However, I have stored my RV at this location for several years now and the place is absolutely clean and well maintained. The storage locker area is in good condition. The RV area has a lot of nice folks who park there, no one I've ever met has been sketchy. There is one lady who has a locker nearby and is always there, fumbling through her stash of books, seems to be a whackadoo, but she's harmless. Actually, she's kind of entertaining. The woman, Karen, who oversees this facility is absolutely a gem. So, like I said, I don't know much about storage facilities, but this place seems to be one of the best places to go if you're into that kind of thing.

Everyone has bad days. Price and location are still the strong factors. It doesn't have the 5 star perfect everything great WOW factor but it's MORE than serviceable. ** The venue is in ok shape, not too nice but nothing grungy. It's pretty easy to get in and out, which is nice. I am on the second floor so the freight elevators are a bit of a pain but they work. Staff is a bit testy most of the time. Helpful enough but definitely have an air of irritability about them. The pricing is what saves this place. I find it to be pretty competitively priced relative to other places. My biggest gripe is having to pay in a physical manner- cash or check. The inability to pay online is really annoying these days.

South Davis Storage is a smaller division so naturally they can only hold so many trucks in their lot. I can only imagine how busy they are during move-out weekends -- especially when they're dealing with last minute bookings by frantic, impatient students. Unless you plan early and call ahead of time to make sure the truck is there, it's your fault not theirs for coming up empty handed. **Gold stars for the couple who've chosen to set up shop in a college town** (It's probably a combination of great business tactic and hair-pulling stress) One suggestion also is to pay close attention when you're booking online. Certain longer trucks (16' and larger) are often only available in West Sac. The website will tell you this small detail but doesn't present it very clearly, which can be frustrating when you're explaining it to the nice lady at the front desk. Very much like a toxic ex. I always paid rent and utilities on time, so it didn't make sense that they were forcing me to a different building. Taking away my renewal completely because I didn't comply with what they were forcing me to do put me in a huge stressor of a situation and I had to find emergency housing with such little time during moving season. Additionally, when deposit returns came. They take forever to send it to you, and they don't explain very well what you were charged for. The photos they provide are blurry, and in black and white. You can't make out what they're taking photos of at all. Plus, it seems like they just took photos of anything? We got photos of just a person standing in one of the rooms and the kitchen. No explanation for the charge, just a person in a room. It was funny to see that but still I recommend providing obvious photos of "damage" instead of sketchy, blurry, black and white ones. This property was alright at first but it's super obvious that they only care about money and not the people they are housing, which are more often going to be college students living on their own for the first time. I don't suggest living here if you're low income, a college student, or someone who doesn't have access to a lot of resources because they seem to just do whatever they want with you without a second thought. My only favorite part about this place was the maintenance crew. Super nice people and always got stuff done quickly. I really hope they're being paid enough for the amount of care they put into the residents, moreso than the management team. Told him who we spoke with when we were there and he told us this person doesn't come in until Saturday and he is or will not be able to talk to him until then. Basically he won't do anything for their mistake. we had to scramble to find another storage and closet one we found is 20 miles away as everything else near the school is gone. Unbelievable!
