He's been my doctor for over thirty years. Never lets me down. Sends me to a specialist if he feels that's what I need to do.

At Dr. Gilcrease's office, they could care less about the patient. The entire stuff has a lunch…read morefrom 11am to 1pm that isn't outlined in their hours at all. So really they are only open 5 hours a day and close at 5pm. Which is not only unorganized but inconsiderate of others as well (take your lunches one at a time like any other customer service location). They are incredibly rude expect Jessica, she's great, but she isn't running the practice as a whole. Dr. Gilcrease himself has told me to my face that my needs arent important to him. They want to get you in and out without discussing the probelm as a whole. So incredibly hard to get what you need from them. So glad I don't need a medication for anything life threatening, I would die with their care. Sometimes it's weeks before they can even talk to you about when you can get your medication. Jessica is great, love how she recommends natural products as well I as prescriptions. However, I'm not sure how this practice is still open though, or still uncareingly opperates like this without any regard for others.

His old staff was super nice, but his front desk girls are horribly mannered. My appointments always get cancelled. They never answer the phone or remember to turn on answering service. My family and I are fed up. I have no idea how they get by with horrible follow-up, but their google reviews aren't much better.

The most basic of all of your healthcare decisions is who you want your provider to be. I've been a…read morepatient here for about 5 years and have had a couple of different doctors during that period. Unfortunately, both have left Seton, with the most recent one just having departed on 1/1/19. Seton notified me in a letter dated 11/27/18. Here are pertinent points from that letter: "* If you currently have an appointment scheduled after December 31st with Dr. XXXX, one of our staff will contact you to reschedule with another Seton physician, and ensure the smooth transition of your care. * We are also pleased to announce that XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD, Family Medicine will be relocating to Seton Family of Doctors at Hays and accepting new patients beginning January 14, 2019. * Alternatively, please feel free to contact us, (512) 504-0855, if you have any questions, would like to obtain a copy of your patient record, or choose to arrange transfer of your records to another physician." I didn't have an appointment scheduled but needed one so I called. I told them who I would like to see at the practice and they told me "no." They assured me that the letter clearly explained that I had to see the new doctor at the practice. I told them that them letter said nothing of the sort. Never mind the fact that I was due for a follow up before the new MD was seeing patients. I guess they figured a couple of weeks wasn't a matter of life and death. They were insistent. They were complete a--holes. And they still are. If you want any say in your care, go elsewhere. The one thing you will not find here is caring about what you want.

We lucked out when we found the Seton Family of Doctors at Hays. We started out with Dr. Clampitt…read morewho moved to Colorado, and then found Dr. Valla. She is fantastic and we're glad to have her as our Primary Care Physician. She is the definition of what a Primary Care doctor should be. She familiarizes herself with your whole medical history and determines if you need to be examined further by a specialist. Then I found Dr. Wenzel... probably the very best Endocrinologist I've ever met. I left my last Diabetes doctor because I only saw the actual doctor twice in the year-1/2 I went there. Dr. Wenzel was very thorough, spent a good amount of time with me, and was kind enough to phone me (on a Saturday morning) to deliver the results of my lab work. Unbelievable! Needless to say. He's the ONLY endocrinologist I ever want to see. It's not just the wonderful Doctors at Seton, but also the Staff. From Reception to Nurses and PAs, you feel welcomed and cared for every visit. They also have their own Lab on site and it sure beats going to one of those places where you wait for a long time just to give a little blood. The Phlebotomist is the best I've ever seen. Never a bruise or sting. Smooth as glass. Seton also has the very best Patient Portal I've ever seen. It's easy to get a message to or from the Doctors, manage appointments, pay bills, and view test results. I just love this Medical Team and am happy to live close enough to use them exclusively.

I came in for a routine physical, as I recently received health insurance for the first time in 10 years (God bless America). Mossburg discussed my health in an intelligent and friendly manner with laptop in hand, taking detailed notes. At first, I was caught off guard by her incessant typing while maintaining steady eye contact and asking thoughtful questions. I appreciated it afterwards, though, as she leaves you with a thorough report of your condition along with the steps taken and those recommended. If you get any lab work done, she also leaves a detailed recorded message on a coded phone system thing that you call in to hear your results. Very cool and convenient. The office isn't new or fancy but tries with the faux wood flooring and Pier 1 wall art. Forget the office--good doctors are hard to find, and Mossburg's a good one.

Not once did I ever take a family member to her and she not ask how we were doing and about our personal lives she would remember and bring things up we discussed about them to. Unfortunately, she took personal leave a couple of years ago and I never got my chance to be cared by her and I have medical concerns...it's hard finding a physician you trust and you like. I don't think we will find anyone better than her (she reminded me of my childhood doctor we had for many years) but I'm sure we will find someone up to par.
