I absolutely love Atkinson Storage and their staff! They're family-owned, and it really shows in the way they treat their customers. We packed up our U-Haul and moved our storage from Vacaville to Dixon, and I only wish we had done it sooner. It's more affordable, much closer to home, and the entire experience has been great. We had one small hiccup when moving into our unit, but the staff resolved it quickly and made sure everything was taken care of. I highly recommend Atkinson Storage. If you're looking for a clean, affordable storage facility with amazing customer service, this is the place. 100% recommend! read more

We rented a space here for years and found the facility to be clean, pest-free, secure, centrally located and easy to access. The lanes are plenty wide enough to allow us to park by our storage unit for hours while we sorted and cleaned without concern of blocking traffic. We even heard someone playing the drums from inside one of the storage units. read more

Amazing customer service by both Kathy and Stephanie. Purchased a storage, then found another arrangement, so called them right away to see if I could cancel it. Stephanie said as long as I get there by 3:45 since they close at 4 on Saturday. Got there by 3pm and Stephanie startEd the process pronto. Super friendly people and didn't give me any trouble. If you folks ever need storage unit, come see these professional people who loves their job. Again to both of you "thumbs up" and 50 star ratings. read more

The Professionalism and HELPFULNESS of this Storage Center is unmatched... Carol, Greg and staff have always been there when I needed them. Units are spotless and safe... Never had any issues getting in "when you should be able to get in" and... Atkinson Self Storage is a wonderful family-owned storage facility. I was in contact with Carol since I made my first call to reserve a unit. She quickly did most of the paperwork over the phone and all I had to do was come in and sign the papers. Their prices are very fair and they offer a 10% discount to UCD students. We got a 5x5 unit for an indefinite amount of time. Because I don't live nearby, it's awesome that I can pay my bill online without having to setup automatic payments. We got an indoor unit which is the same price as an outdoor one and it was impeccably clean. Atkinson is clean, professional, and friendly. This wasn't something I expected, rather, it was a pleasant surprise. read more

Got a storage unit a couple of days ago. Trent was very friendly and helpful. Application process was painless and quick, and prices are fair. storage units are secured by a locking gate for entry/exit, and cameras monitor the entire complex. One thing i like about this place as opposed to some other storage places is that it's clean! based on my experience i would recommend this place. read more

If you are looking for a storage facility in the Davis/Dixon area, then you have to go with Atkinson Self Storage. This place has a few things going for it that puts up above all the other places I've used in the past. It's clean, the staff there is really friendly, and the prices are affordable. What more could you ask for? My friend and I decided to share a storage unit to save a little money, but we realized we both had way too much stuff to fit in the storage unit. Trent, one of the managers, was able to find us a unit more than twice as big for just a few dollars more. They really care about their storage tenants, they have fresh baked cookies in office, and since its been so damn hot these past days, they go around handing out bottles of water and powerade. I definitely recommend Atkinson Self Storage for all your storage needs. Also if you get chance, try to chat it up with Trent a bit. He's pretty funny. read more

These people were great! I needed a storage unit on pretty short notice (like about a week or so before I moved), and they had the perfect sized unit for me. They were super helpful and thorough when explaining their rules and such, and right at the start they gave me a 5-day grace period after the actual last day of my lease to get all my stuff out. They sent me a reminder email a few days before the lease was up too. All my stuff was completely intact when I got it back (one month), not too much dust, no mouse damage or droppings to be seen, no moth damage. Just make sure you're talking to the bosslady when you call, her husband is a nice guy but not great for info purposes. They sell locks and boxes on site I believe. They have treats in the lobby too if you're there early enough! read more

Trucks are clean and reliable. They have every packing box and amenity you could think of to make sure your property is safe from damage while moving. The rental units are clean and safe with 24 hour surveillance cameras. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Two thumbs up!!! I highly recommend!! read more

The people are friendly and watch out for each other, and make for sure that wandering vagrants are not hanging around causing trouble. Very few places in this part of town can say that. Now, look it up on Google maps. Type in the address, and try to find the park. The reason it is so hard, is because pretty much all you see are trees. Catch the hint: there are a lot of trees in the park, which translates to a lot of shade, which translates into cooler places that cost less to air condition. This is a few minutes walk from downtown and maybe 10 minute walk from campus. You have all of the benefits of living on all of Drive, and a sweet little community talked out of sight to not be bothered. Pretty much ideal for living in an area as crowded as Davis. The park has been making improvements year over year, and now is easily nicer than the two biggest ones in town.

The grounds are clean and nice. The pools look well kept and the weight room is perfect for a fast workout. I didn't interact with the staff as we arrived so late don our first night due to my health. I would definitely recommend if you have kids or don't have kids. The playground area is very nice and fenced in for safety reasons. My service dog was so intrigued by their remote control robot lawn mower. My dog is trained to NOT let distractions distract him but the mower had he looking and looking. Thanks for allowing us to make some memories together.

On the way back down, I had a mishap and my shoelace hoop hooked onto my other shoes hook and I took a nice fall. It was my mistake and not the trails. I didn't even try to fix my mistake because as we were nearing the parking lot, I tripped again (same reason) and I fell on the rocks right before the asphalt. We had a good laugh. The employee who was on the golf cart was on his way back and saw me on the ground. He kindly asked if I needed help but I was too busy laughing and embarrassed that I declined his help. This will definitely be a memory to remember!

We found a much better facility the next day, but had to wait until the following weekend to move. We kept to ourselves, and the blinds down. Warning. They do not give refunds. It wasn't until after they had taken payment for the month, that they informed us that the pool was out of order at least until end of summer, the gate partially worked and was transitioning to a new system, the grill area out of order. We never even bothered to go to the laundry facilities, but I would not get hopes too high. We were warned not to walk at night or in the surrounding area. This is a trailer park filled with friendly, down on their luck people. It is not a place for vacationers or even business travelers.

When I signed up, I was only told that I would be paying a certain amount each month and that I could cancel at any time. At no point did anyone explain that I was being placed on a 4-month promotional rate or that my monthly payment would dramatically increase once that promotion ended. If I had been given that information upfront, I would have made a different decision. Instead, I was blindsided by a huge price increase with no warning. It's unacceptable for a company to leave out important details like this when signing up customers. I contacted customer service expecting them to help resolve the issue, but they were unprofessional, unhelpful, and showed no concern for the fact that I had never been properly informed. This experience felt dishonest and misleading. I will not be doing business with this company again, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Be sure to read every detail yourself because they may not tell you everything before you sign up.

After several days, I found out they didn't even have the proper software to calibrate my actuator--something that should be basic for a shop claiming Evinrude expertise. That was already a red flag. It got worse after I took my boat home. When I tilted the engine up, oil poured out of the motor, indicating that something was clearly mishandled or improperly reassembled. Overall, this experience left me feeling like they lack the necessary tools, knowledge, and attention to detail to perform reliable work. I would not recommend this shop if you want your boat serviced correctly. The boat was dirty. The cables were hanging. Now I have to take my boat to some other shops.

Atkinson self storage is absolutely the best. I have had the perfect service while my belongings were stored there and the grounds are safe and clean. I rented a U-Haul to move and Carol went way beyond what I could of expected to get our move done smoothly during the holidays, and all while the office was closed. No one else would have been so accomadating!! This is one of the most professionally run businesses I know of ! Thank you! read more
