Exact quote, "if you gain a few LBs or lose a few LBs just let me know and I'll get you measured and we will alter it for free for the life of the suit" Well fast forward 3.5 mo later-i happened to lose about 14 pounds and went from 35 to 33.5 waist which the pants were right on the cusp of too big in the waist before so now they had to Be taken in. The rep, no longer there of course The new guy sets an appt to come measure and pick up. Turns into a sales pitch for him and 20 min later I had to tell him I didn't have time to view his entire spring catalog today. So he measures, tells me not to lose any lore weight before the pants come and asks me how I will be paying for the $42 alteration I explained that I didn't have to pay and he says oh...yeah we don't offer that, that's not a thing. I said well it is a thing because it was used in my sales pitch and promised as part of the deal... he argued with me and I called my old reps cell phone and on speaker he said yes he did say that. He took my pants and said he would have to call his boss. 3 weeks later no call, no pants. Another week goes by so I call and new rep says he had them in his car "for a few days" just had to find time to run them by... they looked like they had been taken in about 1/2 inch to 34.5 and barely stayed up. Suit hasn't been worn in a while. Disappointing service! The fact that no one from their corporate wing sees these reviews and attempts to remedy or at least figure out why so many people have bad experiences with them and fix them. I've been extremely happy with the fit and finished of the items. I've read reviews on Yelp, as well as on other sites, in which people complain about dishonest sales tactics and over-persistence. Akia has been the total opposite of those things and has been quite professional. Her job is to generate sales. People need to understand that the Tom James sales reps build their business from referrals. They don't advertise in on the web or on television. With that said, if you meet with a rep, realize that they are going to do their best to figure out what styles you like and to sell you items that fit that style. You just have to be firm about what you will and will not do in terms of committing to buy "on the spot."

Pleasant. But recently I had a terrible experience in store with an employee and the manager and it's put a really bad taste in my mouth. I had a complicated return regarding a mistake by corporate and despite having an email from customer service (who I had called prior to driving all the way in to figure out what was going on and how to deal with it) detailing what the store should do they still hassled me about it and tried not to honor it. It was uncomfortable and upsetting. I may not return over it and shop at other locations despite them being farther away. Gave this location the benefit of the doubt as I have had good experiences in the past but this was just inexcusably bad. **Edit after trying to use the gift card I went in for at my earlier comments: turns out they botched the return and the store credit I received has "an issue" where it appears to "be fraudulent" (this is coming strait from customer service) which so far has resulted in a canceled order & now multiple calls to customer service to get the situation sorted out. I don't know if this was done on purpose out of malice or if it was simply a mistake but they didn't want to accept my customer mandated retention to begin with and it was a bit of a fight and now this? So while I have had positive experiences here in the past & initially gave them the benefit of the doubt with that in mind (3 stars) I'm changing that in light of this new information and will not return to this location in the future.

We wanted to buy and would have likely bought if the staff actively helped or engaged with us. I did try on a dress that was on the 'one left' rack but it looked worn. Clearly wrinkled through use at the front and pilling at the seat. This did not add any further trust as a customer. Better to go online than visit this store.
