FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR$ for one two-hour appointment. Her follow up appointments are $780.00 per hour and 3-6 weeks apart. Plus thousands of dollar$ more for her 'lab tests' and 'supplements'. In a just one year, the math is the 'tell'... $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 Dollars.... And no insurance. I cannot comprehend what appears to be an shocking disregard for decency. I had a doctor at the ER that with all the tests done and the same info I shared, he did not give me the right antibiotic. I had a serious infection and high fever for a week and he doubled the antibiotics I had before I went to the ER... yes, and was charged 1k after insurance. Dr. Ortiz Saved another trip to the emergency room or something worse. I would take a good doctor even if it meant having to deal with some issues with the staff, it might just be uncomfortable to be in that position if you are in need of efficient staff. If you are, the manager resolved my issues when they were escalated, she was kind and made sure everything was okay.

If that sounds like a long time, (a) you don't understand medicine, (b) you haven't been suffering long enough. What a wonderfully warm woman. The staff was very friendly and seemed to make everyone feel welcome. The doctor was equally friendly and took the time to talk with me and come up with a solution to my problem. He didn't throw a bunch of unnecessary medications at me, giving me just the one prescription he felt I needed. This was a welcome change from doctors I've been to years ago who'd prescribe all sorts of stuff that I didn't need. Anyhow, good staff and a good doctor, well worth the drive from NE San Antonio. The only thing that would probably lead me to give it a 4.5 was the fact that he was about 30min late for the visit. But considering they got me a same day appointment, I don't suppose I can complain much.

After seeing her one time she announced by sending out a letter that in order to be a patient of hers you had to pay an annual $1,800 fee plus she takes insurance. If you pay this fee then apparently you will get calls back and extra special treatment. Seems like this should be illegal.
