big cafe with a lot to choose from ranging from full plates to just bakery items. Placed a takeout order and waited about 20 minutes, not bad. Food was pretty good but i have had better quality pastries, maybe it was late so they don't keep making batches. The bakery has very pretty decor and it was pretty busy for being a late afternoon. Would want to come again in the morning to see if pastries change!

This is still one of my regular morning stops. Giant egg and cheese croissant with a coffee was about $7.50 and was pretty good. The one with ham is even better. Ive also enjoyed an egg arepa and chicken empanada recently. They've added a kiosk to order but it doesn't have all the menu items.

Visited Aroma Café with my cousins and had a great time enjoying some delicious Colombian flavors. We ordered the bandeja paisa, which was hearty and full of flavor -- definitely a great choice if you're hungry! For drinks, we had the Lulu juice, horchata, and maracuyá -- all super refreshing and delicious. We also had the chicken empanadas, which were crispy and well-seasoned. The salsa they come with is tasty, but the portion was a bit small in my opinion -- a little more would've made it perfect. For dessert, we tried Brazo de reina -- soft, warm, and a lovely way to end the meal. Overall, a cozy and welcoming spot with authentic dishes. Would definitely come back for more!

The servers were super helpful and friendly and the place was bigger than it looks but it was cozy. I wanted to try everything but the cashier suggested the dish i had, although, I don't remember the name, but remembered the rice, beans, sausage, grilled steak, were delicious. I'm not a fan of blood which was included, it was edible and good because I mashed into the beans which creamy, chunky, and packed with flavors. The chicharron could have been cripier but it was still delicious. I would definitely order it again when I have two other people to eat it with me. I ordered two different types of fried stuffed dough were super tasty, which crispy, soft; and super delicious!

The food was so good that I'm currently still sitting in the restaurant while writing this review. Brought my boyfriend here to experience a taste of home (he gave the food 4.5 stars). The food was flavorful and made to order. We also grabbed a few pastries to go (haven't tried them yet). Not sure why they have a low rating, but I felt like the staff was friendly and attentive. We can and a Sunday evening and found a table very easily. Spanish music playing, great vibe and we'll be back!

I ordered through a third party for delivery and this rating is for the food I received. I ordered a baleada which is like a quesadilla filled with egg, avocado, cheese, and steak - Colombian style. It is delicious and wasn't able to snap a photo before I indulged. Also ordered the orange juice. It was not sealed for delivery so it could have easily been spilled but looks like it made it safely. It is fresh squeezed and I look forward to this drink especially with so much going around during the winter months

I travel to the DC area every once in a while for work and I usually take the opportunity to eat at places where I regularly don't have access to while I'm at home. Well this Colombian food was so good. The Bandeja Paisa is a hefty serving of anything that you would like. Absolutely loved it and the ambiance is perfect for everyone. Enough seating for a whole family or just yourself.

I stopped by here on a whim. Once inside, I wasn't sure what I had stumbled upon. Then I saw the display cases with delicately arranged treats and breads and I was immediately intrigued. The lady was so nice and patient. She explained what some of the breads were and what they were filled with and encouraged me to try. So I did! I got six different breads and meat turnovers. I was trying to save my most recent discovery, I ended up eating one on the way home, and ate another cheese bread before going to the gym, and another one as a post-dinner snack. Needless to say, the first three were amazing. I gues I'll eat the other three tomorrow! I know they will be good. The restaurant also serves meals and Colombian dishes. I plan to go back for coffee and dessert. Really impressed.

I've never had Columbian food before so I didn't know what to expect! The line was long but moved quickly and the food was delicious. Never having Columbian food before it seemed pretty authentic.

This place is such a hidden gem but not really because everyone has either heard of it or seen it. Just try them! Went with some family and I have gone before for their coffee and bread but this time we actually sat. I thought everything was filling, as far as it goes for entrees. I had the steak sandwich, simple but I'd order it again. The other two guest had the bandera paisa. I got to try their meets and it was all cooked to perfection. They were Columbian and weren't fully impressed on their plate size but I mean they crushed haha I wanted to save the empanadas for last, a true delight! I still have dreams about them to this day. They are kinda small for the price but if I'm balling that day, I'll give them all my money for just the empanadas.

If you're craving your favorite home style Colombian dishes and baked goods, Aroma Cafe should be on your list! Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the main dining area is casual, clean and comfortable. You'll find several TVs at good volume if an important fútbol match is taking place.... fútbol is life! The lomo saltado and carne asada were pretty good - my lunch date said the lomo was a highlight. I brought home some beef empanadas and arepas de choclo - looking forward to having these soon. The maracuyá (passion fruit) juice was especially soothing on this very hot 97° northern Virginia day!

Comida Colombiana y súper deliciosa! Colombian food that's super delicious! It tastes homemade and always hits the spot! We don't live in the area but when in VA and anywhere within 20 minutes I make it a point to call in advance and order to-go! No regrets and perfect timing. Over the phone I ordered 2 empanadas chicken, 2 empanadas beef, 2 buñuelos, 1 bandeja paisa and 1 arepa de chicharrón... ufff que rico! So, so good. When we arrived I couldn't help but grab a fresh juice. I chose Lulu and also added a pandebono and a Hawaiian pan.. it had ham, cheese and pineapple holly deliciousness. You just have to try it! Inside there are plenty of tables. They are busy so ordering in advance if your in a rush is a good idea and everyone there is always really helpful and nice. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Super friendly and great ambiance and food will definitely go back. We ordered a variety of things I forget but highly recommend

The fish I ordered so good. This item wasn't on the menu but the server told me it was new.

The service was excellent and accommodating. I was impressed because I know large groups can be difficult to wait on, so was very pleased with the service and how quick they were to get our orders in and us served. We ordered a variety of appetizers, such as the the empanadas, calamari, and garlic shrimp. My favorite items were the empanadas and calamari, which were extra tasty with the accompanying sauces. We also ordered a variety of grilled meats, including the two large Parrillada meat platters and picanha . The accompanying sides we tried were the fries, cheese rice, fried yucca, and plantains. I really liked the plantains, but the cheese rice was not was I expected. It was more like grits than cheesy rice. The meats were cooked to how we requested it, and of course tastes especially good with the sauces. My favorite cuts were the strip steak, beef rib, and picanha. I didn't really care for the sweet breads, but that is a personal preference. Value wise, the Parrillada platters could easily feed 4 - 5 people, so we had plenty of leftovers. I would definitely recommend checking out La Estancia if you enjoy grilled meats!

They were not very busy when we arrived but remained attentive during our entire visit. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. We got a parrillada mixta, which means mixed grilled meats. It was superb! My husband had a cup of coffee, which was also good. Usually, restaurants go for generic coffee, and it's always overcooked. This was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated, music is playing, and there is a bar. It would be a great hang-out spot.
