5 stars for the clothes and the fantastic floor staff who helped me and my mom out this past Saturday. 1 star for the horrendous experience I had with one of the women from the Corporate office who we had a bad encounter with. Thus I am compelled to give this place 1 star because their corporate team needs to get their sh*t together. Let me set the scene.. I live in San Francisco I don't see my family often.. so when I do I make the most of it. Me and my mom made a special mother-daughter drive into Boston this past Saturday to go to Aritzia. We spent at least 2 hours in your store, pulling beautiful clothes off the racks and trying things on. I was super impressed with the attentiveness and the customer service that your floor staff provided to us, especially in the dressing room. Your store was busy, but I would have never known it because all of the ladies working at Aritzia were SURE to attend to us. They were constantly asking if we were ok and bringing us different clothing options and sizes. As we were trying things on my mom asked one of the ladies in the fitting room if they would hold our stuff for us because we had other shopping to do at the mall (we would pay for everything first), and also if she cold keep her new 100% silk dress on a hanger. The request to which one of the staff said "No problem, just ask for CP at the cashier". I would come to later find, CP or Caroline, was a manager from the corporate office. Needless to say, I was on a shopping high, enjoying time with my mom! I was excited because we both found a ton of items we loved and took up to the cash wrap to buy. Our items totaled just under $700, quite a significant amount to spend in one trip. CP (Caroline) was ringing us up. "If it's ok, we will pay for everything and then come back and get the items", we requested. "No problem" Caroline replied. My mom went on to make a further request, "If you don't mind, could we please keep my new dress on a hanger so it doesn't get wrinkly". Now this is where the trouble started. Caroline, or CP went on to state how she "can't do that because they cannot give hangers out". She went on to explain her reasoning and excuses for why they can't give us a hanger. She literally spent 10 minutes arguing and explaining to us why she couldn't give us a hanger. I was shocked. Wait a minute, myself and my mother have made this request before and not one store has ever told me no. Here we are about to drop $700 at your store and YOUR MANAGER FROM CORPORATE is telling is that she can't give us 1 measly hanger to keep a dress on? Now here is my issue, this kind of reasoning has to come from corporate. If the corporate office communicates to employees that CUSTOMER SERVICE trumps everything... that is what should matter. Does a hanger that probably cost you 10 cents really matter to you that much? I have to say that Caroline and this experience did put a damper in our perception of Aritzia. My mom was almost ready to say "Forget everything". Can you imagine losing a $700 sale over one measly hanger? Finally Caroline gave us a hanger but she made us feel like we were making some ridiculous request.. it was actually quite embarrassing and I felt bad for my mom. I could have easily gone to Neiman's, Saks or Nordstrom, purchased similar items and had a much different encounter. This makes me really sad because I do love your clothes but it seems like client service is not a top priority for you. Can you help explain to me why this happened? read more

Please read the return policy before you purchase !!!!This store has the worst return policy! Buyer beware! If you bought anything here on Black Friday as a gift you CANNOT get your money back! Really!! 14 days from shipped date gets you a store credit!!Not your money.... Not the day you get it, or the day you give it as a present, but the day you receive an email. My presents arrived 6 days later. So if I don't return it in a week?!? I can't get anything back?!? Nada. Nothing. Crazy. I wonder if this is even legal in Massachusetts ??!! I'm completing this review of the new store in Prudential Center here in Boston for my fiancé. She liked the motif and the clothing lines; however she didn't get ANY customer service from the team. Case in Point: Upon entering the store she wasn't welcomed by the associate standing there, but the associate instead greeted a "caucasian" female directly next to her. This sort of treatment continued as she shopped through the establishment. When she left the store she conveyed to me her treatment. I asked her to go in again to see if it was a fluke or not. Sadly enough, the same exact thing happened. It seems that "Aritzia" needs to train their associates on proper sale techniques and what "lifetime customer value" means. Boxing Day is the busiest day of the year, and I was overwhelmed with the amazing costumer service and support! I walked around the store with items in my hang and the sweetest girl named Jazzy, she took all my stuff and made certain that I didn't have to many stuff in my hand at a time. She checked in on me time after time and she even added beautiful stuff to my pile so I could get direction and some ideas of what to wear with items which was incredibly helpful and kind. The staff in change room were also incredibly nice to get me new sizes and opinions. When a table got cleared at the Earls next door, they were so understanding and immediately said I could hold my stuff and try them in after lunch. Especially on Boxing Day, a very stressful day for them and me, it was certainly a breath of fresh air to hear this. Although Aritzia is pricy (as is everything in the prudential centre lol), they're clothing items are very nice and worth it. If I wasn't just visiting Boston I would for-sure come back to this Aritzia. Thanks Jazzy and everyone who worked the Boxing Day sale! read more

Nice store and good clothes, but the staff seems to be overwhelmed at the check-out. The store manager was rude/arrogant. Maybe it is because of the busy Christmas season... But for this price level, i expect a better customer service... Also: employees should not be buying something for themselves when there is a waiting line of customers. read more

Today my experience at this store was mentally scarring. I was fat shamed at this store immediately after walking in. I was glancing at the sweatshirts and told my size could be found behind me even though the right size was in my hand. The employees glanced my friend and up and down the entire time we were inside. There was whispering and giggling in the dressing room after the customer is forced to walk out in front of everyone in order to view themself in the shared mirror for public judgement. This experience will forever haunt me and my confidence. Those employees should be shameful of their actions and re-consider their place of work. read more

Aritzia Boston, why don't you pick up your phone? EVER? I did not have a good experience here. No one helped me whatsoever and when I made a return I got no receipt. It's been six days and the money is still not in my account, and corporate can't help until the Boston store emails them back and then talks to accounting. When I told corporate that I couldn't seem to reach the Boston store, the girl I spoke to even said, "oh yeah, they're horrible at answering their phones". EVEN the CORPORATE people are aware of this. I have worked in retail on and off for 7 years and I was trained better than Aritzia trains their employees. I worked at stores just as if not more expensive than Aritzia and I was trained to keep an eye out to help customers and always pick up the phone before the third ring. When people are paying this much for clothes you'd think the training would match the price. So, I'll just sit here waiting for $311.00 to one day make it back into my bank account, if the store ever gets back to me. read more

I recently visited urban outfitters only to find that the fabrics were cheap and everyone was five years younger than I am. Eek! But if I've aged out of urban, I've aged into Aritzia (except for the price point. That's still a struggle.) This store has decent quality fabrics, restrained color palettes, and pants that can work in an office setting. The lack of mirrors in dressing rooms is a bummer--some clothing attempts should never be shared--but it gives you a chance to get styling advice. One staff member showed me how to rebutton the straps on a dress so that they would criss-cross, completely changing the fit. Another recommended mixing a mustard top with pink pants and a chambray I already owned. I would never, ever have thought to mix mustard and pink, but it's already my new favorite outfit. Horrible staff. Went to return some things I received as gifts for Christmas as well as a sweater I bought for myself before Christmas today. I brought them up to the register and the woman working there could not figure out how to use the scanner. I was in no rush and did not mind waiting. She told me that she was putting them back on a gift card because they were way past the two week return policy, I said that I had bought them during the extended holiday return policy. She stated again that there was a two week return policy, I said I needed them back on my debit card and my parents credit card. She called over the manager who told me that their holiday return policy was only until 12/31, I pointed out it was 12/28 and then she instructed the sales girl to "just put it on the cards." Even though I asked the sales girl to put the clothes back on the two cards they came on she only put it on one card. I pointed this out and she said "please don't make this anymore difficult than it needs to be, you've caused a line behind you" I said that part of it was my parents money and part was my own so I needed it on separate cards and she said "it's going to be very hard to ask Daddy for more money isn't it?" I have been shopping at Aritzia for years now, mainly in the Toronto locations. Tonight when my sister and I decided to grab some gelato at Eately, we decided to stop by Aritzia at the Prudential Center to check out the sale since it was on the way. I had grabbed a top (that was $110) and a pair of shorts whereas my sister had found a dress she loved but was not her size. We approached checkout where she asked if they had a different size. The cashier seemed self-righteous and bothered that we asked her and said no i don't believe so but you can try the dress on in a different color in that size. She didn't once look us in the eyes and just arrogantly pointed to a direction. I was extremely perplexed that no sales associate, as there were three behind the cash register, would walk us to the dress. My sister, awkwardly went over and browsed through and helped herself to the dressing room. Meanwhile, I went to pay for my items. I ended up deciding against the top and had told the cashier. She precedes to give the shorts I had to a sales associate to put back and was about to ring up the top when I said "...oh wait, I mean I don't want the top anymore, but I'll take the shorts." She challenged back and said no you said you wanted the top... and preceded to roll her eyes. At that point, I was extremely upset that no one in the store wanted to help us or show any sort of decent customer service. I believe I seemed visibly upset and the cashier then goes "How's your night going? ... You need to smile more." I was extremely taken back by the fact a sales associate working is customer service would give me such a snarky comment in the mannerism that she said it in. I just kind of looked at her back and was like uhhhh. Another sales associate behind the cash register said "I guess not" and laughed. The cashier checking me out preceded to check me out. Tossed a pen down, and said "sign." She threw my receipt in the bag and walked away. It seemed like every single sales associate working that night did not care about making sales but rather getting off their shift. I am very happy that I did not spend $110 on that shirt. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Aritzia. I have shopped at Aritzia for years and years and it has been my favorite brand. I have always gone into Aritzia's in Montreal and Toronto and received exceptional service. Now that I have moved to Boston, I will no longer step into that Aritzia and will bring my money elsewhere. I love the clothes, as I have spent thousands of dollars on their clothes, they aren't cheap. read more

Horrible experience trying to make a return today. The saleswoman I spoke to was incredibly rude to me and immediately combative based on nothing other than I wanted to make a return. I have frequently shopped here in the past but will not be back based on this unacceptable experience. Train your staff on customer communication. read more

I can't seem to stay away from this store! I'm trying to rebuild my closet a bit these days with some classic, stylish (not too trendy) and quality pieces.... and what can I say.... I wish Aritzia was my closet. A big bonus is that the girls that work there are so nice and down-to-earth. Every time I've been there someone has been willing to help me and give me their honest opinion when I've asked. Erin, Josselyn and Shanae are super helpful and cool! I'm really impressed with the knowledge of the salesgirls, as well as the selection of clothing, although it is on the pricey side (it is in the Pru, everything's expensive) I'd personally like to commend 2 of the salespeople, Erin and Flo. They're both just about the best there is, they really helped with advice since I didn't really know what I was looking for, it was a gift for my niece, they got right on my dilemma, and my niece love's what they picked out! read more

I love this store. I've been of a fan of the brand and their clothing for 5+ years and am so happy I no longer have to go to NYC to shop with them. While some might say their silhouettes are simple, that's the reason I gravitate towards them. They're look is Club Monaco meets Joie. Yes, their clothes are more expensive than H&M and Zara, but they last for years...something I can't say about my cheaper purchases. If you're someone who values quality over quantity, this is your jam. The ladies that work there are also very lovely and accommodating. read more
