    Churros & fried ice cream

Stopped here randomly on a Thursday night roadtrip pit stop. Place was big, with a huge bar & some outdoor seating. That night it was not very busy and waitstaff was friendly. The salsa was really good & the chips were fresh, salsa had just the right amount of kick for us gringos. Chicken in the Pollo fundito & chicken quesadilla was so tender and the portion sizes were perfect. I loved the Pollo fundito! Not only is it fun to say, but, I mean, cheese!! Ground beef tacos, enchiladas, & chimichanga were all good, beef was well seasoned but not spicy at all. The 4 of us were stuffed but we got the churro desert to share and it was amazing. When we got back to our hotel for the night we noticed the hotel staff had this place up as a recommendation in the area. They were right! And to think we almost stopped at Cracker Barrel!

Hungry couple in the right place.

Somehow we stopped 3 times to east at the same place on our road trips Miami-Raleigh. Great food and great service every time.

We went for Wednesday wings as were traveling up the East Coast. The price was very good $6.99 for 10 wings. But the wings were horrible dry and overcooked. The bathroom needs totally updated the toilet seat has bare wood and the door is falling apart. I do not recommend eating here.

Ok, this place was odd but ended up being decent. You walk in to a million signs on the glass at the entrance and once you get inside you face an enormous bar and begin to wonder if it is a nightclub or restaurant. We were promptly seated and our server was wonderful. Chips, queso, salsa all excellent. The menu was odd but lots to choose from. I got the chicken enchiladas which were not the best but portion sizes were great. The shrimp entree was super spicy! The margaritas for $2 were exactly what you would expect for $2...and ask about different sizes because they discount all sizes for happy hour which we didn't know until the end. Overall good visit and food was decent. Nothing that stood out but they hold their own.

This place was busy! Service was still great, though. We were a party of 4 and sat right away. Happy hour was active, so that explains part of the crowd there. Chips and salsa were brought out right away, and the chips were fresh. We ordered house margaritas and they were delicious! We ordered and our food was delivered quickly. Portions are large, and prices are very reasonable. Could not get many pictures inside just because they were so busy, but they have lights and festive decorations throughout the restaurant (tastefully, not over the top)

We went on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. It is A large restaurant with many TVs showing sports. There is a square bar in the middle Of the restaurant. They bring you free chips and d Salads. The salsa is fresh and tasty. The menu has so many options. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 2 Al pastor tacos with beans and rice. They brought chicken instead of the carne asada. When I told the server, he took the chicken tacos and returned with carne asada about 10 minutes later. We had a Margarita on the rocks and a frozen banana margarita. They both seemed to have no liquor in them. They were $1 off during happy hour. Happy hour is offered in the dining room. The food was tasty and very affordable. There was plenty of parking in the attached lot.

Worst ACP I've ever seen ever. The rice they used was like brown rice and the chicken was rubbery and gross. Small portion too.

Below average food compared to Tex's Mex in Texas. SC should stick with Seafood and BBQ. Service was below average too.

Only about eight tables inside and they also have grocery items, including fruit and vegetables, candies, and baked goods. At first, we were gonna get get our items to go, but when we realized it would probably be hard to eat in the car so we stayed and had a wonderful meal. Did you really want to hear about the food: Salsa - fresh, mild kick, I would consider it more on that chunky side than the smooth side. Salsa - very thin, some more on the smooth side, but very tasty. Cucumber Pinapple Drink - refreshing, with a hint of the pineapple sweetness. Really delicious, and served in a small picture which threw me at first, but then I realized everybody else had them, and they were drinking through a straw. Problem solved. Tamarind Drink - not quite as refreshing as the cucumber, but the drink was good with that hint of tamarin flavor.. Burritto - serve with your choice of meat, it was enough to feed two people, two very large people. It also comes with fresh, cucumber and radishes, which was a really nice touch. We got ours with chicken and peach with our choice.. We decided to get a couple of the baked goods to go, so maybe I'll update my review after we give those a try in the morning. Great little fine. I think you'll enjoy it.

Captains Quarters is just across the street. Yelp showed great reviews and the menu was super appealing. Mix of seafood, steaks and just good home cooking. It opens at 5pm for dinner weekdays. We got there about 6 to a pretty large crowd already. Apparently the locals know . Gypsy was our amazing server. Sweet and super knowledgeable. She's this places best advertisement. She had great tips on the whole menu. She was spot on for the red sauce. Chicken parm was perfectly tender. Sauce was like Nonnas. Recommendation to do the shrimp blackened was perfect. Way too much food for sure but she did warn that we would not go home hungry!! Beer was cold. Wine recommended was perfect and did we mention Ms Ellie? Ms E is an amazing young lady who stood watch on the whole dining room. With a hawklike gaze she quickly recognized a table needing bussed or a chair needing straightened And didn't need a prompt. Her quick action ensured table turn times were super Low. Please recognize her hard work. She's making everyone money!!! We stopped by to show her our appreciation on our way out and she lit up . Two big meals. Beer and wine and I was embarrassed how small our bill was. What a great bargain and great find. We booked the same hotel for our April trip so we can come back here!! See ya soon Gypsy!!
