During this time, I have tried everything to deal with my pain: every over the counter remedy, acupuncture, facet injections, physical therapy, alexander method, svaroopa yoga, rolfing, and many more I have since forgot. I have tried every pain medication, including pot and alcohol. At times I have considered suicide. It was that bad. I have all the "s's: Scoliosis, Spondolisthesis, Sciatica, Spinal Stenosis, and probably some other "s's" yet to be named. I am only 58 yrs old but I have the body of a 30 year old. Only my spine holds me back, and I've had to give up many outdoor activities I love. I was cleared for fusion surgery but I know that is the end of the line for many patients, and I was not ready to go there. My wife learned of Margaret through social media and I thought "why not." When I first met her, she was careful not to promise miracles. She asked me to call a patient of hers that had similar problems - that guy told me "Margaret saved my life." Turns out by coincidence I recognized this guy as someone I knew - as if it was a sign. Being on Margaret's table will give you insight into a professional with indescribable powers: I think Margaret could put her hand on my lower back and tell me what I've done the past 24 hours. Her touch is that perceptive. Margaret gave me insight into my condition that dozens of the best trained doctors failed to see: that my muscles were hyper-contracted and holding my sciatica nerve hostage (in a manner of speaking). The muscle was pulling my spine out of alignment and pinching my nerve. There is a name for what I have: "piriformis syndrome." Giving my condition a name was a gift in itself but Margaret has given me so much more: including hope. After about a dozen sessions with her I have made a lot of progress. I have paired her treatment with an injection in my piriformis muscle to loosen it further. I am feeling much better now than ever before. I feel in control of my destiny. Let me tell you however that if you have a condition similar to mine, or any other condition where your muscles are tight or hyper contracted - it is hard work for Margaret to treat them. The hour on her table started as the most painful experience of my life, and don't expect Margaret to show too much sympathy. She is determined to help you and won't give in easily. Just when you think you can catch your breath on her table, she is poking you again and making you cry. I can say this is all worth it. I can also say that Margaret truly cares for her patients and wants them to both understand what she is doing and how you can improve on your own. Unlike chiropractors that may expect you to become dependent on them, Margaret will be happy to see you cured and back to your normal routines.

Like a lot of people I am DEATHLY afraid of needles, like to the point where I sometimes pass out because of it (LOL). She was so calm, and went really slow and made it a very comfortable situation. Let me tell you, you can barely feel the needle when it's inserted. She puts on relaxing music, a lavender eye pillow(by request). And ends with a nice neck massage. The more and more I go, I like to try new things. I've been doing "cupping". Which kind of hurts a little at first, but then is like a massage once you get over the pain. I'm obsessed with it! I've been having this dull pain in my SI joint, so we worked on that the last appointment, the pain is GONE! He listens, has gentle touch, understands good customer service, and doesn't upsell. If I were a local, I'd be seeing Ronnie routinely for a full body massage. The spa is quite clean, quiet and well maintained. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. Michelle, another massage therapist, and I became fast friends just chatting. The new sauna could be a little hotter IMO, and the curtains in front of the door impede the glass door from closing. I think the seal for the door could use some attention. It's good for beginners to sauna or people who don't need it hot. I wish there were a timer or clock visible from the sauna. Relaxation room chairs: heat up, comfortable (with a lumbar pillow!), a cable knit throw, and a secret table. I love that spa appointments also give you access to the pool and jacuzzis. For Christmas, I gifted my 40 year old daughter a mother/daughter spa day. We are locals, but we…read morewanted to feel like we escaped for a day of pampering among beautiful grounds. We came a couple hours early for out 12:00 noon appointment, We were met by Marissa Edwards, an angel in our eyes. She made us feel like we were the only guest she's ever had. She, and her staff accommodated our every need and even some we didn't even know we needed! We had a "couples" massage by 2 fantastic masseuses, I thought I had signed up for 80 minute massages, but it turned out to be 50 minutes, when I selected a couples massage, they only do the 50 minutes, I missed that! We were still very satisfied. After the massages, we headed to the pool for lunch. Marissa had made sure we had extra care and the pool staff was amazing, food was good. The real reason I wanted to write a strong review is because Marissa Edwards went over-the-top in customer services with us. There are many other experiences we had, mostly with Marissa's doing. My daughter and I are keen on customer service, she exceeded every expectation, which is a rarity these days. Thank you Marissa for making a beautiful day so magical for my "girl" and me.
