They offer an oyster hour from 4-5 p.m. with half-priced oysters and cheeseboards, making it a great time to visit. As a farm-to-table restaurant, everything tasted incredibly fresh. I tried several dishes, but the standouts were the oysters and the halibut. The oysters were served with freshly shaved horseradish and a delicious mango habanero oil that added the perfect kick. The halibut was beautifully seared, flaky, and fresh. I'd highly recommend making a reservation. I visited on a Monday night, and the restaurant was completely full. I'll definitely be back.

The ambiance is cozy and some dishes were fantastic- the cocktails, Parker house rolls, hanger steak, and acorn squash were absolutely delicious. The misses: chicories- hardly any on the plate! It was primarily a kale salad with watery dressing, the tuna crudo was bland, and the pork came out practically raw and cold. The server explained when we ordered that the pork is supposedly slow roasted but when it came it was very raw. Even after I sent back to cook longer, it was inedible and unappetizing. The spacing between plates was so slow and the service was patronizing. It seemed like our server just assumed we were college students, when we are far from it, and spoke down to us throughout the meal.

Our server was really kind and helpful, giving some great recommendations for drinks. We ordered the cheese plate and I got a local cider, and Nate got "Vermont's most popular beer" according to our server. The cheese plate was a generous portion of three different cheeses, along with plenty of bread, some fruit preserves, and some honey on the plate. I would have preferred the honey in its own container vs. just on the plate, but it was easy enough to avoid. The cheeses were all delicious, and the bread was perfectly toasted. I really enjoyed my cider, which was a bit sweet. The menu sounds really great here, and I'm sure we'll be back the next time we're in town.

Overall WAY overpriced for the quantity/quality ratio!! The Malbec was GREAT and passion fruit margarita (B+\A-) but needs more alcohol for the price. C'mon!! A sister restaurant to Foam Brewers!…read more We spent a weekend in Burlington, VT visiting breweries, wine bars, a comedy show, eating, shopping and it was wonderful. Deep City was a recommendation for brunch from a local. It is the sister restaurant to Foam Brewers (right next door). When we walked in there was a small wait but not bad. We headed over to the brewery to grab coffee and to check it out. It is definitely a cool spot. They have a huge selection of beer, a small wine program (who knew) and small bites. Unfortunately they did not have TVs or else we would've come back to watch the football game but we did purchase some beer before heading back over for brunch at Deep City. The menu here is a little more Mexican-forward think Huevos Rancheros, but there was still plenty of items that looked appealing. We split the banana bread with maple walnut cream cheese (to die for) to share as an app which was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a fruit cup which was also good. We then shared their Huevos Verdes which is similar to Huevos Rancheros except it came with a tomatillo salsa. It was good but very sloppy to eat. Overall it was a great experience, and service was phenomenal. A great brunch place while visiting Burlington VT.

The last time my bf and I went we ordered a special which was Dan Dan noodles with pork, the cheeseburger, and burrata with bruschetta to start. All of the food was full of flavor and fair portion size. Restaurant poco does not take reservations in advance. It's easier to get a seat in spring summer or fall when they open up their outdoor seating and so can host more guests. You have to go to put your name on the wait list regardless of the season and even in summertime with more seating it can be a 20-40min wait. They play good funky music which can sometimes be overwhelmingly loud inside (I.e. a jock jam will be playing at club volume level), that's one of my few complaints. You can be at a two person table and only a few feet away from your dinner date but not always hear them. This happens mostly just during the winter. Outdoor seating is nice with outdoor lights and easy to see and hear whomever you're dining with. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone as they always have great tasting food and good drinks. A little on the pricier side, but worth it.

The menu for the festival included a few savory and a few sweet options, which I appreciated since I personally always prefer a savory option. We got the Popeye, which has Cabot cheese and spinach. It was really fun to watch them make the crepes - it's truly an art. The crepes were delicious! Hot and cheesy, with the spinach wilting a bit. I really loved this simple but tasty snack. The holder they came in was very handy especially for walking around at the festival. My milkshake was a seasonal blueberry compote while the vanilla local ice cream, and everyone else got the maple milkshakes which I tried and very much enjoyed.
