When I was seeking some relaxation on New Years Day, stumbled upon this place through word of mouth. I called to make an appointment and was told they were booked and to come at 4pm. Shortly after they called and texted me offering me to come in sooner. This is located across from Gelson's and next to the former original Oscar's location. The space was nice and clean and easy to find upon going up the stairs. The massage was really good, but my only gripe was loud music that was distracting possibly from local residence or the bar next door. With their reasonable pricing and great location with their skillful masseuses, I'll be back. read more

It was the best massage I've ever had! Coco was my masseuse. One of my friends has been going to this spa for a really long time and I finally got a chance to try it out today. I had a really stiff neck and I needed to feel better asap. I called a couple hours before to set an appointment for 7:30 PM once I got there. I didn't have to say anything to her. She already knew I was there for a 60 minute massage and I didn't even have to tell her that my neck was stiff it's like she knew and took her time around my shoulders and neck. Annie is by far the best masseuse. You could go to any of the major resort spas as I have, pay way too much, only to walk away disappointed because I always compare it to Annie. I drove 2 and a half hours from the desert just for my appointment with her! I have been going to her for over 5 years and I have followed her from her last 2 locations. She is so fluid in her motions and is so skilled at finding any tension in your body and working it out. This woman has magic healing hands. I love that I usually fall asleep and walk out of my massage feeling better than ever. I especially enjoy the hot stones and the hot towels. Don't underestimate this petite little thing, she gives a powerful combination of acupressure, Thai stretching, shiatsu, you name it. The first impression made me a little nervous because it seemed like an upstairs apartment next to a dive bar. However when I was led into the treatment room area, it was very aesthetically pleasing and my room was basic but nice. Coco gave me a deep tissue massage and it's like she read my mind. She was able to determine exactly where to focus pressure without me having to detail exactly where I needed it and I felt amazing afterwards. And I can't believe how inexpensive it was! First of all...I ordered a few different couples massages on Groupon for Valentines Day and majority of the places were packed, too expensive , or too far seeing that we have 2 small children at home with limited child care. This place is in La Jolla which was perfect for an hour of self care. I called the week of 2/14 and was able to set up an appointment for 12pm, and they were very accommodating! I have never left a review before but I genuinely feel like I should warn everyone. If you read other reviews you would think this place was awesome... it's not. First of all I could hear people shouting on all ends during the massage very strong cuss words and also other staff were constantly walking by my rooms door which was OPEN... while I'm laying exposed on the table. Weird little place. Got some attitude from one woman who works there who thought I didn't have an appointment. Once I was led to the back, I was given an extremely long time to disrobe. I massage therapist was very stingy with the oil so a lot of my massage was very dry. I also told her which side was in pain and she focus more on the opposite side it seemed. They also don't advertise that they charge a card processing fee which seems super shady. Overall probably wouldn't go back. read more

I came for a couples massage and loved it! Annie was my masseuse and she just knew where to apply pressure/focus on. She was extremely sweet and always made sure I felt comfortable. After my massage I felt so relaxed! The location was clean, and implemented preventative measures for COVID-19. I appreciated having our temperature take before entering. The prices are great! I'm very picky about massage and had a big experience having it in the different places and countries. This place I tried first time with my girlfriend when she visited me from chicago. We had girls day out and had a couple massage in the same room. She said it was the best one she had in her life:) I love it too a lot. Today I really needed stress relief and had the massage with Annie. It was very very good! She feels where I had more tension and helped me with it. I went here last night with twenty minutes notice and they were able to get me in. The lady that gave me a massage didn't speak very much English but she was fantastic! Her name is Coco. I've had a lot of mediocre massages at other places nearby and this one was ten times better! She does a variety of different things which I loved. She did acupressure, shiatsu, hot coals, tapotement, stretching, hot towels, head massage, and full body massage (ears, feet, butt, back, legs, neck, arms, hands, fingers, etc). This was hands down the best massage I've even had. I wish I could give 10 stars! I've had so many massages in my day and it's always the same run of the mill combinations. These ladies actually feel your body and focus on what you need. We did a couples massage and they each did totally different moves on us. The hot stones and hot towel were also a wonderful addition. Annie is wonderful! I go to her about every 2-3 weeks. She applies the right amount of pressure to get your knots and tense spots loosened but doesn't leave you feeling sore after like some places. She also stretches you , gives you a little face massage and uses hot stones. Truly the best massage. She also has a heating pad on the bed which is amazing if you're like me and get cold easily.
