It's extremely frustrating to pay $500 for an incomplete service that only took the technician 40 minutes and did not get the job done. Subsequently, I persistently called, left voicemails and emailed for 2 weeks letting them know of my issue and they kept giving me the run around. It's unfortunate because they were so quick to get me scheduled to take my money but when I told them they obviously didn't do the job I paid for, they have been completely ghost. Because of the nature of the situation and the health hazard, I had to call another company to fix the faulty job they did. The new company is excellent, great customer service and I will recommend them to everyone with any similar issues as well as my HOA because we have wildlife issues is my neighborhood quite often. Companies like Jesse James do not care about customers... customers who work hard NOT to throw away money! That perhaps the landscaping company riled them up and they sought shelter inside. Right then and there I was being told I didn't need to necessarily have a contract for future service and that they would be gone right away. WOW! The honesty of the dynamic duo was impressive so I rewarded them with a contract to ensure no other creepy crawlies showed up. They continue to be the highlight of my week whenever they come into my office. :)

I want to take a moment to comment on their mosquito service. We used them for our house at Lake Anna for over two years. Before we had Pestek Pro, we spent hundreds of dollars at Home Depot (my husband's favorite store) on mosquito treatment. NOTHING worked. Being close to the lake the mosquito's were bad. You would walk outside and you couldn't help but them finding you. After getting fed up from spending money on products that didn't work and getting tired of getting mosquito bites, my parents told me about Pestek Pro. I called them and they came a few days later! After they did their service.... It was night and day difference. Unbelievable! You would see an occasional mosquito (maybe one or two, every so often), but that is to be expected. There were no more mosquito bites, we could actually sit on our front porch and deck in peace! Visiting different neighbors in the neighborhood, we would get overtaken by mosquito's..... As soon as we got back to our yard - Nothing! My neighbors couldn't believe it! Sorry for the long review, I just love this company and their service! TLDR: Orkin lies. Go local instead. They tried scamming me for more money, and refused to refund me…read moreafter they failed to do what they promised. Long Review: Stay away from this company. I've worked in real estate and called for estimates from exterminators in several states, Orkin has brought me the worst experience I've ever had. I inquired about a mouse issue, the person on the phone was pressuring me to buy quickly as possible. He offered a discount that would go away if I hung up. This is a slimy sales tactic and I should've stopped there. Because the service they gave me was a blatant lie from what I was promised on the telephone. After being pressured to not inquire with other companies, I decided to let Orkin inspect my home for pests. I was promised mouse traps and the enclosure of holes for the rats so they wouldn't re-enter. Visiting my house, they REFUSED TO CLOSE THE HOLES, and told me that it was worst for the infestation if they closed them. They said specifically that closing the holes would "rile and trap the rats indoors." Later I contacted another company, and they told me there would be nothing wrong with closing these gaps. And they even looked confused to suggest that closing holes could make a rat infestation worse. So Orkin not only failed to provide the service that was promised, THEY ALSO LIED by saying that closing the gaps was worst for my house. When Orkin inspected my house, they explained to me that rats were entering through the roof and living in my attic, and I needed to fumigate my home to get rid of them. I am now convinced that Orkin only said this to charge me more for a service that was completely unnecessary. Orkin said the cost would be upward to SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I'm extremely happy I didn't pay for this. The other company explained to me that fumigating my home was unnecessary and it was unlikely rats were entering through the roof. Instead, this second company completed the service that Orkin refused to provide, and they filled the gaps, window cracks, and holes with wire meshes. This was something that was promised by Orkin that they didn't provide. And unlike Orkin, the new company I called had no issue of me contacting other exterminators in the area, and were much more courteous than the Orkin inspector who insisted that there was nothing they could do to stop the rats. Not only was this second company not charging me for any of the extra work, but they behaved very cordially while encouraging me to inquire others in case their work wasn't enough. Orkin made me feel like their services were the only option, with a sense of emergency to pay them for extra services as quickly as possible. This is a very dishonest sales tactic, and made me unnecessarily stress in the process of buying a new home for my family. When I decided to call back for a refund, which I felt was justified since Orkin didn't close the gaps like they promised me they would, they refused. Not only did they refuse, but they had the audacity to say that closing gaps wasn't in their services for the initial inspection. Even though that was the primary service promised for their first visit. It was the whole reason I called them out, and they wouldn't even give me a refund for their failure to provide what they promised. I'm very upset with Orkin, and am going to let everyone I know not to use their services because of the blatant disrespect I've felt throughout this entire process. I don't want to cause any issues by naming the better company that I've picked instead. I will just say that I recommend for everyone to look for a local exterminator company instead of Orkin.

We've not had any issues with bugs, spiders, or termites, and we live in a wooded area! Also, we have a crawl space under the entire house and still no issues. My Family unfortunately brought back bedbugs from a family vacation in June that contaminated our…read moremaster bedroom. The bedbugs were contained to one room, our master bedroom, and we contracted Orkin in Manassas to kill the bedbugs. After 2 full treatments, one month apart, we still have bedbugs. During the 2nd treatment, Orkin performed an inspection and claimed that the bedbugs were dead and we could "return to our normal life." We waited an additional 3 weeks before returning our bedroom to normal and found bedbugs again. This has been going on for nearly 2 months and we have spent over $600.00 in services. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do not use Orkin services and find a different pest control company who deserves your money. I am requesting a full refund from Orkin for failing and hope that you will make a better choice in pest control services than I did.

A German yellow jacket nest activity was spotted right to the left side of a soffit of a bay window. The technician spoke with the occupant and advised him about the treatment as a precautionary measures. A direct treatment was made into the nest by the entry points and a broadcast treatment around the front of the house, cracks and crevices to avoid a recolonizing situation or future stinging insect nests. The technician did a thorough job. I didn't have to call the company a second time during the 45 days warranty period. Will hire again if I need to resolve a pest issue.
