Just tried this place for the first time as a treat to myself. I was a bit hesitant because of some of the lower reviews and I'm always nervous trying a new place for spa services but I was pleasantly surprised. The massage was thorough and very well done, I didn't want it to end! It was so relaxing - and the areas I was tight was a good kind of hurt. The women working there were super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Some negative reviews mention tipping and I did not have that problem at all. No one asked me to pre pay or pre tip, and in the end at the front I asked to tip on card and once she saw she actually was surprised and said most people didn't tip that much - so definitely no pressure with that. Most negative reviews were from years ago so maybe new management? Overall I had an amazing experience and definitely will be incorporating this location into my normal routine. read more

I've been here quite a few times because it is in my neighborhood and the massages have been relaxing and reasonable on previous visits. I went back today for an hour long massage ($65) and my male therapist was kind but quite rough. He moved & dropped my limbs around like they were pieces of firewood & in general, his manner did not show evidence of being a skilled masseuse. He primarily used arm & elbow pressure for my back & when he massaged my scalp, I thought my skull might crack. When I flipped over on my back, I think there was only about 10 minutes left of the session and he never got to my feet which I was hoping he'd attend to because they were barking. I did enjoy when he stretched my legs to each side, although when he stretched me to the left, I nearly slid off the massage table. So, long story short, this place has had hits & misses. Today, unfortunately, was more of a miss than a hit. One of the masseuses noted that the manager wasn't in today, and perhaps that contributed to my subpar experience. read more

I'm not sure what happened, but the level of service here has definitely dropped off recently. I used to be a frequent patron. The massages do not seem to be as expertly performed. Also, the last time I was there, the woman that gave me the massage wore gloves. Completely took away from my enjoyment. They did recently do some upgrades to the business on the interior and it does look much nicer. I might try them one more time just to see if it was a fluke or if that's the way it is there now. I was very happy they took us during their last available appointment. We didn't feel rushed and the massage was very amazing. We did a 60min couple's combo massage. In some instances when you get a massage, the masseuse focuses solely on the back, and sometimes they don't listen when you request other focus areas. I was very pleased when my masseuse changed the focus area which is my arms and hands. It was soooo amazing and my gosh, I should definitely get the 90 min next time!!! The pressure was perfect. The only thing I wish was different is that we didn't get chest or front shoulder area and face. It could've been the timing since we came so close to closing or I chose a massage that doesn't include facial massage. I was also just a bit uncomfortable when face down because of the extra stuff covering the bed. But that's all for sanitary reasons. Just being transparent. Soo sorry dissatisfied. I feel this last visit would be the determining to not return. I went in yesterday and specified to the lady in the reception that I wanted upper body only, wanting only upper back, arms and head. No lower body. I mentioned I didn't want lower back either. Within the first 5 minutes, the masseuse went towards legs and lower back and as much as I repeatedly said I didn't want lower back because I l currently have pain, he kept including it as part of the back routine. By the 4 attempt at mentioning it, I gave up from the frustration. I only got 2 minutes of arms max and he finished with feet, which again isn't what I wanted this time around. His technique was also purely elbow pressure and not a mix of both hands and elbows like other masseuse. I wanted to complain to the lady in the front but she wasn't there when I was done. Pre-paid, should have gone to Massage Envy, but they had immediate availability. My masseuse spent a solid amount of time on my upper inner thighs, when I circled that my back and feet were in pain. She spent 5 minutes on my feet, total, and bruised my left one so severely that a week later, I'm still struggling to walk. When she flipped me right side up, she didn't cover my eyes but did make sure to massage my boobs. She went IN on my inner thighs and boobs. Her fingers got way too close for comfort to my privates and when she brushed over, I jumped sky high and she said "oh sorry it's fine" and pulled me back down. Back was fine but don't think any knots or anything were noticed or worked on. Go to the scrub room, already regretting my decision to pre-pay and do this. Lay out on the scrub table and she again just does my boobs and coochie. I'm CONVINCED there were cameras in this place. I definitely feel violated. I won't be back. DO NOT COME HERE. I frequently get massages and decided to try this place as I saw it on class pass. I did the "deep pressure" massage, and I honestly do not have words to describe how bad this was. The woman started by removing my underwear and pulling them below my butt and then proceeded to massage my butt for almost half of the massage. Also dumped so much oil on me. The only portion of "massaging" done to my back was rubbing with elbows and extremely aggressive gripping of my neck. It was very obvious that she had absolutely zero idea what she was doing. She then got on the table with me and straddled me multiple times to rub my back during said "massage". She even had her shoes up on the table at one point. I felt extremely uncomfortable, but she did not speak much English so I did not really even know how to tell her to end it. She massaged my inner thighs, and got way too close for comfort. She picked up my limbs and then dropped them to the table from up high, and at the end of the massage she wiped down my entire body very aggressively with a rough damp towel. Well, I had a massage here yesterday and it was very good but basic. If you'd like a nice deep tissue and you want to be sore to the touch of the next day, ask for a strong massage. Personally, I would've gone for the medium because it today it hurts to even have my backpack on my back. But for 90 minutes Monday and Tuesday they charge you $85. You can't get a better price than that. And they were very friendly and accommodating. I do suggest getting the table shower for the extra $20 nice to get all cleaned up afterwards. I was hesitant to try this place but I did because the reviews seemed good overall and it's super close to my house. I walked in to check in and the schedule was Barry legible on a piece of notebook paper. Whatever - just seemed unorganized. Wasn't asked to fill out any paperwork. Then was asked to pay and tip before the service. ??? This was weird. How do you tip before the service? Makes no sense to me but thought I'd still give it a chance. The massage started. A nice woman. Seemed good. Then after about 10 minutes someone starts banging on the door. So she opens it and has a loud conversation with several people. They were not speaking English so I don't know what they were saying but found out later. The door closed and I'm alone for @ 10 minutes. The door opens again and a man says 'hi'. Um, I'm facedown AND I had requested a female therapist. This is not ok. He proceeds to tell me that the woman who started the massage had to go process a payment because she is the only one that knew how to do it. I'm sure they (as in the Holiday Spa) get charged for the fees for utilizing their advertisement versus going in and them honoring the $35 as promoted. - I spoke to Lucy who was the go to person. She ended up being the front desk and massager for me. I did ask for hot stone and she didn't charge me extra, but I think that was included in the Groupon. If I'm wrong, sorry!... - Sooo they listed the amount that should be tipped at the front desk. I kind of like it and I kind of think it's funny at the same time. Sometimes, people don't like the service and they'll tip as they please. And the majority of the time, people buy into coupons and such to get a cheaper rate so when someone asks you or displays tip amounts... rule of thumb is to tip people based off of what the service would have originally cost you to begin with... but who follows rules, right? Just kidding! - Lucy was super helpful, friendly, and welcoming! The only thing is they charge a whole $2 for credit card charges... regardless of the amount that you pay. A little bogus.. After a relaxing surprise weekend in San Diego this was the last stop. It's a great little small spa. It's clean and I noticed that they had a sauna inside and have a couple of massage rooms (single ones and some for couples massage). I didn't have any kinks or pains so I can't say that I was healed after my massage but I did leave me feeling like bambi.They used hot stones and those felt great. Our massage therapists were great checking in on us and making sure we were "ok". Okay, I'll make this view easy and short :) I went there a few days ago, and I had an amazing experience there. I can't wait to share it on here. :) The place is very clean and all the therapists are very nice. I work 6days a week and seat the office all day. My back and my shoulder are really sore all the time. I had full body massage, and the therapist especially works on my shoulders and back. It reduces the sore from my shoulders and back. I also pay the extra $10 for the sauna, it works really well, after the therapy and get like 10-15min sauna, it makes feel much better and more relaxed. I definitely recommend this place. I also suggest tip them like $20 per hour, I tip $30 cause the magic therapy takes all my sore away lol Book your reservation now!!!!!!!!!!! I've been to this place for years. They always give me the best service. I use to get 1 hr full body massage, these days I will do 90 min full body massage. I walk in and she asks if I have an appointment then says the word "40" over and over, and asks if I want to tip now, saying I need to tip $10 but that "most people" give $20. I sit down and shake it off knowing that it doesn't matter because I won't be seeing her in a few minutes anyway. Then she walks to the massage room and tells me to get undressed. The massage itself wasn't bad, but when I say that I mean that it was such a subpar massage that my expectation lowered to a place where not being in pain seemed like a luxury. The majority of the massage was her working on my butt, but she would take short vacations to my back and once even my neck! I left feeling more relaxed to their credit; the massage and customer service switched the stress from my muscles to my mind. She stopped two separate times in the middle of the massage to ask me to pay her more money, for the tip and for a "table shower" (?). I asked her "Do you mean right now?" (as I laid there naked in the middle of the massage she was giving me??) to which she hesitated and said "No (???) This was after she covered me in 3 different sticky lotions, so I took her up on it and was pleased to find she only LOOKED at my penis, a pleasant surprise to my, again, rock bottom expectations. Bottom line, don't go here. The 5 star rated reviews this place has are just unthinkable, don't think to yourself "oh, well, maybe the people who wrote the 1 star ratings are just bitter people, I'm sure it will be great!" or you'll pay somebody $50 to step on you and spray your genitals with a hand hose. After, she brought me to the room, made me wait. When she finally got into the room, she started stepping on my back, it was way too hard. Me and my boyfriend went in for a couples massage from the Groupon we bought and the massage was okay, just could hear a lot of talking in the building next to us so it wasn't the most relaxing. Plus I didn't even fill out an intake form so it seemed a little sketchy. I also thought it was interesting how there was a man and woman but the man massaged me and the woman massaged my boyfriend but I just let that go cause I don't care. Once our massage was finished we were cornered by the 2 massage therapist and the receptionist yelling "tip tip tip" and so as we put the tip on our card I say "12 bucks, 6 for each masseuse" and she laughs and goes "20 bucks is what everyone does" and made it seem like a huge deal that I wouldn't tip them 10 each. My massage therapist decided to skip the body scrub that was part of the promotion. The "shower" is a disgusting room with a serious Community Gym vibe, and the sauna is an actual joke.
