I know it's long, but I had to spent about an hour to leave a legit review. Thanks.
I used to live in Arlington farm apartments in ... 2015.09 ~ 2016.08 (a year) and also used to sublease a unit in 2018.07.26 ~ 08.31 (for a little more than a month). I had 2 years of gap in my residency because I was on active duty. And there is a reason why I was chose Arlington Farm for sublease. (see below)
Having lived here in Arlington farm APT, for that much time, I would personally say, with not being affiliated with anybody, this is an AWESOME apartment complex in Davis. If I were to choose other complex other than this one, then it would only be because I'm in interested in different location or style of the community, and that's it. It's just perfect. The conditions of the unit, facilities and services that they provide for their residents are what is expected. However, since nothing is REALLY perfect, there are some "cons" to consider. But overall, this apartment complex is a great choice that I don't think people should feel regretful of deciding to live here, because they offer a little more than what you pay for.
Cons:
- If your unit is close to the Russell Blvd, expect to hear some "minor" car swishing sound.
- Some apartment complexes open during the weekends. This one does not. But most (pretty much all) apartments in Davis don't open during the weekends. and hey, I'm living in Sacramento, and they're doing it because there are so many potential customers coming in and out everyday compared to Davis. However, as a resident, I think that's just expecting for too much from them that it should be courteous enough for them to be able to assist residents during the week days.
- pest wise, I found that there are some spiders.. So you'll have to spend extra time on removing the spiderwebs in the corner here are there, or else, you'll occasionally see spiders. (but never seen a single roach or an ant). But hey, we gotta take care of our lodgings ourselves... so it all goes down to OUR fault... we can't blame them for this.
notice... these cons are very... minor.
If you can't handle this, you're spoiled..
other than that...
- it provides a spacious room,
- it offers an optional covered parking spot (there's a fee though)
- basic facilities (like pool & gym)
I mean... that's enough for me, but they provide more.
Just to pin point something,
They help their residents with finding a subleasee. They take in information from their residents and connect with people who are calling in the leasing office, looking for any sublease vacancies. We should know this is very courteous of them doing this for people, because you'll notice no other apartment complexes do this for their residents. I, of course, wanted to live in an apartment complex with the best reviews. So that's why I called not only Arlington Farm, but also tried Sundance Apartment, Almondwood Apartments, (I don't remember the other names) and couple more. Wherever I called in and asked if they have a list of sublease vacancies, apartments don't help people with finding a sublease. THIS ONE DOES!!! HOW AMAZING!!! well I understand you can always look on craigslist, and look for other options, but hey, I tried 20?+ kindly emailing people on craigslist if they still like to do business. But nobody replied. It's a hassle!
**Funny thing is,
I sent 20+ emails to people on craigslist and got 0 replies (no joke).
but I got emails from 4 different Arlington farm residents asking me if I'm still interested for sublease.
The amount of work that I put the most didn't get me a single reply. But the amount of work that I put the least effort (just calling the Arlington farm) got me a room. WTF. That was only because they were kind enough to do this for people. So I asked them why they do this, they said, their purpose is to provide the best experience for their residents. I asked them if they put extra charge on anybody for this, and no they're just doing this free of charge for their residents.
I'm just saying one incident,
There are few other occasions that I felt really appreciated what they do for people. You'll just have to see who they are yourself. But they're nice people. I don't know why they've got such a low rating compared to what they deserve. I think they AT LEAST deserve a 4.5, and the average should be about.... 4.7. (On Google) read more
