About a month ago I went on a trip and required care for my 3 dogs and 2 cats. I've seen how caring Ray is with her own dog, Clyde. She listens to everything he says to her through his body language, and she is able to intuitively understand his needs or preferences. This is the exact kind of person I want watching my animals while I am away, because I know that they understand and respect animal behavior. From the very beginning of the process, Ray was incredible to me and my animals. She was very thorough in getting to understand my animals needs before I ever even left. She asked a lot of questions that helped me feel very secure that she had my animals true best interests at heart. The entire time I was gone, I received consistent and detailed updates from Ray, and this was so amazing for me !! I really received so much joy being able to have a window into my doggies and kitties worlds while I was away, and knowing that they weren't upset or uncomfortable without me made it so much easier for me to relax and be present where I was. I highly recommend Ray as a petsitter for your pet. As a veterinarian who's owned cats my whole life, I've seen and experienced a variety of petcare. Forgotten visits? Never with Ray. She's always reliable and trustworthy. Continuous struggles to pill my cat, resulting in a stressed-out cat upon my return or even worse, missed doses? Again, never with Ray! She's wonderful! I showed how to give my ailing cat pills, how to give her injections, and how to do an inhaler on my other asthmatic cat, and Ray managed it all so well. They were thriving and happy upon my return. With other petsitters, I return to find my cats agitated, clamoring for attention, and I can see they've felt cooped up and isolated. But with Ray, they're their usual sweet selves. She commits to spending time with them, so they have human contact and socialization. Truly excellent pet care! Right in the heart of Stanford University, Palo Alto, is an accessible, affordable, kind, and informed pet sitter. I had a new job, and desperate for some pet sitting for my slightly blind mini Poodle. I found Ray online on Yelp, and was very satisfied with her pet care. I had never met Ray before. I instinctively felt she was very kind and compassionate toward animals. She is training to become a vet as well, so is knowledgeable about animals. Her own small dog is gentle and curious, and you can tell he is well looked after. This is the most important thing I look for in a pet or child care person. Can they relate to animals, and what is the mental and physical state of their own pet? If their own pets are well fed, look healthy and alert, and give no signs of pent up emotions and stress, I am happy. Ray took in my dog at short notice, and was flexible with my work hours on two jobs. This was a home based pet care, no cages or prisons like some scary places. Ray walked my dog daily on the lovely hill and wooded trails nearby, sent photos, and gave him eye meds on schedule. In a short time, her dog and mine were buddies, and it was like a play date. The other adult in the house was very sweet with my dog as well. When I would come home, my dog would look at me as if to say, "Its okay... I don't need to leave right now!" The only issue I had was that it got a bit hot on some summer days inside the house. Brian walked our dog, numerous times, without any issue whatsoever. His girlfriend (and business- partner), Ray, entered our routine, and here we are. It began with Ray sending my wife inappropriate texts messages complaining about the food we feed our dog. Ray admitted that she switched our dog food, without our permission, and she was angered by the fact that we, again, purchased the same brand we've purchased for years. Ray later shamed my wife, by text, writing: "I want to make it abundantly clear that our interest in [Dog's] nutrition comes from that for so long he has appeared malnourished and has sustained injuries due to that. Maybe it is not my place, but I am educated and offer . . ." [She accuses us of not taking care of our dog and injuring him.] She later writes: "We know [Dog's] needs aren't met" and "this needs serious discussion." Unfortunately, there's more, but I will refrain. Ray's out-of-line comments and behavior were appalling for two reasons. First, our family, and my wife in particular, didn't deserve it. My wife is a working Mom, who takes excellent care of our entire family, which includes our wonderful dog. Notably, this is the second rescue dog we've had in 10 years. Second, everything Ray said was 100% wrong. Our dog is not malnourished, nor have we "injured" him. Just a few months ago, in fact, we took our dog to the Veterinarian who instructed us to reduce our dog's food by a quarter cup each meal. Further, the dog food that Ray unilaterally switched (without our permission) has been banned by at least one local pet shop because it contains carcinogens. After Ray reduced my wife to tears, I called Brian and asked him if he could intervene by asking Ray to back-off and for them to simply walk our dog. We had a fine conversation, and I thought we hung up the phone understanding each other. Five minutes later, he calls me back with Ray in the background commenting. He advised me that she made the decision to drop us as a client. No apology - just rudeness and unprofessionalism. You should never trust Ray with your dog or in your home. The arrogance and lack of humility is unreal. If she wants to be a Veterinarian, she should do so, but we were paying her to walk our dog. She accessed parts of our home, without permission, and unilaterally changed our food. She was abusive to my working wife, and didn't have the class or decency to apologize before terminating us. Wunder Dog Canine Services is horrible, and we may file a lawsuit so that others do not have similar experiences. read more

I started working in Palo Alto last February and was commuting from Berkeley. Ray has been a life saver and very generous with her time when it was needed. I eventually moved down here and we're all on a normal pickup drop schedule. Ray has been extremely reliable and steady. Occasionally informs me well in advance of any changes that might be occurring the following week. My dog loves her and he seems to be living it up every day, going to various parks around the area. Changing jobs and moving at the same time is enough to worry about, but I've never had to worry about what the dogs going to be doing. read more

Best dog walkers ever!!!!! Almost every day I get a photo and/or video of my dog having the time of her life with her doggy pals and Ray and Brian. Ray and Brian are the most wonderful dog walkers/minders ever! Previous to using Wunderdog Canine Services, I used to check my dog Beau into the Wag hotel. Beau is totally blind and requires guidance and ongoing support. When I collected him from the wag hotel he was totally frazzled and scared. I feel so lucky to have found Wunderdog Canine Services, now when I get home my little doggy is so so happy. Ray and Brian not also take my dog for a walk but they also help me train him how to go up and down steps and other amazing commands that are so helpful to a blind dog. They are helping me learn how to socialize him with other dogs, they have this amazing doggy dar care that Beau really loves and he gets to hang around with other dogs and play. I soon have to travel for 3 weeks and I am confident to leave Beau with Ray and Brain for the whole time, and know I will come home to a happy, well looked after doggy. Where as before with the Wag hotel I would be coming home to pick up a very traumatized little doggy and would take me a while to get him back to his beautiful playful self. I am writing this from Portugal and feeling great knowing that my Coton dog, Emi, is in the best possible hand. This is the second time that dog trainer Ray Luby is keeping Emi for an extended period of time - 10 days to be exact. With Ray I know that Emi gets all the loving attention she needs - and absolutely no separation anxiety from me which she has had in the past. She is walked and plays with other dogs more than when I am with her, and the best part is not only am I getting a very reliable sitter but Emi is being trained every day! She is becoming a much much better walker and her reactivity towards other dogs has decreased significantly. Ray has also kept in regular touch with me via email updating me on Emi's behavior and activities. Knowing that I have Ray allows me to travel without any concerns whatsoever - in fact I think I will leave more often just to give Emi her own vacation! read more
