I came here for pregnancy massages at both 34 and 37 weeks and had such a great experience! They have a special pregnancy pillow with a cutout for your belly, so I was actually able to comfortably lie on my stomach, which felt amazing that far along in pregnancy. Magdalena was my massage therapist both times and she was wonderful. I like firm pressure and she did an amazing job. I left feeling so relaxed and would definitely recommend her, especially for prenatal massages! read more

Vanessa gave me the best massage I have ever had! Will definitely be coming back in the near future!

This was truly a DEEP massage, very relaxing. I like the variety of style techniques they offer in their combo massage. Very worth, and they have later hours (6pm time slot), which is a plus for someone who has a typical 8-5 schedule. Plenty of street parking. Great service! I'll be sure to come back again. :) read more

My husband and I booked a couples massage here for my birthday. We decided a bit last minute, so were glad that they had availability for a 2 hour massage. Booking online was very easy. I appreciate the ability to see availability and select the masseuse ahead of time. Your card is partially charged at time of booking with the remainder charged after your service. Upon arriving, we were brought straight back to our room and quickly undressed and got under the sheets for our massages. They waste no time at all and we definitely were massaged for the full 2 hours. Garn and Apple were our massage therapists and they both got to work on our tight muscles and overall, the massage itself was very good. I haven't felt that loose after a massage in quite some time. My husband was a bit sore for a few days after (he was walked on, I wasn't), but I didn't experience the soreness I usually do after one. I do think that 2 hours was plenty of time and in the future, I'd probably just opt for 1 hour or 90 minutes. Our room was close to the front so we did hear any time the front door opened (even with the music playing). They also left our door open a bit for probably the last 30 minutes of our massage. During this time, they were moving our legs around (to our chest/head) causing the sheets to move about...so I really hope no one was walking by while doing that and got a show from me! Pricing was very reasonable and staff was very nice. It was our first time there, so a little introduction would have been nice when we arrived, but we quickly figured things out. Overall, I recommend Down to Earth if you're looking for a Thai massage! read more

I went to see Sarah and she was incredible! Truly one of the best massages I've had in a long time and will definitely be back!

I have been getting massages weekly for that last few years, I was in La Jolla on a business trip and was in Desperate need of a last minute massage because I had an extremely tight neck and back from LA to SD drive. Maily gave me the BEST massage I have ever had in my life! No exaggeration. My neck was so tight I couldn't turn my head without moving my body and after the massage I had zero pain and had full range of motion back and felt extremely relaxed. I normally get deep tissue massages and never had a traditional Thai Massage until today. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. I really appreciate the INTENT Maily put into relieving my neck pain too, I've never had a massage therapist put so much care into relieving the knots and really spend the time to work them out. I could go on forever about this place but long story short, try it for yourself or gift it to someone who needs a good stress relief ‍ Thank you Maily! I will definitely be returning next month and every time I'm in La Jolla. read more

I just had a Thai massage with Irene and I am so impressed. Granted, this was my first experience with a Thai massage at all, and the benefits are amazing. But also Irene was so very nice walking me through the stretches. If you have ever wanted to try a Thai massage, you should. And if you want to find some stellar experts in massage, book with Down to Earth. read more

Amazing massage for both me and my husband we will definitely come back!! Thank you Sarah and Miley!

Wow. This was a pleasant surprise. Had a pretty annoying knot in my trapezoid area so I looked for an available therapist on a Sunday and thankfully Maily was available. I was kind of ignorant to the fact that this was a Thai massage place that all also offers Swedish massage as well. I opted for the combo and I couldn't have been more grateful for how awesome it was! Maily was thorough and diligent and using all of the modalities available to her to alleviate my knots and pain eg , hot stones, cupping etc. I honestly had low expectations going in; I just wanted some relief. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

I had three massages here in my 4 days in California -- exquisite work. I'm a bit of a massage connoisseur, this is one of the best Thai massages I've had in the country. I had two massages with Ava -- 3 hours total. Very knowledgeable, capable lady, good listener, traditional Thai massage, she did a terrific job. I wish every Thai massage therapist was this good. She is SOLID! I had a two hour massage with Garn. If you want the hardest massage you've ever had -- Garn is for you! She is like the Thai version of Super Woman and Incredible Hulk. She is STRONG! Let me tell you, I've worked with some amazingly strong women -- and men. Garn has some of the strongest grips I've ever encountered. In some positions -- the kind of force I've felt from her -- I've never felt from anyone else ever. However, it's not meaningless force like with some therapists, she knows what she is doing. My biceps hurt like hell when she was doing it, she asked me if she wanted me to keep going and I said -- yes -- nothing hurt afterward, I felt great and she got some of the knots in my arms I didn't even know were there. She is a very good listener and will back off when you tell her so it's not one of those crazy massages but it was mind boggling how strong this lady is and how hard she works to get the tension out. Some of it hurt like hell when she was doing it but felt amazing afterwards, I felt like I was born again. I don't miss San Diego but I miss this massage place, there's no good Thai massage where I live. Ava is incredible Thai massage therapist and for some of the strongest massages you've ever had -- Garn is your lady! I wish I could see Garn again, she is in the top three of strongest massage therapists I've ever seen but she is very skilled, she gets the tension out, very deep tension. If you want the strongest massage -- Garn is your lady! I LOVE this place, wish we had something like this where I live. Will stop by every time I'm in La Jolla. read more

I'm a fan of Down To Earth. The online booking service is very easy to use and there aren't any issues booking same-day massages for those mornings when you wake up and are feeling the need to get a mid-morning massage. For those of us who have heavier physical training regimens, there are just some mornings that suck more than others, and it's nice to be able to spontaneously book a massage. The facility is straightforward: clean, peaceful, chill. I have found that Maily N does fantastic work, so I'm a return customer of hers. read more

Okay wow... my partner and I are visiting San Diego for a weekend get away. And to say we were both blown away by these amazing massages is an understatement. I've only got one massage before, and the one I received from Down to Earth massage is the best one I've gotten! They do a combo of Thai/Swedish, but more Thai practices overall. We booked a couples massage with Ava and Apple! They asked us what pressure we would like, and made us feel so comfortable to ask for more and less pressure if we needed it. They stepped on our backs and legs which felt amazing. Overall, Ava and Apple were so kind and made us so comfortable. read more

Best Real Thai Massage!!! While in La Jolla on business I desperately needed a deep tissue massage. After reading many great reviews I decided to book an appointment. Their website & scheduling tool is very user-friendly and Easy to navigate. They provide details on all the Massage specialists and their experience. I had the pleasure of Jarn being my message therapist and WOW... she's so amazing. My entire body was tight having not been able to turn my neck for weeks she worked everything out! I've had real thai massages in Thailand & Jarn definitely made me feel like I was there! Her technique is true to thai and she communicates well to ensure you are comfortable. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning when I visit LA Jollla again. Thanks Jarn! read more

Best massage ever! Ava was absolutely incredible! A master at her craft! I 100% recommend!

Saw the 5 star reviews and had to check out. Totally understand why now! Magdalena did wonders on my body, releasing a lot of stuck knots and left me in a state of bliss. Went in for a 90 mins and extended to 120 mins at the end because I didn't want to leave. Affordable prices, great bed, and overall wonderful experience. read more

Hands down the best massage in San Diego! Magda and Sara are both incredible.
