We put our life possessions in the hands of others with the expectation that they will be safe from theft or damage. Storing your possessions with Dixon Self Storage is fly's in the face of this premise. Going in to there office and asking particular questions regarding dates, resulted in utter frustration. If the woman with the Nasty attitude wasn't there you can't get the time of day and when she is there, should you show your frustration or disdain for their lack of service or help you get zip and kicked out. Watch out for the Dates and know the storage lien laws and ramification of a storage lien sale. These guys messed around with our dates, in essence stealing our possessions and sold them. We had to discover this. Conveniently Not running our bank card which had loads of credit available and should there be an issue, our bank would cover pretty much any amount presented to them but Dixon Self Storage knew we had loads of Valuables, not to exclude Painting, Electronics, Silver and the list is endless. Remember, when they cut the locks, nothing keeps them from entering, snooping or stealing.
We discovered that they had sold our lockers. They further refused any detail and became more than hostile. Now anyone that has studied the California Lien Laws pertaining to Storage facilities know once a sale is perfected and the lien is satisfied the 'overage' is to be returned to the tenant. Not at Dixon Self Storage. We have located the auctioneer, and buyer and have seen our belongings on web sites being sold. We have not received a single red cent nor does Mr. and Mrs. Mgr. want to discuss the details with us... So, its been a number of months and no we will not allow the Statutes run, we needed to find our property, who sold it and who bought it and that has been done. So, check back, these guys should receive a nice Holiday Law Suit.
