It's difficult to write a negative review. Here was my experience with BodyRevive…read more I was looking to find a couples massage class where my wife & I could learn effective massage techniques for use at home. When I found exactly that on the BodyRevive website, I sent a request for info through the website. I didn't hear anything for a few days, so I decided to call during business hours. The first time I called, I spoke with Phyllis who told me all about the couples massage class. I requested an appointment date & time and she said she would get back to me to let me know if that would work. After a few more days, no call back. I then called and left voice messages 3 or 4 more times over the course of 2 weeks. In my last voice message, I even quoted her outgoing voice message back to her where she says that voice messages will be returned within 24 hours. My messages were kind & forgiving, even asking if there was a conflict with the date I had chosen or if she had some kind of situation come up where she couldn't accommodate. Unfortunately, none of my messages were returned. I'm left with nothing but a mystery. It would be my great pleasure to remove this review if Phyllis would just reply and try to make things right with me. She has such great reviews from everyone else; I would like to join in their chorus! For now, I'm giving BodyRevive a 2 because they have a great website, offer great services, have many enthusiastic 5-star reviews, and Phyllis was very professional to speak with on the phone. Beyond that, I'm very disappointed. -CP

Phyllis is a great masseuse, very professional and she really knows her stuff. I first met Phyllis…read moreas my masseuse at a high end La Jolla sports club where I paid over $100 for a 50-minute massage. Discovering Phyllis only works there part time I did a little investigative work (a la Google) and found she has her own practice. Woo hoo! I'm so glad I found her, and my wallet thanks her for her affordable pricing! She even offers a discount if you have insurance. I've had massages at all kinds of places, from small studios to high-end resort spas, and sometimes I don't know what I really paid for. Phyllis is definitely one of the best (if not the best) masseuse I've ever had! On top of that, she offers massage at very reasonable prices ($65 an hour). Right now, she is even offering a deal so you get 5 massages for the price of 4! One of the things I really like is that Phyllis always gives you a full hour (or more!) - your time starts when you're on the table. She gives you the 4-star resort treatment using aromatherapy oils, massage lotion, warm towels and the like. She'll even heat the massage table which I appreciate. You'll feel like you're on vacation! She also offers you tea or water and organic fruit after the massage and asks for feedback or constructive criticism. Who does that these days? While her massages are a deal you definitely don't get jipped on the service! When I just want a good massage and don't need the extra amenities that you pay for at a resort spa, Body Revive Wellness is perfect! You can afford to treat yourself to a quality massage more often at these prices.

Jess is great at hearing your concerns and then figuring out a way to troubleshoot your body to solve those concerns, which is truly amazing. Perfect example, at times, my muscles fight Jess when she tries to get in with her hands/elbow so she will attack me with cups bc my muscles won't fight them (the tricks that must be done bc my body is stubborn ). Beyond glad I found Jess, she is an amazing human and she has saved my body from itself. I'm pretty sure my back muscles had plans to turn into cement and she has delayed that from happening lol.

She helped release those troubled areas, though it was slightly painful, it was needed and also did some mild cupping to my back, without leaving a bruise. Very kind and knowledgeable, she knows her anatomy! At the end, she gave me a few suggestions and tips. Wish there was one located in the Bay Area near me.
