You can tell by the staff dress code and how the table placement they are going for an upscale vibe. The only problem with that is, on top of the nice white cotton tablecloth is a piece of white paper. Let's get to the bad. Spinach and artichoke dip. 1/10. Spinach tasted as if it came from a can. I could've gotten a better one from Sams or Costco. We ate the chips and the melted cheese on top and that was it. Macaroni and cheese. 6/10. It was good but not great. Stuffed mushrooms. 3/10. They are stuffed, battered, deep fried, and then covered in butter. Problem is that the menu says baked so we were not expecting them to be covered in fish fry. Also the fish fry was the only part of it that was seasoned. Also for the price you only got 3. For the same price you get 5 at Longhorn and 6 at Carrabba's. Fries: 0/10. They were not fully cooked. I don't mean: "I like mine crispy and those were soft" under cooked. I mean if they require 7 minutes in the fryer they were down for like 3-4 minutes tops. Side salad: 6/10. Basic side salad. Penne pasta w/ Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken: 3/10. The chicken was flavorful and had some char on it which I liked. The problem is, that was the only thing that was hot. When I moved my dish it felt cold. The pasta and sauce were barely warm. Did I bring any of this to the attention of the staff? No. When you screw up this many things to that level, you're probably not going to be able to correct it. Hopefully I can find another nice restaurant around. Looks like I may have to go to Slidell. My bill was a few cents short of $90. For that quality at that price I'm not going back even for a free meal.

Highly Recommend Bridget and Her Amazing Soups at the Wine Market!…read more If you haven't been to the Wine Market yet, do yourself a favor and go -- and when you do, make sure to see Bridget! She is not only welcoming and knowledgeable but the food she serves, especially the soups, is next-level delicious. Every single soup I've tried has been a hit -- absolutely flavorful and comforting, with the crawfish pepper jack being a standout favorite. It's rich, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. The chef at this location is clearly talented -- the steaks are amazing, and I honestly don't think I've had a single item I didn't love. Whether it's red beans, fish specials, or her daily creations, everything has been consistently delicious. Bottom line: don't sleep on Bridget's soups. Go often, try the specials, and let her take care of you -- you won't regret it!

It feels really clean, safe and family friendly. Even on 4th of July weekend, because only guests can use it, the waterpark wasn't packed at all. We would stay again just for the private waterpark! With that said, the food was not good at all. The breakfast at the Oasis grill was okay! But overall food here is sooo overpriced and not worth it. The second day we ended up doing a grocery run and packing lunches. Bonus is that they let us bring in food/drinks into the pool area. So overall we LOVE this resort as a hotel with an amazing pool but will not eat at the restaurants lol Good thing there are lots of restaurants around it, Waffle House, fine dining etc, and grocery stores also.
