Wow! Best bagel sandwiches ever. We were in town for a soccer game and did an online order which was ready when we arrived. The bahn mi bagel was so good, and my partner loved the ham and pimento sandwich. Love all the local partnerships you can see in their ingredient choices.

The food was tasty but not knock-you-over (soup had some flavor, though) and the drip coffee was frankly pretty bad (and they wanted payment for the fill-and-refill-yourself second stay-in mug). Decor in the dark place was kinda on the "I'm a sad art kid really trying to cheer myself up" side; seating was plentiful if a little on the crowded side when other customers decided to talk loudly. Order-at-the-counter/tip/bring-it-to-you service was pleasant enough but the ordering process could have been more efficient. It was fine, but there are many other places around that are great, so . . . well, there were lots of people in The Eleventh House, so maybe I'm just not their target demographic.

I stopped in for morning coffee and to check email. The coffee was good. They do bagels, but I did not see a menu posted up. There was probably one about. The vibe is great - tattoos, piercings, and whatever (trying to paint the picture). Nice to see in midwest Lafayette. The message of acceptance is all throughout. The shop was not filled with college kids (being so close to Purdue). It is also not the spot for a quick grab-n-go. The decor is a mish-mash of used tables, chairs, lights, pictures, things... The service was friendly and great, but it is on the slower side as they take their time with everyone. They brought my coffee to me in a mish-mash mug. I will be back when in West Lafayette.

Ordered dark coffee then given house cold coffee. The environment was zombie, emo, and gothic including the discussions with staff while guests are in the dining area. The latte was cold and definitely not a family place or anyplace to have a young kid, from artwork, graphics to music.

WOW. I have not been this excited to write a review for a coffee place in a long time! Everything was outstanding. Everything on the menu sounded so good it was hard to choose. I ended up going with a banana cold brew (amazing flavor) and a lox bagel on an everything bagel. This was unique as it had apple slices on it! It was outstanding! My friends ordered a goat cheese on a jalapeño bagel (blueberry, goat cheese, arugula) and we also had a spicy cortado along with an everything latte! Not one bad thing to say! The service is very quick and if I had to describe the vibes it would be modern grunge revival! I can't wait to come back. Just wish I lived a bit closer to Lafayette.

This has quickly become my Sunday morning spot. The lavender latte with oat milk is the most delicious latte in the whole city. I love sitting on the patio when the weather is nice and reading with my coffee in hand. Eleventh House offers unique coffee drinks and bagels. I highly recommend if you're in the Lafayette area close to downtown!

I pay great homage to any coffeehouse that serves my latte in a glass. Creative drinks, friendly, helpful advice, and a great place to hang out. I come here at least once every time I am in town!

I cannot express how much I LOVE this place. Been coming here for 4 years now and it's definitely my favorite local business in Lafayette. The coffee is ALWAYS made made with quality in mind and I have never been disappointed by the house lattes. You are paying for quality: in house syrups, locally sources ingredients/suppliers, and baristas that never compromise flavors and aesthetics. (All my photos are years apart) The atmosphere is very quirky and unique only to the owner and employees of the cafe. They also sometimes host or support local artists by displaying and selling their art, hosting art festivals at the beginning of every season, and raising funds for local charities. Finally, this place wouldn't be the amazing place it is without the owner and employees. They are all kind, funny, and make you feel welcome. They care about their crafts and are more than happy to help new comers find a drink or dish that is best suited for them. I love this place and am constantly there

Finally the new downtown spot is open instead of the bar that traded church for the stars and cards, mom and the grandparents won't be cringed out now! I do miss the easy parking lot, outdoor patio, and larger seating room but the entire atmosphere is now brighter, more inviting, and music has been balanced to enhance the excellent food and drinks. They had a short stall during opening weeks without food but the full menu and more is in play now! All the drinks and house crafted lattes are pure goodness, testimony to the virtues of house made syrups, high quality Tinker roasted beans, and well mixed lattes. I enjoy just everything from the main menu to seasonal and weekly creations. There's plenty to treat the high class black brew earl as well as those like me needing coffee as unlike coffee as possible. The recent Yule espresso egg nog was sublime. Another recent best has been the Mexican mocha, a rich and spicy winter win. Bagels continue to be excellent just like the previous three years, plenty of options and something just about for everyone, gluten and vegetarian, but am missing that soup, maybe the amazing Hungarian Mushroom can be imported from Black Sparrow please? Only issues I've noticed is no rewards program, no mobile order options even though they used to use the Joe App which was fantastic to get third party benefits and easy ordering, however all small potatoes considering The Eleventh House keeps on as my top local list. My other snobby java jesters agree as well, even one working at the overpriced Greyhouse, that the best drip is made here.

Dreaming of the iced Chinese Five-Spice Latte with oat milk! I came here on a whim and am so glad I stopped by. The staff had some stellar recommendations and I was so happy with my purchase!

one of the coolest cafes i've been to. eleventh house is a huge coffee shop located in a dive bar. they have a unique variety of delicious lattes and cortados. i would HIGHLY recommend the cortado made with rose water and vanilla. the lox bagel is also delicious. it is made with cream cheese, cucumber, pickled onion, capers, and lox, which you can sub for avocado (highly recommend). all bagels are also served with a choice of fresh oranges/grapefruit or spicy potato chips. the service here was quick and friendly. the girl that took our order was extremely patient as we took some time to decide what to order. apparently they also serve pizza and turn into a bar at night? i will definitely check that out next time i'm in town!!

So imagine my (pleasant) surprise that there was but one Triple XXX restaurant that remained open, carrying the torch (as it were) for that great root beer! So on a nice and humid Saturday, me, hubby, and our little Puppy hopped in the car for a 2+ hr drive to West Lafayette IN for lunch! Of course - we got there - an old-style-diner-like building perched on a hill close to Perdue University in West Lafayette! We were seated in the outdoor "full service" tented section of the restaurant (covered) and perused the menu. After ordering the obligatory Triple XXX root beer (but of course - which came with free refills) we turned to the menu! Hubby ordered the Barney Burger - a 1/4 lb chop steak burger with cheese and grilled onions - as fyi, no burger comes with condiments- you get to "dress your own the way you like it" with condi's on the table. I ordered the Bernie Flowers All-Pro - a 1/4 lb chop steak with lettuce, tomato, onion (which I held) and Miracle Whip (yes!) on a toasty sesame bun. We both got curly fries (which were yummy, btw). Ok- first thoughts- the burgers - while fresh- were a bit dry. Hmm. The lettuce on my Bernie was a nice, crisp, and cold leaf. Yes! The tomato was freshly sliced and - honestly- looked like one I'd cut at home. Sweet! So why the 4 stars - I mentioned the meat was dry? Oh my. Yes, that's the sole demerit. But props to the fries and the awesome Root Beer! We enjoyed it - and just in the nick of time. No sooner did we finish up than a severe thunderstorm rolled into town! So we skedaddled to the car, hopped in, and drove thru drenching rain, super strong winds, some light hail - until we got outta Indiana on our way back to Illinois. Would we come again? Of course! Gotta support places like this-they're an important part of Americana! Check it out yourself and enjoy- as we did!

This time I got a burger and root beer. This isn't fancy food, this is country cooking at it's finest. The root beer is amazing. I should have asked about a root beer float, next time. You walk it and sit where ever you can. It it a long counter that wraps around and the wait staff walk inside it. The fries are yummy, and the burger was perfect for what I needed a solid meal since I hadn't eaten in almost 9 hours. Yep sounds like a personal problem. But hey at least the food here has been perfect both times. Maybe next time I will buy a shirt or at least some root beers to go with me. My burger was a true knife and fork meal. At least I am too old to be wearing my chili all over my beard and shirt. Highly recommend if in the area and it is only 5 miles off the interstate. Drive in and enjoy a yummy meal.

I nearly always order a sandwich platter or some variation of that. Today, my husband and I shared an egg salad sandwich along with a side of the vegetarian potato salad and a fruit garnish. It was a healthy amount of food! It was all somewhat light fare, however, so it didn't leave you feeling weighed down after the meal. Vegetarian options abound at this restaurant. They offer egg salad, artichoke, and hummus options for their sandwich platter, but they also have paninis, a veggie burger, salads, etc. And their desserts always look magnificent! Sadly, we did not order one today, but that is not an easy decision. They have a spacious dining area. The front area can seem a little busy, but we always make our way back to the second dining room. Our order was taken promptly, and our food arrived in hardly any time at all. Wonderful service, wonderful food - again, the only thing I could complain about is their limited hours.
