I've bought birds from PetSmart, Tropical Kingdom and now Arizona Parrots and I have to say this has been one of my most favorite and treasured experiences in my life. Bruce was awesome, and very knowledgeable. The birds were all beautiful and well taken care of. He coached us before we left, and is open to our questions. He even offers classes and I'm hoping to take them as soon as possible. Overall, I cannot recommend Arizona Parrots enough! Definitely 10/10 experience, and worth every penny. So excited about having expanded our flock with Arizona Parrots!

I posted this on a FB bird group i belong to. You may want to rethink purchasing from him. Friday the 10th I drove to Tucson to pick up a 5/6 week old Sun Conure from the same breeder I purchased Pickles from. I arrived about 8:50a and called to let her know I was there. Cindy had him in a carrier and we had a discussion advising me what time she fed him formula and other food he was eating. I signed the paperwork and before I left she said he had a "scratch" on his beak from one of his parents so that was why he was pulled from the nest. When I got Pickles I asked for a disabled bird and that is what I came home with. I was told the baby had a "scratch" on his beak. I said that was OK, a scratch I can live with. I was an hour away from home so i stopped to give him a little water. I was shocked at what I saw and immediately sent a picture of his beak to Cindy and a text that I don't think I should pay full price. The text I received back "what is that?" She called and asked me again what was it and I told her it was a closeup picture of his beak. She said she didn't know it was that bad and she was sorry because she didn't look at it and she would never sell a bird like that. She apologized numerous times and said she would never sell a bird like that. I asked her if she had another baby and she said she had a couple of babies that were older and she knew that I wanted to hand feed a baby. She said she needed to check and see if she had any babies that were ready to go and she'd call me back. She called and what she had are too young and needed to stay with their parents a bit longer. She said about a week to a week and a half i could pick up a baby. She didn't want me to drive back to Tucson and empty handed and then drive back to pick up a baby. She wanted me to keep him and when the babies are ready to go I could bring him back. Let me sum this up even though there is a lot more to it. I sent a message saying I think $400 is a fair price due both sides of his beak had been hurt. I said he would need vet visits and his beak groomed. I got a call from Bruce he said I could keep him and he would give me $100 towards another bird or I could return him and get a baby I wanted. He said I was told about the beak, no I was told about a scratch. He said the contract stated the beak issue. The contract does not state anything about the beak. He told me he would get Cindy in the phone conversation tomorrow and he hung up. I went thru the messages from Arizona Parrots and I've come to the conclusion that Bruce and Cindy KNEW of Stitches injury and sold him as a bird with no disabilities. They stated in the FB message that Stitch was being handfed twice a day. They sent me a picture of him and stated he did not have any disabilities and was selling him for $640 When I picked up Stitch, Cindy told me he had a "scratch" on his beak from his parents and this is why she pulled him out of the nest. I started thinking about the messages and what she said. Message "he was still being fed 2xs a day" To me that means he had already been pulled from the nest. So they knew something was wrong with Stitches beak and passed it off as a "scratch". The picture they sent me you can see the issue. Zoom in and focus on his beak. Since they never told me about his beak in the messages I wouldn't have known to look for the "scratch" UPDATE: I took Bruce Enderle/Arizona Parrots and Cindy Salyers to small claims court. I present pictures, documents, text messages, phone logs, detailed driving log.. everything that I had I prepared for the judge. After it was all said and done the judge ruled for Arizona Parrots / Bruce Enderle. She did this because of the contract I signed. I learned some HUGE lessons: Don't ever think that someone who was nice (Bruce and Cindy) to you won't screw you if given the chance! Always always always check and recheck EVERYTHING!! Just because Bruce is a breeder does not mean he CARES for his birds. He is in business to make money, even if he and Cindy lie about what they do and what they say. Yeah, I've learned my lesson. Stitch goes back to Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital next week to get his beak checked. I know the vet will be happy seeing how its healing.

New birds preening and watching tv

If I could give a zero star I would. I had the exact same experience as David W. They saw a sucker coming. I was up front that I knew nothing about birds and wanted to learn. I paid extra for lessons and was taught an archaic way that does not foster a trusting relationship with the bird. I paid for a 12 week old hand tamed bird and the vet informed me that I had an old wild breeder bird. Do not go here. I had to rehome the bird with an amazing breeder and now have two young tame birds

This is the female, which I thought was a male

If I could leave a 0 review for Bruce the knowledgeable bird man, I would leave a zero review. He sold me a female which he claimed was acting more like a male. I wanted a male and he knew this so he lied just to get a sale. He also claimed his birds were all hand tamed, big fat lie too. The bird he sold me is so not tamed. She has bitten me in the face several times. She's trying to kill my male who is so stressed out to be around her. He's a con artist and a crook. He literally stole money from me and gave me something I was not looking for. His birds are caged up in a tiny cage with 3 birds cooped up in it. Poor birds. He's all about getting your money. I asked him to take her back because she is familiar with him but he said she's yours now. I asked him to take her back and just give me a baby I can tame. What a shame. Now I have to adopt her out. Do not do business with this man. He's horrible!!!!!!!
