Very sad and disappointed!! My husband and I went here about three years ago for our anniversary. We actually stayed in Airbnb upstairs from the restaurant steak was phenomenal. Drinks were on point. We just went a couple weeks ago with some friends. Steak was ordered medium, came out super rare. We had to send it back. Drinks are OK ..appetizers not worth anything when the steaks came back out, zero seasoning.. so sad. They will not last very much longer. Servers were great! read more

Whiskey Prime - 4oz filet mignon and lamb chops - Steakhouses Near Me - Pass Christian, Mississippi

It's ok, it has a cute wood art decor on the inside and I like the open layout. The food was decent albeit a little bland and a bit pricey but decent not necessarily worth the price point in my opinion. I do think the service left a bit to be desired. After being seated and waiting for about 10 mins I had to ask for the menus. There were specials available but I was not told about them. I had to inquire about them after overhearing a different party being informed about the specials. One of the items I ordered was not prepared properly so it had to be sent back. I was left unattended for long periods of time, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. There was a Total of 5 patrons in the restaurant to include myself for most of my duration there so the inattentiveness seemed odd especially since the other patrons were receiving ample interaction. I honestly won't be back since the price point seemed a bit unjustifiably high and the service was lacking. This restaurant is apart of a hotel, it is technically not a stand alone restaurant. read more

This was our second time at Whiskey Prime and both times were on a Saturday. The food is decent but should be considering the cost. Our problem is with the service. The waitress on both occasions took our order relying on her memory instead of writing the order down and both times the orders were wrong. It's frustrating that a supposed higher-end restaurant can't get an order straight because they refuse to write down what was ordered. After we ate our meal we ordered dessert then closed out our tab. Once the tab was closed, all service was stopped. No refills on water or drinks at all. This is not how you should treat customers. read more

Went here a month ago for the first time. First thing I asked for when we were seated was a bourbon menu since the restaurant is called WHISKEY Prime. The server left to find it but didn't return. Instead another server came over inquiring if I was the one who asked for a bourbon menu. Almost felt like I was in trouble? Weird, but anyways, I said yes and was told they didn't have one but that I was more than welcome to get up and walk over to the bar to look at the bottles they did have (I was seated at a table with my wife). Pretty stupid to have the name whiskey in your name if there's no whiskey menu. Steak had ZERO seasoning. Waste of a good location to have this place sitting there. read more

We started off with crab cakes which was so full of crab the sauce was amazing. We got a 8oz filet cooked perfect and so tender. My husband order lamb chops was delicate, seasoned perfect and the sauce took it to a whole other level of goodness. Sara was amazing, she made it relaxing and not rushing us at all. Overall great experience. We will be back!! No pics because we were too busy eating the food. read more

Great food, service, and happy hour. Sarah was the best! Awesome live music, also. Must try!

Fantastic service and amazing food. Sarah the bartender is the best. Had steak and it was cooked to perfection

Great food and great service in an upscale, yet comfortable environment. We love the happy hour specials from 3-6 with 2 for 1 drinks. Come for the steak, but don't pass up the chopped salad, creamed spinach, or smoked tuna dip. read more

Whiskey Prime - Steakhouses Near Me - Pass Christian, Mississippi

As residents of the small, charming coastal community where this restaurant is located, this is a difficult but long-overdue review. Having owned and operated restaurants -- and as the current owner of a small business that provides fine dining experiences in private homes for charitable events -- I hope this review is received by those who care as constructive criticism. Over the past year or two, having spent more than $2,600 at this establishment, I have witnessed its slow decline since the departure of its executive chef. However, it was what my wife and I, and about 25 other guests experienced on the evening of September 28, while there to enjoy the musical talents of another local resident, that finally prompted me to write this review. On that evening, the manager shouted as loudly as she could for everyone present to be seated at a table and to be paying customers. I have never witnessed such inappropriate behavior in a restaurant in my life -- much less from a manager. Describing her as rude would be generous. Our group of friends, all local residents, often make up the majority of guests in the restaurant on Sundays, spending our own money to support local artists and the business. On other occasions, I have seen this same manager throw a chair to the floor at a high-top table just to clear a path between the bar and the dining area, and on several occasions berate employees on the line or out on the dining room floor all in ear shot of customers. Because it is usually just the two of us, my wife and I typically sit at the bar. On one occasion, we listened as the manager described the evening's special, a whole Branzino, to a visiting couple seated next to us as "weird and creepy" because, in her words, "the eyes stare back at you." She knew absolutely nothing about how the fish was prepared, only that she found it "weird." I could not believe what I heard, and the general manager, who was present at the time, did absolutely nothing. If you visit our beautiful community, there are many fantastic restaurants to choose from. As for me, my wife, and our group of loyal supporters of local musicians -- we will not be returning. C'est la vie! read more

Whiskey Prime - Happy hour! Cosmo and rusty nail! Highly recommend - Steakhouses Near Me - Pass Christian, Mississippi

We arrived with no reservation. We were greeted and seated immediately. Food was delicious. Highly recommended the black and blue appetizer. Cocktails really good. Great wine options. Steaks cooked to perfection. Terry was very personable. Took great care of us. Live music on Sundays was a nice but unexpected bonus. We are not really indoor music people because often too loud and feel like we can't have a conversation at the table without shouting, but this was a perfect addition to our night. Don't miss out on this place. read more

Amazing food and service, Terry was the best, try the lamb chops, best on The MS Coast

Always a great experience! Intimate dining room, low lighting, excellent service! It's one of the only places we clean our plates, not wanting to stop with the deliciousness. The filets are always cooked to requested perfection, and the sides are top notch. Our server was so sweet, and she also does wine tastings on Thursdays. We will definitely be coming back for that. read more

Manage your expectations before you come. If you're looking for more than a mid-level chain you won't be disappointed. Maybe. Looking for high level service, outstanding food, and a full menu. Best go to place "In the Pass" Prime dining at its finest. The food is fantastic and the staff makes you. Feel at home.

Whiskey Prime is one of the best restaurants on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the best restaurant in Pass Christian. One of the problems with the MS Gulf Coast is that it seems difficult for a fine dining restaurant to be successful unless it's in a Casino. There are some exceptions, but there I have seen several places come and go in the past few years. I don't see the allure of the casinos which means I almost never visit their restaurants. Lately I've found myself mostly cooking in, but every once in a while, I want a nice meal out. I've been to Whiskey Prime twice so far. Both experiences were exceptional. Located on the ground floor of the boutique style Hotel Whiskey, this restaurant is primarily a high end steakhouse. It is small so reservations are recommended. I called ahead both times, but only once was it what I would consider busy. The menu is A la carte, but reasonable when compared to other high end steakhouses. That is not to say that it is cheap, because it is not. But spending almost $50 for a sizable prime steak is less than you would spend at Ruth's or comparable casino steakhouse. Here are the items I have had, and strongly recommend: Lamb Lollipops - $13 - I cannot accurately describe to you how delicious these were. Despite being in a nice restaurant, I actually gnawed on the bones to try and get every last piece of lamb. I later had a dream about these lamb chops. Yes. They are that good. Prime Ribeye and Strip - $44-$48- I love both of these steaks, but I would get the strip over the ribeye if I went back. Both were cooked perfectly, served sizzling, and had that beautiful beef flavor that melted in your mouth. I prefer the rich flavor of a strip, but if you like ribeyes better, both are a solid choice. Sides - $7 I've had the truffle fries, mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes. All were good, but none stood out like the lamb or beef did to me. Kid's Menu - They don't have one. That caused a near riot when my kids read the menu. It all worked out since the staff were very accommodating and offered to make more kid friendly dishes. The kids ended up sticking with sides, salads and apps, but if you have kids you want to bring, don't be scared off. Like the food, service was exceptional both times I dined here. There wasn't a single thing I could find fault with. If you find yourself on the Gulf Coast and want a great meal, I think you'll like Whiskey Prime. read more

Not worth the price. Just came here to today - had to ask for salt, pepper, and steak sauce. Ordered a 4oz filet rare, definitely was cooked medium rare. Good quality meat but sooooo under seasoned. Had the Mac and cheese as a side and was honestly outback quality, so under seasoned and I barely ate half. Drinks were good but took so long I only got two. Also service was very slow. I almost went to the bar to grab a drink because our waitress took our order then never came back to us. So would not come back. They also sell a $20 bottle of Kendall Jackson for $60+ HAHA so don't recommend. read more

The restaurant vibe is very cool -- good music, lighting, bar area, and tables in two different areas. My server, Sara, gave me a great recommendation for dessert, and she was spot on! The mixed berry bread pudding was to die for! I will definitely be back! read more

Food was amazing! Best steak i've ever had! Make sure to ask for the bread! Service was also amazing!

We love Whiskey Prime, we come here every time we are in town! Love the crab claws, steak and lamb chops! Ask for Sarah!

We live in The Pass. Have been to WP twice in the last 2 weeks. Spent a lot of money here w out of town friends. The food is fantastic! The service is terrible! Simple as that. It is really a shame that the "absentee" owners don't seem to care. The place is getting a bad reputation amongst the locals for this exact reason. After the last 2 weeks, we would not recommend WP unless your patience level is very high. Not worth the wait time, disappointing service and high price tag. It really is a shame. read more

Appetizers to entrees to dessert it was delicious. The staff was friendly too. Lots of parking in the back.
