Sunday night hostess was terrible at her job ! Give the girl some training for gods sake! We came from Phoenix Arizona to have an Arni's Pizza! Latasha was a pleasant waitress !The pizza was good but many people were returning their food and Latasha was working her butt off returning kitchen mistakes and apologizing ! The servers here are excellent. As over a fifty year patron of Arni's it pains me to give this commentary. Arni's Junior Salad with Roquefort dressing was always a must. But now the dressing has been different for a long long time, the turkey is more of a paste than a meat (yuk). The pizzas used to be covered with sausage or pepperoni., now it's just a sprinkle. Was visiting from out-of-state, and grew up eating Arni's pizza! Had such anticipation of having the same pizza that I remembered! This was nothing close at all! The breadsticks arrived at the table, cold, and the nacho cheese sauce was burnt. I asked the waitress if we could please have a new sauce as this one was burnt. She said I am sorry about that. I will bring you fresh nacho sauce. She delivered three sauces that were hot and said these are fresh sauces. They too were completely burnt tasting. Flagged her down and advised her that this sauce was completely burnt as well. I asked her to smell or taste the unopened nacho sauce so that she would not think I was being unreasonable. She brought back new sauce for a third time and we tasted it. It was better color and believe it or not was not burnt tasting. We asked if we could please have a refill of the breadsticks since they were all cold. We not only got unburned cheese sauce, but freshly baked breadsticks. It's a shame that this wasn't done originally!!!!! Now they brought the pizza out. One pizza was the buffalo chicken, I asked where the celery was and they informed us that this particular location doesn't do the same recipe as the market Square location. I ordered a small 7 inch pepperoni pizza and it was brought out on a plate and just did not have the crunch taste that Arni's is known for!! I have to say that the waitress tried her best, and was very kind and obviously very frustrated as well. I hope that the owners see this review and make some changes as Arni's has a name and reputation known throughout the Lafayette community! I have not been eating at Arni's for awhile now, I have had issues at market square and at the park, so I thought since I was out by the 350 restaurant I would order something there and hope there is nothing wrong, obviously the entire Arni's chain is having quality control issues, I ordered a Stromboli with no onions and a Texas BBQ with no onions, got to the restaurant and walked up to the counter and told the guy at the counter what I ordered and the name it was under, first of all, whenever you used to call a order in at Arni's they would say 10 minutes regardless of what it is but now they usually say twenty minutes no matter what Arni's you call but other then that I got my order and should have known there was something not right when they gave me portion cups of sauce, I just assumed they were giving a portion cup of whatever sauce is on your sandwich in case you wanted more then the standard amount and I thought with that logic I got a tomato sauce and a BBQ sauce because I ordered a Stromboli and a texas BBQ so I didn't pay much attention to the sauce because I am good with the standard amount, so the first thing I did when I got home was open up the Stromboli and first thing I saw was onions which I ordered without so I picked off the onions and proceeded to eat the Stromboli and saved what I thought was a half of Texas BBQ to eat it next day, next day comes and I opened up the Texas BBQ and to my surprise it wasn't a Texas BBQ it was a Arni's sub, with onions, so after I told the guy at counter who I was and what I ordered I got what was either the a completely wrong order or more likely someone elses order which must have been a Stromboli and a Sub with extra sauce on the side, either the person on the phone messed up my order, but doesn't excuse the guy at the counter for messing up my order, I am writing this in hopes that the ownership will take control of these issues and fix the quality and staffing issues but after all my scathing reviews I just keep getting disappointed in one of the most iconic restaurants Lafayette has had over the years, very sad........ read more

My second time eating here! Both times were amazing! I'm really basic when it comes to food. So trying they're BBQ Chicken pizza was out of my comfort zone, but glad I risked the bite! We had lunch at Arni's Market Square after a funeral. Arni's staff went above and beyond for us! They were very accommodating to our large (and somewhat chaotic) family, and were very gracious about making room for us to all sit together. I had a carry out order. The place was very busy for a Tuesday night. I got a 10 inch pizza and breadsticks. It was just over $13. The prices are good but the pizza is just ok. I would recommend you pass on the breadsticks. They are similar to Olive Garden- out of a bag and the cheese is bland. My pizza could have been cooked a minute longer. Not a good experience. Set for over 25 minutes waited to be seated after they had our table set up. There were 8 of us the hostess WOULD NOT seat us even when 7 of us had arrived. I mentioned to her that it took two tables even if eighth person was a no show. Finally seated us. 10 minutes to get drinks another 10 to order. Over 30 minutes for food to arrive. Stopped in yesterday for a quick lunch and was very disappointed. We waited almost 45 minutes for a cheeseburger and half a Stromboli. When the waitress was asked why it was taking so long, she told us because the cheeseburgers are so thick that it takes longer to cook. 45 minutes? Seriously? If they were having issues in the kitchen, she could have told us that and we would have understood but don't lie to us. The food look great. Obviously I was disappointed there was no stuffed mushrooms for my wife. The hot Sicilian sandwich taste excellent. Also my server did a good job of keeping my drinks refilled. I'm kind of "over" Arni's although my brother who moved from the area 30 years ago craves Arni's and it's a must-stop whenever he visits. We ordered take out yesterday evening and I must say the Rueben, Arni's Cheesesteak sandwich, and pizza were all outstanding. What took this restaurant into Woohoo! territory was the outstanding manager on duty. You see, when I arrived the 2-Rueben sandwiches we ordered in addition to the pizza were not ready, and the kind manager told me they only had ingredients left for one Rueben. As a business owner myself and having some empathy for the kind lady, I took a deep breath after a long day and said no problem, I'd take the one Rueben and decided on the Arni's Cheesesteak instead. She not only delivered both outstanding, hot, delicious sandwiches in short order, but also did not charge me for either sandwich due to the mistake even though I told her that wasn't necessary. Nobody and no business is perfect; we are all human and make mistakes. It's how we handle those mistakes that make the difference. If management kindly and truly cares for their customers over and above like this woman did, AND the food is delicious, they have my business hands down. This is our favorite Arni's location here in town, although you can't go wrong at any of them. The pizza is the classic crispy thin crust style we like and is always delicious--great to take home but better if you eat it in the restaurant. The sandwiches are excellent too. I think you have to be a native of Lafayette to really enjoy Arni's or Pizza King (I maintain they're the exact same thing, though my husband vehemently disagrees). I LOVE this veggie supreme pizza - thin and crispy crust, very flavorful, and I love that they are so generous with the number and amount of toppings! I just have one suggestion for eating in the restaurant: instead of it being served on cardboard, could it be served on an actual pizza pan instead? It's a bit weird otherwise, the crust comes off the side a bit and the waiter's hands end up touching it a bit. Ordered the garden stromboli. A better description would be "wet veggie sandwich". The bread (hoagie roll?) was pale enough that when I opened the foil, I wondered if stromboli hadn't been baked. Turns out, it's just a veggie, pasta sauce (Prego?), and cheese sub. I was hoping for stromboli - a hot, golden-baked dough pocket of cheesy veggie goodness. I normally do carry-out. It's always ready when I arrive at the promised time. Fresh and delicious food! The prices are reasonable for what product you order! I have explored the menu and have found that the loaded French fries are really good, along with the cheesy garlic bread and their chili. Only thing I dislike is that they changed the way they do their breadsticks and cheese sauce. It's not 'spicy' cheese anymore it's more bland.. and you can't order more than 3 to an order anymore as before you could order 4 or 6. Great place! And highly recommended. We eat here as a work group almost weekly. They are fast at lunch, for both takeout & dining in. Its been a bit crazy during their construction but most of the time we get very good services. Recently ate there & our food was delayed, but they were over the top with trying to fix the issue, got part of our meal free. Excellent customer service, with both takeout & dining in as well. The fav. is the cheezy beef & peppers sandwich, which you can't get at all Arnies. Good place to plan a get together as well, they are very accomodating. Wish their specialty pizzas weren't so pricey, which is why they only get 4 stars. But overall a fun, novelty place to visit when you're in Lafayette, you will find a variety of good food & excellent service-and if its not, let them know & they will make it right. read more
