You already know your girl loves a good massage -- and I don't discriminate. From foot reflexology to bougie $400 sessions and everything in between... I'm here for ALL of it. So of course, a massage was non-negotiable during our weekend escape -- and I'm so glad we made it happen. We tried to walk in Saturday around 2P and they were already fully booked for the day. Considering they're open until 9:30P, that told me everything I needed to know. Good sign. So we booked for the next morning. I've had plenty of Thai massages, but this was my bestie's first, so I had to give her the full rundown: stretching, body contortion, elbows, knees, feet -- the whole experience. No surprises over here. We were in the same room, but our massages were slightly different -- which makes sense because we hold stress in different areas. The therapists clearly adjusted their approach based on what our bodies needed. But trust -- we both got the full treatment: elbows, knees, feet, and all the stretches. The kind where you're basically turned into a pretzel... and somehow love every second of it. One thing that stood out for me -- I received cupping, and my bestie didn't. It wasn't something I specifically asked for, so it was a surprise, but definitely a welcome one. Just something to note -- it may be incorporated into your session. And for anyone unfamiliar, cupping is an old eastern method used to help release tension and improve circulation in areas where the body holds stress. I personally love it. At the end of it all, we both walked out feeling relaxed, stretched out, and reset. Would I come back if I'm in the area again? Absolutely. read more

Thai Style Massage - Poonsap CA massage therapist certificate - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

I had an amazing experience with Poonsap as my massage therapist. I scheduled a 90 minute deep tissue massage to help with muscle tightness and pain in my upper back and neck. Poonsap customized my therapy session based on my specific needs, modifying the areas of focus and pressure to best help me. She also incorporated cupping and hot stones. I feel so much better and have already booked my next session with her! read more

Diamond is amazing! I came in with issues in both legs and my hip area, and she completely turned things around. She got me all stretched out and by the time I left, I could walk without a limp for the first time in a while. What really stood out is how intuitive she is -- I barely had to say what was hurting. It felt like she could sense it in my body and knew exactly where to focus. She's also incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. The entire place is clean, the staff is welcoming and professional, and they check in on you throughout the session. This is hands-down the only place I'll go from now on. Highly recommend Diamond! read more

Honestly, the best massage I've had in quite some time. Lisa was amazing and found knots in my back I didn't even know existed. I think I walked out of there 5 years younger. Highly recommend this spot for a high quality, yet affordable massage. I definitely will be back! read more

I've been to many, many massage parlors ranging from Singapore to Hawaii. I went to Thai Style Massage with my husband for a 90 minute couples massage. *WALK IN & BEGINNING*: We called ahead to ensure a time we could walk in for a same day appointment. They gave us 10:30 AND they have free rear parking! The atmosphere was relaxing and Thai themed, dark and beautiful. Before we started, they had us fill out a paper that'll give them information on how we wanted our massage. I asked for a medium massage with extra focus on my neck, upper back, and my hands. My husband asked for a heavy massage with extra attention to his back. We also had the option to give them approval to walk on our backs. We gave them our massage papers and they led us into our room. Our room was well sized with our two beds and bars on the ceiling to help them balance when walking on backs. *THE MASSAGE*: The darkness of the room, the calming music, and the working hands of DIAMOND and AMY gave my husband and I the best massage experience yet! I don't think I'll get lucky enough to find another gem such as this. Both ladies look so small and sweet, but once they start working, their hands and feet become fierce! I've never, ever had such a thorough massage. Usually it's mostly a bunch of rubbing and a few muscle digs, but not at this establishment! They're going to make sure you feel every part and that's how you know it's a good massage. There wasn't anything I couldn't handle and my pain tolerance is super low. Since my husband asked for hard, boy did he receive! Amy shared a laugh with him saying many have a rough time going through with the hard selection, but he was able to take it all with no complaints. So if you ask for hard, just know Amy means business! For our 90 minute session, we paid $280 ($50 tip). Honestly not bad pricing compared to many I've seen. **THANK YOU DIAMOND AND AMY!!** If you want medium, ask for Diamond. Want hard? Ask for Amy. Beautiful work ladies, I hope you both continue to work there! We will be back!! P.s. The oils they use smell amazingg :) read more

I visit here frequently for the 90 minute massage. I always walk away totally relaxed and mellow. I get a mix of med-hard Swedish and Thai massages, sometimes with hot stones also. They'll walk on your back if you allow them to- I do. The outside of the building is unremarkable and plain, contrasting the nice waiting area. Everything is always clean there. read more

I had a 90 min massage with request for deep pressure. Poonsap was authentically friendly and accommodating to my requests! I get massages regularly and I would definitely request Poonsap as my therapist again! read more

We were on vacation and chose this place because of their five star reviews. Upon check in they give you a sheet to fill out to mark off the areas where your body needs work. My husband and I each got a massage, he asked for medium and I got a relaxing massage. It was amazing! The one thing that stands out about this place is the masseuse focuses on the areas of the body that need attention. Most places I've gone to in the past just ignore the forms that you've completed and just do their own thing. I highly recommend Thai Style Massage. read more

Thai Style Massage - Lobby - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

I booked an appointment with a massage therapist, confirmed it. She didn't show up to work that day. Didn't notify me neither did the company, I walk in and she is no where to be found and they informed me she won't be coming in. Why are you allowed to book with people on there site if they don't come to work? Unprofessional. Ending up walking out. read more

Amazing massage by Vanessa! My whole body was very stiff and her massage really helped. My neck had been hurting for months and one massage from her and it felt almost completely better. Going in again to see if I can completely get rid of the stiffness. Could not recommend more! read more

Have had a great experience every time I visit. Just had a massage from Tammy. Wow! I'm going to get some good rest tonight.

Poondee walked in room to start my massage, o mistakenly thought because she was tiny it would be a light massage. I like them hard with lots of pressure. That's what i got! She walked on my back and it was amazing!! She is super knowledgeable and will adjust to pressure you prefer. Thank you, and i will be returning. The place is colorful and average for most of the tiny massage places. Cute tropical flower o bed when you enter private room. Atmosphere is not a fancy resort spa, BUT i would rather have an amazing massage. This massage perfectly done. Walking on back, stretching me. I recommend the combination massage. I changed mine from 60 to 80 min. Added bonus is they give you a card and after 10 massages 11th is free! read more

This is one of the best (if not the best) local massages in PB! I tend to hold a lot of tension in my neck, upper back, and shoulders, and May is a strong and natural healer. Without fail, she knows exactly how to target my problem spots to provide instant relief, increase my sense of openness, as well as my range of motion so that I can move more freely throughout. The facility is clean and zen and the therapists are absolutely amazing. May is a miracle worker. read more

Amazing!!! I got a 60 min Thai style massage and think I'll have to book 90 min next time. The massage therapist, May, was skilled and strong. This was my first Thai massage (she used her feet to really get some good pressure and moved my body to stretch/get different angles) and she made it comfortable and not awkward at all. She used some hot stones too, and I've never felt them used so effectively before! May even cracked my back with her toes - I had no idea that was even possible! She also expertly identified the areas of my body that were really tight and needed some extra attention, and it felt SO good. Both staff members were super nice as well. They even graciously let me park my bike just inside the doors since I forgot my bike lock key like a fool. read more

This is the best massage in Pacific Beach, you can get That style only (they walk on you and stretch you) or Swedish style (with oil and hands on). The vibe is nothing special so don't expect a spa but I got the combination (both styles) and it was amazing, I walked in with a sore neck, shoulders and even jaw pain and walked out feeling incredible. Good service, good price, amazing massage. read more

A friend recommended this place and I'm happy she did! I've had many different types of massage, but was new to Thai style. I prefer deep tissue and hard pressure, so for me this style is amazing. Nae, who was my masseuse, was kind, professional and very talented. There was a mix of standing on my back, deep tissue work with oil and wonderful stretching. The price is great and the atmosphere is soothing. read more

I love Thai massage. This is the only thai place I will go to in San Diego. I've known the owners for many years, when they had one location, so it's amazing to see them grow their business. I've been getting massages from them over the years and its always great. The stretching and walking on are something I look forward to everytime. Last night I had Diane and I love her! Shes knows what to do and gives great pressure and checks in with you on the pressure. I have brought one person to each of their locations and they always love it. I will 100% reccommend and will be back! read more

Diane gives the best 90 minute, hot stone massage. I plan to have a 2 hour massage with her next time. She is strong and is able to work out all the kinks in my back and shoulders. It's very soothing in the room and the beds and sheets are always comfortable. read more

We called on a Wednesday afternoon to see if they had time for 2 people for an hour later and they did. I left the massage feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated. My masseuse Diane was experienced and caring, she made sure the pressure is ok throughout the session and asked me about my needs and preferences which were all met. We were a couple in a room with 2 beds, and we each got 60 minutes with hot stones ($10 extra). The massage was a Thai- Swedish combination. Prices are really reasonable given their location and service. If you pay with cash you get $5 off. Place itself is small and modest but I didn't need more than that. Next time I'm in Pacific Beach I'll probably go again! read more

I booked a massage online for my husband for Father's Day through the Thai Style Massage website. When he arrived, they couldn't find his reservation and ended up giving him the wrong massage. I was pleasantly surprised by how good my combo massage was!!! Thank you Diane!!! I will be back!

Update: The owner turned my experience around today. After a not so stellar experience; he reached out and asked me to get his spa another try (complimentary) at his El Cajon Blvd location. Diane did not disappoint! She had good pressure and did a perfect combo style massage. She also does massages at this location (I noticed after reading a review mentioning her name). I'd highly recommend Diane! Previous review: I found Thai style massage on Groupon. I made an appointment the day before and the gentleman was friendly and accommodating. I'd like to preface my review by stating that I've had a Thai massage before. I know what it entails, and it's a different style, but I've done it previously and enjoyed it. Not my experience here, unfortunately. The lady who did my massage used very hard pressure. I literally had to tell her 4-5 times within the first half of the massage it was "too much." Other times, not counting the previous 4-5 times, I moaned in pain or called out. I recognize I was very stiff on this day on my shoulders, back and whatnot. But he pain over and over after being told the pressure was too much, was more than I could bare. Also, when doing the Thai style massage, they wrap their legs with your legs and while doing this several times the masseuse pinched my skin on my legs with her feet or her leg. I give them two stars because the gentleman at the front was friendly and there were a couple portions of the massage that were decent--but overall, this was not a pleasant experience. read more
