Julie was amazing to work with she walked me through some of the insurance things that I never would have known about to make sure I got the amount of money my mom deserved for her car after it was totaled. The staff there went above and beyond so I brought my car back for work done as well and it was very quickly done to perfection. I had a deeply frustrating and concerning experience with Arlington Towing on 6/30/26. My car broke down on a main road in Cranston, and although AAA was already on the way, Cranston PD required the nearest towing company to remove my vehicle. Arlington Towing responded. I followed the driver to their lot expecting a routine tow and release process, but what followed was anything but professional. Their office environment was chaotic and inappropriate for a business setting, with children's toys scattered throughout and two very young children running around unsupervised while transactions were being conducted. After paying cash for the tow, I was immediately pressured to leave without receiving my correct change or the documentation I needed for AAA reimbursement. They also sent away my AAA driver without my consent, effectively canceling my roadside assistance. When I attempted to resolve the situation, staff refused to cooperate. They claimed they were closing and would not release my car, even though it had already been paid for, and left it locked behind their gate. Police had to be called and remained on scene while I waited for a second AAA driver to be dispatched. Only with police presence was I able to receive my correct change. Even then, Arlington Towing refused to provide any receipt or documentation for reimbursement. Staff also made false accusations to police that I was filming their children, which officers dismissed. Ultimately, my vehicle was released only after law enforcement intervened and stayed until AAA retrieved it. This experience raised serious concerns about professionalism, business practices, and basic consumer rights. I would strongly caution others to avoid this company if possible. read more

Car was towed to Arlington Towing and Recovery following an accident involving my daughter who is 3months pregnant. Took my daughter in to collect her personal belongings from her vehicle where as we were denied access to the car to obtain belongings . According to the woman in the front she wanted proof of more than just liability insurance before allowing us to access the car. When I spoke up in behalf of my daughter assuring them that she indeed had Full coverage she told me to shut up!!! And asked me if my name was Karen!!! What??????, I don't think I have ever encountered such a vile individual. My advice is to stay away from this business, poor all around!! read more

they break the law intentionally to steamroll unknowing clients into submission against their right per RIGL, you have to know your rights before dealing with these folks or they will add retaliatory fees if you argue with them. Police had to get involved, but they are very tight with them so you may have to get an attorney. read more

This is the worst auto body shop I have ever dealt with. The clerk is rude and makes up her own rules. My husband and I are elderly we missed our registration and our truck was towed by this co. After proving the new registration was valid. they tried saying our truck wasn't insured, when I asked to go to my truck to provide the ins. card that was in the truck I was told I couldn't. Luckily our son was with us and showed them the police provided citation stating the registration only. So finally they had no other way of stalling us and released our truck. I believe they were stalling so they could charge a storage fee in addition to the towing fee. They do not except credit cards cash only business. That says a lot by itself. I'm 65 years old and they showed no respect at all. This business should not be used by any of the police depts. Rating they should have 0stars 00stars because that would be the correct rating for this business!! read more

It may take a little bit of waiting, but patience goes a long way, excellent work repairing my Dad's car, we honestly don't notice a difference at all, the unexpected cleaning and car wash service also gives it a brand-new feel, almost like we are at a dealership and not an auto-body/towing shop. I was in a minor accident that only involved my drivers side tire and rim. it has been over a month and they just got around to ordering the tire and rim. I have had to call constantly to check on progress. I am always told I will get a call back but never do. The receptionist is rude and acts as if she doesn't have time to answer questions or follow through with insurance requirements and inspection appointments. I've never had such poor customer service. First of all, they do good work. I was rear ended and required over $6000 in repairs. The repairs look great! No noticable differences in the repaired work and the original. And the car drives just like before the accident. They worked with the insurance company so I did not have any paperwork to complete. Now, the bad. It took forever! Over 7 weeks total. And the communications were poor. They NEVER contacted me. When I called them it was always waiting on parts. I could never get a real estimate of the completion date. Not a warm fuzzy service experience. But they did do a good job. read more

This is my first time dealing with an Auto Body shop. My perception is that most of those who are in car business (whether car sales or car repairs) are dishonest people, and they're out there to get you. This family owned business gave me a completely different taste as they were very straight forward from the beginning, no wonder they have been in business since 1984. When i called my insurance company to inform them about the damage to the door of my 2015 Odyssey and based on where i live they recommended that i take to Arlington Auto Body, but i was reluctant as the car is brand new and i was thinking to take it to the dealership. Any way i thought to give them a call to "feel them out" , I ended up talking to Maria and few days later stopping by and meeting Angelo. few seconds after i met Angelo i was sold as he is very genuine and honest guy, he explained to me what they will do exactly and when they will do it. I am not exaggerating when i say the car came out of body shop better than when i got it the first time from the dealership. don't think twice about going to this business very honest people, high craftsmanship and flawless work. read more

This past Fourth of July, my parents (from VA) drove up to visit me here in Providence. On the cusp of crossing into RI from CT, their SUV broke down on the side of the highway in Westerly. After waiting in the sweltering heat for almost 3 hours for a tow truck contracted by their insurance to bring them to safety, I had them towed to Arlington Auto Body in Cranston. I had called around auto body shops from Westerly to Providence, but each one was closed after store hours or for vacation. Upon searching for shops closer to me, I came across reviews for this particular shop and gave them a ring. Even when they were technically closed, someone was there to open the gates to safely store my parents' vehicle inside the locked lot and even assisted my parents in removing all the items from their fully loaded car into my car. As this shop happened to be open the Friday after July 4th, we were hoping the car can get repaired soon to allow my parents to return home Sunday evening and make it to work Monday. However, the next day, we found out that the parts that needed to be fixed had to be ordered and brought in. The shop owner called everywhere in RI seeking the fuel pump and finally procured one earlier in the day. However, the gasket used to seal the pump was not supposed to arrive until the following Monday. The autobody shop was also closed on Saturday anyways. We expected the worst,... having to wait until the end of Monday to possibly have the car fixed or possibly Tuesday. Meanwhile, I anxiously called around Nissans in RI and MA, asking if they had all the parts for the car repair and if it could be taken in by Monday. All the shops were fully booked for the weekend except one, and that one didn't have both parts. They quoted me $400 for the fuel pump which needed to be ordered and wouldn't come in for 2 business days. Well, Saturday around noon, I received a call from the shop owner, telling us the car was fixed! He had driven close to Boston to pick up the part himself and had a technician come in for 2 hours to replace the fuel pump and gasket. The owner knew we were extremely concerned as my parents, especially my father, needed to complete work for delivery to a client Tuesday. I had even purchased a nonrefundable backup Greyhound bus ticket to DC for my father for Monday at 3pm in case the car was not fixed by then. Even though Arlington Auto Body closed on Saturdays, the owner Angelo went out of his way to help our family, quoted us at less than the Nissan dealer, and completed the repair in time for my parents to safely drive back down to their home Sunday evening. He essentially saved us a lot of distress and anxiety, which could've completely ruined our family's holiday weekend. Now, we didn't have to worry! We are so thankful for the persistence, honesty, and hard work Angelo and his team put in to help us in a time of emergency during their own holiday weekend. I highly recommend this family-owned establishment for your car repair needs! They know their stuff and will not rip you off :) read more

My Vehicle was recently towed here after having my insurance company, Liberty Mutual refer them to me. I must say they did a great job with replacing my vehicles tires and rims. Lisa, the women who works at the front desk was amazing, her customer service skills are superb! She made time to call me and give me updates on my car. Along with the service that I was getting the shop also cleaned the inside and outside of my car. I recently took a vehicle there to have some from end body work done on it and I am more than impressed. It looks better than it did before the accident. Much better! If I could give them more than five stars I would. Their service was as great as the work they did. The owner and his wife are incredibly nice people and when I went there I felt like I was part of the family. Stay away! Last week my sister was in a car accident, rear ended on 95 North on her way to work. She was taken to the hospital and her car was towed to Arlington, not by request. Luckily her injuries were not serious, just a case of whip lash and a sore back and was released from the hospital about an hour or so later. Arlington had left her a message stating her car had been towed to their facility and to please call them. From the moment she called them it was sales pitch after sales pitch about why she should let them repair her car. MULTIPLE times she was told her car was not drive-able but repairable. Once we got there we learned they had already called her insurance company to file a claim, which she never authorized them to do. And again, they kept spewing out sales lines to her. We asked to see the car since my sister didn't even see the damage. Upon inspection of the vehicle there was NO VISIBLE DAMAGE what so ever. So how is the car not drive-able? Oh right, it completely was. That put up a red flag right away. Once we were back inside my sister had questioned them why the car wasn't drive-able considering there is no damage. While we were outside looking at the car they had called a car rental place who just arrived with a rental. My sister declined the rental trying to explain to them that if insurance comes and looks at the car and sees it IS in fact drive-able that they wouldn't cover the cost of the rental. She also stated that she wanted to take her car home and have her own mechanic (and good friend) look at the car for free and if it had frame damage or anything else then she would have it fixed at the dealership since it was a lease. As soon as she told them she wanted to take her car their whole demeanor changed and the verbal attack began. The Owners (both husband and wife) started YELLING at my sister and she began to cry. They told her that she owed over $100 in towing and storage fees in order to release the car, unless she kept it there and then they would bill insurance. My sister didn't have that kind of money, so close to Christmas so of course she becomes more upset. She needs a car in order to work but is afraid to get a rental (see above), but also can't afford to pay for towing and storage. They continue to yell at her telling her, and I quote, "You're being brainwashed by big dealerships" "You're not going to find another auto body shop as good as this one" etc etc. I said I would pay for the towing and storage so we could get the car and get the hell out of there. The male owner is too busy yelling about he needs to be paid for the service that he didn't hear me. I had to yell STOP three times before everyone stopped talking. I once again repeated myself that the fees are going to be paid and we are taking the car. I couldn't believe the level of how unprofessional they were. Let alone the fact that car accidents are nerve wracking as it is, my sister had gotten out of the hospital 45 minutes prior to their verbal attack on her. What kind of a business and business owner(s) yell at a customer and make them cry? Stay far far away from Arlington Auto Body. read more

Both owners of this company need to learn a little customer service if they are going to talk to people. My husbands car was sitting at this place for over week and was not touched. We finally had his car towed from this place to a more reputable company that actually knows the correct process of handling a vehicle. While the car was sitting at Arlington. One of the lug nuts went missing (these are special extended lug nuts for his wheels specifically) the owners wife tried saying that it probably just fell off and my husband didn't notice (cause that happens often right?) I asked if we could simply verify this with their security cameras. She started yelling at me saying there is no point. If they find it they will call us. She hung up on me because she was speaking over me and was not happy when I questioned their security. I called back she again was yelling at me. I explained that I would simply file a police report as my attorney instructed me and it can be handled that way and through their insurance company. Her husband then came outside because we were waiting for another two truck to bring the car to a better company. He approached my vehicle and began yelling at me for accusing them of taking a lug nut. I asked him to stop yelling. I was not yelling. I tried explaining I was not accusing him I was simply asking for verification. He continuted to speak over me and stated that he would call the police and we could not take our car. Even after we already paid him his 100$ tow fee. The owners of this company do not know how to treat people with respect. I am very dissatisfied and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this place. read more

I got into a car accident and my car was towed here, unfortunately. My insurance guy said that to fix the damages it should take no more than a week tops. It's been two months since my car has been here. I understand that things happen, and my car may have been more damaged than anticipated but this place LACKS in communication. I would call to get frequent updates on my car and all they would say is "I'll call you back once I know something." And would they call? No. They not only lack communication with me, but with each other. The receptionist would tell me that my car would be done on Friday, I would go in to pick it up and they then tell me to wait until Monday. I go in on Monday and then they tell me Friday, I go in Friday and it's still not done. They tell me Monday again and today, is Monday, I went in and now they're telling me Wednesday. I have a life outside of my car. I need my car. This place has been dicking me around for 2 months now and it's frustrating. Not only that, but one of the receptionist is extremely rude. I called at 9am once and she word for word said "DIDNT I TELL YOU TO CALL IN THE MORNING" super puzzled because I did call in the morning, 9am.. and she never not once told me to give her a call at a specific time. My dad is a mechanic, and he agrees that this place is trying to stretch out the time my car actually needs to be here to try and finesse money out of my insurance company. Long story short, just don't bring your car here. Had my car not been towed here, I would've gone elsewhere anyhow. Would give this place zero stars if I could. I made a huge mistake ever taking my car to these people. Over 3 months of waiting. The car I got back was NOT the car I brought in. Well most of it was, but what these hacks did totally turned a beautiful car into a disaster. Rear axle was still bent, they never fixed the torn exhaust pipe, a dent in a hood they replaced. Kasey M......just to let you know i explained the procedure to get your vehicle repaired...first of all you were told we were looking for rims and tires for your vehicle, as our practice we don't drag vehicle up the flatbeds...and your vehicle was behind a house....i kept you updated on the process along with your insurance company.so you saying you didn't hear from us was a lie.and i dont believe the insurance company said we were rude..lying gets you know where....i call all my customers dailey with updates..but you were not patient and wanted it done right away talk about being rude and condescending.. we had to order tires and rims for your vehicle, we do not stock them and again you were told the procedure....i am sorry we could not go out as soon as you called....lesson learned nothing happens asap in life...... read more

I was assigned to Arlington Auto Body by my insurance company after my car was vandalized. From the first moment I contacted the shop, the person who answered the phone was condescending and rude. She assured me, however, that they would tow my car to their shop in the next 1-2 days. After not hearing from them for a few days, I called back and was assured they would pick it up that day. Three more days later without any contact from Arlington, my car was still sitting outside of my house. I called my insurance company to be reassigned to a different shop. The insurance agent then called Arlington on my behalf. After placing the call, the insurance agent reported to me that they were rude on the phone with him as well, but that they would be there by the end of the day (day 7 after I was assigned to the shop). Not surprisingly, they never showed or even called. I was finally reassigned to another shop on day 8 and the other shop got the car towed and fixed within 3 days. There is a possibility that Arlington might do great work on cars, but the customer service was so bad that it was impossible for me to even find out. I would not waste your time dealing with them. read more
