Fine dining at its finest! Anthony's is a lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of BSL. The building is beautiful from the outside, in. I loved the sleek designs and the dark green accents. We were escorted to the upstairs dining room. It was cozy and quiet and boasted nice views of the Gulf. They have plenty of outside and inside seating options for groups of many sizes. I tried a glass a wine and my companion went with the winter old fashioned. For our entrees I had the pesto penne which was delectable and he had the lasagna which was delicious as well. The portions were perfect. Service was excellent. We wanted for nothing during our visit. I would say this is on the pricier end so we won't be coming regularly but it will be great for special occasions. read more

My husband and I were both so excited about d to hear about an Italian restaurant coming to the area. We had heard some really good things about Anthony's so we were both excited to try it for our 24 wedding anniversary dinner. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation and walked into a crowded but well decorated entrance. The hostess was less than super-friendly, she seemed a bit put off that she needed to look up a reservation and check to see if tables were ready. She sat us a a small 2-top at the entrance while she checked on our table. My husband had requested an upstairs outside table when he made the reservation. We waited about 15 minutes before they finally took us upstairs. They did not seat us where he requested, but put us at a very small bistro table against a wall across from the bar. It was fine, but not the ambiance he was hoping for. Food was just ok, my husband is a bit of a foodie so he was not impressed at all and actually disappointed in our meals. Cocktails were good and the Tiramisu for dessert was great. We decided that the next visit might just be for cocktails and dessert only... if we make it back. read more

Anthony's is a great local spot in Bay St. Louis with delicious italian scratch food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere once you're seated. The menu offers a really nice mix of coastal favorites and Southern comfort dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh and well-prepared. The bartenders deserve a special shoutout -- they are friendly, skilled, and the cocktails are absolute perfection. If you enjoy a well-crafted drink, the bar here is worth stopping in for on its own. However, the first interaction at the host stand could definitely be improved. The person managing the front (manager or host) tends to come across as not very friendly or accommodating, and that unfortunately sets a tone that doesn't match the vibe the rest of the team works hard to create. With a warmer welcome at the door, Anthony's could easily be a full 5-star experience. That said, once you're seated or at the bar -- the food, drinks, and service are excellent, and we will absolutely be back. read more

The food here was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was also quick, kind, and very attentive.. there seemed to be plenty of staff for the small number of guests, which made the experience smooth. The restaurant itself is very clean and absolutely beautiful inside, with a great atmosphere that feels both upscale and welcoming. The only downside was parking. There was an event nearby, and the restaurant didn't have any parking reserved for guests, so we had to walk about half a mile to get there. It's definitely on the pricey side, but the food quality made it worth it. My mojito was $16.. expensive, but really good! Overall, a great dining experience once we got inside. I'd definitely go back, but I hope they consider better parking options for guests in the future. read more

Wow, what a lovely dining experience! The knowledge and attentiveness of the staff was incredible. Our server guided us through our dining experience and everyone loved their dishes. Great restaurant with great food. We ordered bread as appetizers and two Sazeracs. Both were great. For dinner, we ordered two Cesar salads and the meatball appetizer. Caesar salad was delicious. Nothing like I have had before. Meatballs were good. Lots of cheese and tomato sauce. We would definitely come back. Not a no go but the tables are too small for all the food and drinks. Reservation made well in advance for a special occasion and given a tiny table with no option for improved seating. However, the service was impeccable with Geri (spelling)? as our waitress and the food was outstanding! The cocktails were done perfectly. Anthony's Ristorante in Bay St. Louis is an absolute gem. The atmosphere, service, and food are all five stars. Our waitress, Deleah was attentive, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations , she even knew every detail about the cocktails. I had the ossobuco, and my husband had the 8 ounce filet both were incredible. But the real star of the show was the lobster fried risotto. That was some next-level stuff. We were lucky to snag a table for two last minute, so definitely make reservations if you plan to go. It's so nice to have a new upscale restaurant in the Bay. We'll definitely be back! read more

Beautiful establishment. Underwhelmed at the dishes for the price...$30 pasta with no protein is high. Server was personable but missed the mark. Tried to order the pesto penne but they were out. Ordered a second round of drinks but waiter forgot to put it in. Never got an itemized bill at the end which was very odd. Biggest frustration was having a reservation for 5 ppl - had to wait 15 mins to be seated and then were sat at a table for 4. They brought extra dinnerware but we were crammed at the table. Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the drinks to the food were all top notch. I would say one of the top 5 Italian restaurants we have ever been to. The staff was professional and courteous. The food was presented well and they provided dishes served traditionally different. We will definitely come back to Bay St, Louis just to eat here again. We politely opened the door to Anthony's and asked if we could take a peep inside - curious - is it casual or fancy? atmosphere? etc The lady at the front responded with 'I can take a reservation.' Service was okay. Got the chicken piccata at around $30 it was another $14 to get it with pasta. The Rigatoni alla Vodka was around $36, can't remember exactly, looks like they forgot to add the crabmeat. Around the time our food was out the owner was walking around and stopped by to check on us, we mentioned the crabmeat and she got mad and was yelling about the cost of crabmeat. She really shouldn't be asking if she can't handle a negative comment. We were told about the amaretto cheesecake, but was more of a cake not cheesecake. I was disappointed with the acoustics. The piano was too loud to converse. We sat downstairs by the stairs and it sounded like someone was falling down the stairs. It was employees running up and down the stairs with food. I thought the Italian salad was one of the best salads I've had in a long time. The bread was delicious but I don't like paying for bread. We shared Veal Parmesan, but it's a huge piece of bone-in meat with a lot of fat and no pasta for $54. It wasn't even seasoned. We had to order pasta separately and wait for it. The pasta was good though. I had to send my drink back because it was lacking an important ingredient. It was fine once it came back correctly. The acoustics can't be fixed but hopefully the food will get better!!! read more

What a true blessing to Bay St. Louis !! I said it to bar listening to the piano player with a great glass of Pinot Grigio and decided to have dinner. Jesse was my server and she was absolutely amazing. Actually these entire staff was amazing as a team with amazing attitudes and professionalism. food is 5 stars, no doubt. The way that nepo baby runs the kitchen and speaks to people, this place won't last a year. He will run off all good workers and customers like he already has. We had dinner at Anthony's in the Bay last night and it was much better than our expectations. The restaurant itself was built out very nice. The service was excellent, and the food quality was very good. There was a number of negative things such as; the live music overpowers the entire restaurant, so if you are thinking of having a dinner conversation, it's almost impossible. Given that we sat in the back of the first floor, which was furthest from the lounge music and we still had to shout to one another, it is hard to understand the concept of the high volume. The lighting can be quite dim, so get out your mobile phone light. The pricing of dishes are over the top expensive for this venue. To give you an example, the starter size mussels (which were very good) was $30.00. Fresh mussels even retail from Whole Foods are $7.00 for a pound (20 to 25 mussels) Re: average $0.30 per mussel retail. This starter comes with only 8 mussels which is about $2.40 worth of product in a lovely sauce for $30.00. To me, only 8 mussels for $30.00 is beyond excessive. Some of the other items such as Lasagna at $32.00 and Mushroom Pasta at $28.00 (both of which were good) are still priced well beyond what you would pay at high end Italian restaurants in Covington (Del Porto) or New Orleans. As others have pointed out, even dinner bread is $8.00. The quality of the food was good, the wine list, and the cocktails are good, the service was excellent, but the music / ambiance was a spoiler, and the prices will be a struggle for this restaurant to become anything more than a very occassional destination for dinner. The value proposition when everything is considered is just not there. read more
