We rented a space here for years and found the facility to be clean, pest-free, secure, centrally located and easy to access. The lanes are plenty wide enough to allow us to park by our storage unit for hours while we sorted and cleaned without concern of blocking traffic. Amazing customer service by both Kathy and Stephanie. Purchased a storage, then found another arrangement, so called them right away to see if I could cancel it. Stephanie said as long as I get there by 3:45 since they close at 4 on Saturday. Got there by 3pm and Stephanie startEd the process pronto. Super friendly people and didn't give me any trouble. Atkinson Self Storage is a wonderful family-owned storage facility. I was in contact with Carol since I made my first call to reserve a unit. She quickly did most of the paperwork over the phone and all I had to do was come in and sign the papers. Their prices are very fair and they offer a 10% discount to UCD students. We got a 5x5 unit for an indefinite amount of time. Because I don't live nearby, it's awesome that I can pay my bill online without having to setup automatic payments. We got an indoor unit which is the same price as an outdoor one and it was impeccably clean. Atkinson is clean, professional, and friendly. Got a storage unit a couple of days ago. Trent was very friendly and helpful. Application process was painless and quick, and prices are fair. storage units are secured by a locking gate for entry/exit, and cameras monitor the entire complex. If you are looking for a storage facility in the Davis/Dixon area, then you have to go with Atkinson Self Storage. This place has a few things going for it that puts up above all the other places I've used in the past. It's clean, the staff there is really friendly, and the prices are affordable. What more could you ask for? My friend and I decided to share a storage unit to save a little money, but we realized we both had way too much stuff to fit in the storage unit. Trent, one of the managers, was able to find us a unit more than twice as big for just a few dollars more. They really care about their storage tenants, they have fresh baked cookies in office, and since its been so damn hot these past days, they go around handing out bottles of water and powerade. I definitely recommend Atkinson Self Storage for all your storage needs. Also if you get chance, try to chat it up with Trent a bit. He's pretty funny. read more

These people were great! I needed a storage unit on pretty short notice (like about a week or so before I moved), and they had the perfect sized unit for me. They were super helpful and thorough when explaining their rules and such, and right at the start they gave me a 5-day grace period after the actual last day of my lease to get all my stuff out. They sent me a reminder email a few days before the lease was up too. All my stuff was completely intact when I got it back (one month), not too much dust, no mouse damage or droppings to be seen, no moth damage. Just make sure you're talking to the bosslady when you call, her husband is a nice guy but not great for info purposes. They sell locks and boxes on site I believe. They have treats in the lobby too if you're there early enough! read more

Trucks are clean and reliable. They have every packing box and amenity you could think of to make sure your property is safe from damage while moving. The rental units are clean and safe with 24 hour surveillance cameras. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Two thumbs up!!! I highly recommend!! read more
