stringy, tough piece of "yuck". There is a very popular bar inside the restaurant, and my guess is that the positive reviews we read before coming were heavily influenced by alcohol. We should have left the restaurant just based on the impression we got when we first walked in. But at that point it was only a "gut-feeling". - should have trusted my gut. The restaurant had a musty smell to it, mixed with cold smoke. yikes. the atmosphere was terrible & reminded me more of a strip club than of an $$$ restaurant. My lasagne was less than impressive. Certainly not a $20+ meal. So disappointing. Did not finish my meal because I simply lost my appetite. Credentials first. Grew up in NY. I have eaten at more than 200 Italian restaurants in too many states to even remember. Have eaten at many eateries in Little Italy in NYC as well is in Italy. I've also written the first ever Jewish-Cajun cookbook. Its 200 pages, its very good, and its for sale (hint). Now Jazzeppi's. This place is really good... like five star good. And I do not give five stars easily, especially on Italian, as most of the Italian places I've eaten at are average at best. Jazzeppi's excels - everywhere. Atmosphere, Decor, Ambience - Excellent. Clean, elegant, maybe a bit romantic. Service - excellent Food - House salad - fresh, imaginative Garlic rolls - a little bit of garlic. Perfection. Linguini with marinara - superior. A delicious marinara. Just the right flavor, not very spicy. A little bit sweet. Delicious. Veal Parm with angel hair - Oh fuck. I can still taste the perfection of the veal and sauce, although I have to say it was better over my linguini than it was on my friend's angel hair... We live in Atlanta and planned our wedding rehearsal here without getting a chance to try it prior. In our party of 30 it took over 2 hours for the food to arrive, it all came separate (I didn't get to eat with my fiancé), and multiple people never got food at all. While the serving staff was pleasant, management was rude and just made a bad situation worse. To make matters worse, many people later said they were served raw chicken and a number of people were sick the next day at the wedding. While we made the best of the weekend, this was definitely a huge mistake and I couldn't be paid to eat anything there again. read more
